Creative Assembly studio director, Tim Heaton, recently told Eurogamer.net that the just announced Alien ‘action’ title and movie are unlikely to be linked. The studio director says:

“What we can say is that we understand that games that are time-constrained to be day-and-date with the movie are often flawed so it’s probably something that we wouldn’t really want to be tied to.”

The game was announced at a press event held in the UK as part of an  industry gathering with the Minister for Culture, Ed Vaizey. But it's  likely to be a long way off until we hear much more about it.

Sounds good to me. Not being tied to the movie allows it more creative freedom.

Thank God it's a 10,000 square foot studio, the game would be shit if it was only 5000.....  ???

Well the game is based on the Alien MOVIES. Lol just kidding. Yeah good to hear that they are not tying this in with a up coming film or product.

Point is the new facility is huge. It plans to have around 200 staff within the year, all in aid of the game's development.
