It was actually more subtle, it took me a while to process what I just watched, even a bit of denial.

Just wait and see. Book 1 (Season 1) is pretty much just an introduction to characters and sets up everything that follows. Now, the real story begins!

And Book 2 is just buildup for when the story really gets going in 3!

Gah, I need to finish these.

Just re-watched Season 1, and...

The death of Eddard still hits me like a pile of bricks! I'd read the book years ago, and it is very emotional when he dies. But the filmmakers did a damn good job in making it 'Edge of Your Seat' material. I'd watched Season 1 three times now, and every time, it's still affective.
