I may have seen you at London!

You probably did, I was the original model Cyberman but as a Cyber-Controller variant (so I had a transparent orange dome on my head with exposed brain inside), lights in the chest unit.
I picked up some really good bargains with Predator figures on those days - I picked up Broken Tusk, x2 Hornhead Predators (one to keep, one to head-swap and custom), Machiko, an extra Fugitive Predator, and a Bad Blood vs Enforcer two-pack. Comic Cons are the best times to pick up Alien and Predator figures, and just good fun days meeting fellow fans.

I have just picked up an Elder Predator/Golden Angel from Cardiff Comic Con, and I'm just blown away about how amazing this figure is.
The details, the paint, and the accessories.

I did remove both of the bio masks (the hot water technique made the masks just pop-off) and now  I can use the same head and just swap the bio masks. It now looks cool to pose him with the unmasked head, holding on to his bio mask.

The spare head for the masks, I'm going to repaint for the Elder Predator 'Greyback' (Predator 2) so I can give him an option for wearing a bio mask.

You were there too?

I was dressed as the Doctor Who Cyberman, buying Predator figures. And the same for London Comic Con Spring (02/03/19 - 03/03/19)

It is the best time to get Alien and Predator figures at a good price. I got another Broken Tusk Predator cheap - because of damaged packaging, no problem for me as I never keep them in packages. The spare I'm going to customize.

Wait, you were the one who suggested the black and white video of you walking around Cardiff to the Tomb of the Cybermen music? I was in the full Black Suit with the Hydra ID and my mate was as an Agent of Shield (he had the huge black beard)

That's me. I remember you both, good to hear from you.
Just so you know - I did cosplay as a Xenomorph once at London Comic Con a couple of years back (got some good reactions on the train back). And I made a little video on youtube of that Xenomorph Cosplay at  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cc2ZOC3OycE

Machiko is a very good figure, the detail is SWEEEEEEET!
I love the addition of her own removable Bio Mask. I haven't bought the Arcade Predators yet (last payday was a bit 'bleugh')

I recommend the Hornhead Predator, it is so sweet with the removable Bio Mask, and that big sword OMG! Needless to say I had to pick up a couple at Comic Con - the second I have given the head to a spare Fugitive Predator, the armour and mask I'm repainting gloss black. I will post pics when I have finished the work.

I was a bit miffed when the new Enforcer Predator I got out of the pack - the right gauntlet broke off the elbow, no way I can repair that break :(. After some thought I will custom that Predator into a new character :) (hopefully pickup another Bad Blood vs Enforcer without any flaws). Annoying when problems like that happens (shame because neca is usually reliable, and other copies of same figure have not had the same problems), but I use the irritation as an opportunity to 'think outside the box' and create something new. Again I will post pics when the work is done.

Forbidden Planet London megastore had plenty of the arcade ones, even machiko and broken tusk. But them prices, damn, is it brexit or just a bad deal?!

Will be ordering them from local shops, settled for some comics and a Halo artbook.

You poor EU/UK folks. I would pull my hair out as a collector. I will never complain about $35 figures (including shipping) ever again.

UK had them for about £37 or €44, but local shops have them for around €30-35 normally. A couple of years ago I remember most of my lost clan to be around 20-25...

It's normally the reverse for me. The locals are more expensive.

Picked up the Elder Golden Angel figure at a new and used record store (didn't even know they sold Neca). I'm all for more of the Dark Horse comics Preds. Also picked up an Engineer on sale for $12 which is cool because I didn't know about Neca when Prometheus was released. Also needed an engineer to go with Ahab!

My local Forbidden Planet actually had loads of everything in! Except the one figure I actually went for - the Scorpion.  :'( Plenty of IR Fugitive, the Deluxe Alien Warriors, the last Predator wave, the arcade Predators and the Kenner Aliens.

I love Comic Cons for purchasing Alien and Predator figures - especially if the stall holder does a discount due to damaged packaging, which doesn't bother me as I never keep them in packaging (hear collective "Gasp"). They are more fun out of packaging, plus how else are we supposed to create our own fan fiction storylines.

Action figures are meant to be freed from their tiny plastic prisons.

EXCELENT! I couldn't agree more.

I also find that carefully removing them from packaging while still at comic con (I put accessories in zip-lock sandwich bags), really helps with carrying - what took four carrier bags now take just one carrier bag.
