I was never a fan of big red, I'm strictly on the movies with a few exceptions in the comic book realm. But to answer your question I have no clue about big red v2, but get pumped for concrete jungle!

Speaking of comic books, the kenner AvP 2-pack comes with "an exclusive comic", is it just a repaint of the old comic or is it something new?

Now I'm curious as to which body they'll use for Scar. P1 and P2? Or the AVP?

I would suspect the AvP bodies as they would be the newest molds. Not sure if they have the others ready to use at their factories.

Newer, and vastly flawless improved bodies wouldn't exactly bar NECA from going back. I've asked them before, a long time ago. Whatever body they pick is used to best represent the Predator they're trying to make.

Don't get me wrong, I hope they use the AVP bodies, because they're shaping up to be the absolute best.  However, going from Scarface's CG cutscene body, he doesn't have netting, from what I remember. I'd assume that's the model NECA would go for when sculpting. Now if they do use that model, plus the AVP bodies, with sculped netting. We'll get another figure with no netting, but it's clearly sculpted on. That's the main reason I won't buy the Renegade Predator, and the new TRU exclusive 2 back. Because you can see the netting there, even though it's not supposed to be. Really ruins the figure. Hope that won't happen with Scarface.

The final image you posted clearly shows netting on the legs. Unless I am reading you wrong, you're saying you believe they will sculpt something that isn't there, thus ruining the accuracy?

No, what I'm saying is, if they use the CG cutscene Scarface as the design, and the AVP bodies, Scarface might have unpainted netting. Which I think is quite distracting. I'm aware the in game model does have netting. But I'm speculating that NECA will use the more detailed cinematic cutscene version.

yeah that would, it may sound silly(far fetch) but hell thats the progression that companies like NECA etc. are heading towards if you told me back in 93 that a "toy company" would make a highly articulated action figure, based on my favorite character of all time featuring realistic paint apps and a sculpt thats was nearly spot would be made into a toy for around 25.00(and under)...

in 20 years from now I wouldn't rule it out

hell toys might just "play" themselves, implanted by micro chip
