They sure do. But I think its mostly because you are trying to bash them off of you with your gun... That sounds wrong but by gun I mean Pulse RIfle.

The only alien that ever seemed like it was humping anything was the dog alien from Alien3.  This makes perfect sense if you ever had the misfortune of getting your leg humped by a dog since it has long been established that all xenomorphs take on some qualities of their host.
