I tend to agree though.  If you woke up and don't remember falling asleep in a temple with Aliens in it while you're on an Alien hunt - you could work it out.  Much like the Hadley colonist or Sebastian worked it out.

In the script, Scar was going to pick up the knife after being impaled and try to stab itself, but get weak and die before it could. In ADI's book there's a photo of Anderson showing them how he wanted the knife held. But it ultimately got cut...

Yeah right. If a real predator (the ones from the original movies) was in scar's shoes, they wouldn't give a damn whether lex lived or died.
