In your "always specify these command line parameters" field put

-rez AVP25.rez

and check the box next to it.

Voila. If you put other custom stuff, make sure that "-rez AVP25.rez" is the last one in the list.

Make sure UAC is OFF when you unzip and run it.

If you're connecting to a 1096 server through a third party (HLSW/GS/XF) app, you're gonna get that message. Are you sure you're connecting to a LF server?

Try the LT home server or SG-2 or nWo, and see if you get the same message.

Xhan thanks but pardon my ignorance again, I do not know what this LF server is? All I did was install the lithfaq MS client and tried to connect as I'd always done. I hadn't connected for at least a month and when I tried it recently, I couldn't connect to anything.

The LF (LithFaq) is the new master server. They've moved it, so you'll need the patch (or patches) below to connect to the new server.
