Pred Queen?

I didn't care for the Predalien Queen. In the game, a normal queen will replace her soon after she dies. On the topic of Chet, I think she would have looked like the other queens if she had fully grown. This way, the queen would remain a purebred. Has anyone else noticed that the predalien in the artwork for the game is predalien queen? If anyone has the instruction booklet for game, look at it and you'll see.

I know they were an experiment. I was just wondering if the reason they were a different color (which is never explained in game) was because they were born of the eggs from the genetically engineered predqueen.

I doubt they really are a different color. It's just so we can tell them apart. Same as how the Red Aliens in Genocide aren't actually red.

They are not from the PredQueen. The Aliens from her look normal. In a Predator mission, you fight K-seires Aliens in a lab. So the K-seires and the PredQueen are the products of two different experiments.

Ps The pred level where you have to kill the dishonored pred, you can see Praetorian facehuggers at his feet... they got the pred queen from that poor soul.

The novelization retconned it so it was only a slight discoloration. I did like that explanation. Made more sense than brightly coloured Aliens.
