Alien3 (Workprint bootleg)

Out of curiosity, how/when was the workprint released? What's the quality like?

It was never 'released' as such - I guess it just kinda 'escaped' around the time Alien3 was released in theatres.

The quality on my version is fairly shite in comparison to an official release (I dunno what generation the copy is - must be at least fourth or fifth) and there's a lot of hiss on the soundtrack, but it's still quite watchable.  At the start of each reel there's a nifty WY logo as if the tapes are Company property.

Yeah they did go a little crazy with the WY idea, they even wore t-shirts and caps with the WY logo on, I think its a fun idea, it keeps your mind focused on what film you are working on.

I have 3 of the collection, like you, but I have "Predator Bust", Elder Predator" and "Wounded Predator" these are fun things to collect with good detail on them, I need more, might buy another soon

From a distance they look somewhat childish, but you get up close and theres some great detail there. And the best thing? Their cheap!

Berserker is the rarest? I always thought Rogue was the hardest to find. Well lucky me

I think Berserker only got one printing. That's why it's rare.

I have a trust issue with Amazon - being that I don't. I mostly get all my stuff from Ebay.
