Greetings from Germany's Lego competitor Bluebrixx.

A very nice and affordable kit of the USS Sulaco.

Sticker not included, some parts had to be glued for stability.

Due to licensing reasons (I guess) the kits are not tagged after the in-movie names.

After all a well spent two days off vacation ..

I've been getting a lot of BlueBrixx's licensed Stargate models recently (and I love them) but I'd never noticed this one! Do you have a link to it? I can't see it on their website.

Found this baby whilst doing some early spring cleaning. Forgot I still had it in my collection.

Funny story. I got this literally a few days before the movie came out (I had won tickets to the premiere here in Adelaide). Stupid of me though that I read it from cover to cover and subsequently ruined the entire plot of the film!!

Still have my copy from 1986. It's badly battered from years of use. The Burke cocoon pic intrigued me at the time. I was hoping it would make the final film (as the photo's caption hinted at otherwise).

I didn't go to see the film though. Can't remember why? I did borrow it when it was originally released on videotape in '87. Enjoyed it a lot - even if I though the film was too long!

You sparked a memory for me - I remember also expecting that Burke cocoon scene based on the image in the magazine and then wondered why it wasn't shown!

That ALIENS magazine was the first time I had ever heard of the Burke cocoon scene. It's an excellent publication - a worthy companion piece to the official Warren movie magazine for the original film - which also disclosed its own cocoon scene!

Not long after, my high school also stocked the novelisation, which I also read (and the TIME magazine with Weaver & Queen on the cover).
