Its not 'all time' figures at all. its 2007.
Which is why only one of those movies was released this year?

My movie theater was packed with tickets sold out, huge lines and other cool things for AVP 2
I saw this 9:30am on Boxing Day (yes, there is an "am" on Boxing Day) and while not "packed", the session was far from the private showing I was anticipating.  Probably about two-thirds full.

I would be surprised if the takings were less than AvP, even after inflation.  And didn't AvP-R have a substantially smaller budget?

Are these really 'all time' or just recent? Surely Jurassic park or Titanic would have topped these.
This opening day released on X-mas.

as long as it has over 40 million this weekend, I think with overseas and DvD sales... we are pretty much guaranteed AVP3.

I'd like to see the Bros. take on the AVP-verse. I think with more creative control and a better script, like the one the submitted the first time round, they could do well.

It's not the highest all time gross on Christmas Day.  It's the third highest OPENING on Christmas Day.  As in the third highest gross for a film opening on Christmas Day.

so does it have to make up 40 million to be at least reasonable.. and higher for success?
Does this include overseas and domestic? and over how long a period?

Fans descended and has fallen off, basically and should be. In whole goes, as predicts CS.

14 million for 2 days, CS gave 17-19 million. In whole this money have pleased me, I thought 5 million will take for Christmas, and here 9 million.

Film has an every prospect after holidays to have 40 million. It pleases, because in totals will be not less 60 million. All film has left for New Year's holidays + rating R + AvP to much has not liked+ many movies.

The bad gift for Christmas, main that has beaten off could go in the steps Grindhouse, and here not.
