I'm totally emersed in AVP right now. I've watched all 7 movies in the franchises this past week, I've been collecting the comics, reading the novels, playin "Extinction", and even watching the production disc's for each movie.
I'll be like the topic creator when the movie comes out in the US and I'll still have to wait another 15 days.

It was pretty messed up in germany with the first avp movie, the guys in the us had the movie in the summer and we had to wait till november :P

I'm actually having a much tougher time waiting for Brian Tyler's soundtrack, which sounds like it's gonna be great.
I'm just being as patient as possible. I can be really patient and besides there are other things in life in my case school, halo/red vs blue, friends, vido games, ebay, and other AVP related things such as this site.
I was fine before I found this site lol, then I stumbled upon it and saw all of the news and now I am like an upsessed fan girl.

Maaan I'm panicking because I'm having dreams that I go to see the movie, but I pass out from excitement and never get to see past the opening credits. Then the dream goes on so that happens every time I see the movie, and everyone on this site won't tell me anything about it.
It's driving me crazy.

well I haven't been dreaming about it, but i fear I will pass out from the excitement of my hormones raging to see Wolf do his thing.
I can't wait for this movie to come out, this is going to be the AVP movie I was waiting for last 2004. Even though I liked the first AVP, I saw the first film more as a warm up of things to come, but it still could been way better!
My biggest problem with the first AVP really was the lack of violence it had. The film held back way too much, you can tell that everyone making the film really didn't want AVP to be violent at all, thats a big f**k up on everyones part. Your making a film about about Aliens and Predators, it better be extremely violent and guess what? AVP2 is going to be. Thank god talents like the brothers knew that and are now making AVP2 hard R.
This time, AVP2 won't hold back! It's going all the way that the first AVP didn't. The film is going to have more action, better directing, a much more better score too.
I wish it would take place in space, but who cares at this point! We are going to get a hard hitting action flick! I really believe in the end alot of AVP fans are going to be very happy in what they see. I know the brothers did their best and they really care about what we think, the fact they came all these times to talk with us fans means alot, so I really think everything is going to work out in December.

Me 2 dude. I remember being a teenager visiting AVPNews.com (what happenned to that site?) everyday looking for any news about an AVP movie cause it was in pre production hell for years. I can wait another month though. Ill be ok.
God can't wait but if it's going to end up sucking then the longer we have not knowing it's going to suck and in anticipation the better. Not saying it will though. :-\

I Can Hold Out, It's Only One More Month... but then again that's only in the US, I'll have to wait two months. But I won't cos when it comes out in the US, spoilers will be everywhere and wikipedia will have the whole plot (sometimes you can trust wikipedia) and I'll be tempted to find out what happens, then I'll be even more tempted to download the movie or watch it online, someone will obviously post the best fight scenes and the ending on youtube and I'll eventually watch it even if I do try to resist. That's the bad thing about release dates, when it comes out later in your country (I'm in the UK), you already know the whole plot and when you come to watch it, its boring, well most of the time anyway. Anyway, I'm not sure if I can hold out for two months...

Honestly I'm more looking forward to I Am Legend. I probably won't see AvP 2 until a week after its release, Christmas is time for family and friends.
I don't think I'm even going to be able to see it until mid-January. I'm going to be in England until around the 15th, and it doesn't come out there until the 18th, so I'll just see it when I get back to the states...

Personally it hasn't affected me that much yet, Spidey 3, now that i went crazy over, and look what happended, the first time I saw it it was a huge dissapointment for me.

I reckon no matter how long you wait....the best feeling you get from waiting for a movie isnt the long wait or the feeling after the movie...its the feeling just before the movie is just about to start, and everthing youve been waiting for leads up to this moment.

You see a noticeable increase in activity, the place is jam-packed, debates get more heated, and you can just feel the energy.
Cherish these moments cause pretty soon after everybody watches and dissects AvPR, this place is gonna get less and less frequented. And in a twisted sort of way, I'm gonna miss all those whiners even if they do annoy me from time to time. :-[

I have to wait until January 31 in my country. And yes I can wait and i will wait. This is worth the wait. I want to see first in the cinema. Nothing(Even the DVD and the HD TV can't) can give back the experience what the movie can give you.
Least it isn't as big a wait as the last film. Resorted to a pirate last time. Still saw it in the cinema mind - twice but the 2nd time was with a coupon :P. I think I might manage to wait for the UK release this time.

at first i was really excited to see this movie, then i saw the trailer....but then i heard some reasuring words from colin...then i saw the miget aliens...then colin said something that got my hopes up again...now i'm waiting for the inevitable bad news that will once again make my expectations for his movie drop. :P
It's slowly creeping closer and I'm getting more excited than ever.

The soars on my arse are festering from trying to get as much info about the film while sitting on this damn chair. every day that gets closer, I get more and more riled up, I have no idea what state I will be in a few days before the film, I'll be totally besides myself. I am already freaking out that there was a pic of a bus with the film on the back on the front page here.
I will be scary the day before, I know it. I won't be able to sleep, eat or do anything but sit in a corner muttering to myself slowly going insane at every last second that passes....
But then, I am soaking in every moment leading up to this, I donlt want it to go too fast but at the same time..hurry the f**k up.
I'll milk this for all its worth, for once I've seen the film, all the excitement will be over. It will be a sad day because it's not that often I look forward to a film this much, and I will miss all this fun guessing what's going to happen and all the excitement on the boards here.
I'm exited yes, but am reserving it for when i finally get to see it. If its good like i'm hopin, my flatmate is gonna be poking so much fun at me cause of how i'm going to be afterwards. If not, well it seriously SERIOUSLY can't be any worse than AvP.

since opening day, i think i may have seen each pred movie, alien, aliens and alien3 approx 70-100 times each. i think that's close to 2-3000 hours of sitting and watching these movies.... not sure though...

it's not really. i mean the first one was so disapointing it's hard for me to have a lot of hope. i'm going to go watch it because i don't have anything else to do and i mean it looks ok in the trailers certainly a step up from the first one but i doubt if it will be anything more than stupid monsters running amok killing eachother and humans are mixed in for a story. a real writer could manage this story needing only a minimal number of human characters

After listening to the complete Brian Tyler score I have to say ,this movie is really going to be something very special. I have a big feeling our time has come my fellow AVP fans. The curse of Paul Anderson we be lifted from our nightmares and we can finally dream again.
After listening to the AVPR score....I swear to god I went to another world, a world of pure chaos and darkness, a place were "I'm gonna have me some fun!".
