Can anyone know how to change the resolution of the game (Alien vs Predator 2) to 1280x800

Well it is possible to get Custom Resolutions
Read-on
- Custom Resolutions -
First go to your AvP2 Main Directory located in your C: Drive the path should be C:\Program Files\Fox\Aliens vs. Predator 2 find a file called autoexec.cfg open it with notepad or word etc....
Then find these
SCREENWIDTH 1280
GameScreenHeight 1024
SCREENHEIGHT 1024
GameScreenWidth 1280
^-----------That's my setting, so yours will be
SCREENWIDTH 1280
GameScreenHeight 800
SCREENHEIGHT 800
GameScreenWidth 1280
Save, and start game.
I tried putting 1920 x 1080 into these fields and got an error message after trying to save the file "access is denied."
Any idea how to get around this issue?
I just want to play the game in 1080p resolution.

save the file tp your desktop then drag it into where its suppose to be
Thought it wouldn't work 9n windows 10. I tried compatibility mode and it didn't work, then I also ran the lithtech engine in compatibility mode aswell and it works. Graphics arnt good anymore but the gameplay makes up for that. Also it always had a cartoony look so it hasnt aged as bad as others like alien trilogy.
