The director who posts here informed us that it was the name they called the suit, on set. It let them identify it easier, when they wanted that particular costume.
I must say, though, that most of us are still baffled at that particular choice of name... We're assuming it had something to do with Paxton's character from the film, '
Weird Science', but what?
Just a nickname the creature was given on set, although I don't refer to it by that name...it sounds stupid to me.
I call it the "Great Regurgitator".

Chet is a great nickname, it adds personality and shortens the name.

The Brothers have mentioned before that they started just started calling her Chet after the big monster billpaxton becomes in wierd science. There's nothing more to it. They probably have a fond memory of that film. It's just a big creature in a comedy that they like (that is also ugly) and so they started calling her Chet as a joke.
Wolf is named after the character in Pulp Fiction because his function in the story is exactly the same as Tarantino's character: He removes any evidence of death/existence of his target.
