Title: Help Wanted for ALIENS Accessibility Project
Post by: NecronomIV on Feb 15, 2024, 02:04:12 PM
Hi All,

The film ALIENS is due to be released on bluray soon. It includes an official audio description track intended to help blind/low-vision viewers appreciate the movie.

To help people enjoy the audio description, I have written a draft "Audio Introduction" for the film.

Audio introductions are supplemental accessibility material, common in audio described theatre, that is consumed before the production commences, and typically describes the characters, settings, props and context in greater detail than could be achieved with audio description.

Typical examples of what these look like can be found here:
https://www.skyaccessibility.sky/ad-introductions

An example of an AI with visuals:

And I previously wrote an AI for Alien here:

I am looking for one or two people who would be happy to review my draft for accuracy and any suggestions for improvement.

Please either reply or DM me, and I'll send you the draft for review.

Thank you.
