Which were your favorites and why? I haven't read anything past Fire and Stone but I have been collecting the early stuff for years and try to fill in the holes with the good ones first! Need something to discuss, how about that one with Vikings ("Stalker")?
My top stories are
Labyrinth
Apocalypse: The destroying angles
Book 2/Nightmare Asylum
The Original AVP
Depending on the last issue for Dead Orbit, so far that's there as well.
You have been reading the recent stuff then. What do you think of Dead Orbit or Defiance?
Digging/ dug both.

Same here! I think I really enjoyed Sacrifice too but it's been a while since I read that.

I'm really digging Dead Orbit and am eager to see how that one ends. I think it has the potential to be one of the better ones.
Labyrinth by a large margin, followed by Apocalypse.
I think you'll probably get those answers quite a lot. lol
I find Apocalypse to be over-rated. It's a decent retelling of Apocalypse Now/ Heart of Darkness, but I'd put quiye a few series ahead of it.

If the last issue of Dead Orbit is as good as the first three then i think i have found a contender for best Aliens comic ever. Of course, thats just me.
Defience is amazing for the first 7 issues. 8-12 seemed at lot less focused and felt like the story changed. Still one of the better Aliens comics we have had.

I really loved the art to Sacrifice.
Both Salvation and Sacrifice are crackers.
I think Stronghold is one of the more under-rated series.
Everyone loves pics - here's what I am working with...

Starting to look like my collection ;)
My favorites are...
Aliens series 1-2 (and Earth War), AvP first series, Labyrinth, Newts Tale aaaand Genocide
PS: it may not be Aliens, but I really enjoyed the original Batman vs Predator. Art style was really nice and the match up of the 2 characters just worked given Batman is just boss! ;)
Genocide is pretty solid but gets a bit stupid at the end.
Lots of people seem to like Labyrinth. I have seen a few praising "Music of the Spheres" even though the story is a bit out there.
Both the comic and novel of MOTS do a great job of conveying a story about sound and the creation of a piece of music with the complete absence of audio.
I agree about Stronghold being underrated. I like how out there it was in terms of tone, and I loved the big robot and Jerry.
Alien Harvest has always been one of my favorites. The comic is good, and the novel was great.
As far as newer comics, I rather liked Aliens: Fire and Stone.
I liked how much Stronghold was abour the androids and their place.
Harvest had some good ideas - but some confused execution and some stuff that was monumentally dumb.
I really love Doug Monech's ( think that is spelt wrong ) art for Stronghold. Loved Jerry in that.
Stairway to heaven was good for the little content it had. It had a great atmosphere.
Some of my favorites, in no particular order
Labyrinth
Nightmare asylum
Sacrifice
Stronghold
Salvation
Music of the spears
Berserker
Aliens special
More than human
Fire and Stone
Dead Orbit
Defiance
More Than Human is a bit under-rated too.
Yeah i enjoyed it quite a bit.

I'll second all of this. Stronghold is neat for focusing on the androids for a change. Sure the "second class citizen" thing is a little on the nose and a tad played out, but the art is cool, Jerry is cool, and when the androids finally get sick of their treatment and revolt, the payoff is pretty great.

I remember really liking the themes but then doesn't it end with the main characters pretty much shrugging off the fate of the remaining androids and essentially going "oh well, they're only robots"?
Not as such.
Spoiler
Joy is pretty upset at leaving them behind, particularly Jeri and Dr Payne, but Phil is more pragmatic.

Thanks for that. Joy was the one more bothered by it throughout the story, wasn't she?

Yeah, I agree with that. That #1 ending was such a bombshell!
I think the Batman crossover was fun, especially the first story in the jungle.
Just picked up Dead Orbit - wow #2 may be the bloodiest Alien comic that comes to mind. I can't wait to see how it ends.

Stokoe's work is amazing. If you are a fan of comics in general, check some more of his work out.
Just re-read the first three issues of dead orbit, its a really great series, cant wait to see how it ends.
Been thinking a lil more about series i liked. I actually quite like Aliens Alchemy, the alien is so deadly in that one.
Not one of my favorites but Survival is a neat story, horrendous art though.
Came across a top 15 that reminded me of the thread
www.cbr.com/aliens-the-15-best-xenomorph-comics (http://www.cbr.com/aliens-the-15-best-xenomorph-comics)
I found it funny that the list contains some of the best and worst of the comics, for me anyway.
The fact that they included Female War anywhere near that list makes it pretty much worthless. I mean, yikes.
And "Fire and Stone" is their #1 pick? Really?

PS> Haven't read Dead Orbit yet, sounds like a good one. Pre-Ordered the TPB a long time ago.
I really enjoyed the first Aliens series with Hicks, Newt and Ripley. Genocide, Sacrifice and Apocalypse are awesome too.
