i know its probs been mentioned before but shouldn't they have been like... blown away when the airlock was opened in Aliens?? unless his guts are somewhat tangled in the grating i dont understand how they managed to stay on the ship..
im just nitpicking lol
You are just nitpicking.
Doesn't mean you're not correct though.
A colony and AP Station surviving being at ground zero of a 40 megaton nuclear blast is just nitpicking too. ;D

Who knows, maybe his legs were tangled onto something. But in the image, it's the upper half of a body

That did occur to me too. They might redeem they're 'teh collonee srvived lol' f**ktardedness if they recreate the end of Aliens and show Bishop copping an explosively decompressed whack to the nuts when his legs fly towards the airlock only to hit the dropship landing leg. ;D

HERE!!! THATS BISHOPS UPPER BODY...WTF IS IT DOING THERE ANYWAY. IS IT LANCES???
Pretty sure that's his legs. Which only just escape being sucked out it would seem. Don't recall them lying there in the film, but hey, the attention they've paid to the film is certainly... selective.
If that's the Smart Ass dropship, then the legs should be way off at the back of the hangar behind it.
Someone's moved them. Possibly Ripley. Around the same time she might've opened the loading ramp of the dropship when bringing Hicks to the hypersleep vault.

... If they... Cause I -- Wouldn't you like.... put those in the trash? Or in the cryo chamber WITH Bishop so that they might be reattached back at Earth?
Not just leave a ****ing mess in the middle of the cargo bay like that. Gah.. .That's just stupid.
Remember the game of which you are speaking.
Someone didn't clean up on that blood near the missile rack too. Between that and legs - f**king OH&S nightmare!!
Ripley`s not cleanest house wife you`ll ever meet.
Chill guys it`s just a game. And if vacume of space didn`t sucked out Ripley, I say the legs are clearly safe too.

Except for those poor sad deluded souls who think it's more than that.
Would have been hilarious if at the end of Aliens, Bishops legs fell out the airlock kicking the queen in the head and flinging her into space.

they said it didnt reach all of the colony
the AP station was the core of the explosion, and It is still there when It should have been vapourized...
also, the colony was next to AP station, again the core of such blast of epic proportions, and this colony next to the AP is still there as well...
Bishop's legs being still there is just more mindless fan service; not as serious and laughable as the fact that, not just the colony, but also the AP are still there (trolololcopter on you GB), but well..., you know.
What would be next GB..., Hudson alive and kicking?, "game over man game over!!" hahahah

I like you man, my thoughts too.
We are surrounded here, but what the hell..., let's go get'em (you first xD)
Its funny you made this thread cause I was thinking the same thing and was considering making a thread regarding it too but then I decided I didn't care.
Personally I think it's a cool nod, and in my mind having Bishop's legs somewhere in the hangar bay makes sense. We didn't see them go out the airlock so I'm totally willing to accept they're sitting there, waiting for someone to find them. That and just finding a pair of (android) blood-soaked legs would just be creepy and add to the atmosphere.
I agree this is something we can overlook Mr. xeno. HH and the AP being still there..., that's another story, but well off topic ok. :)
The highly viscous nature of Bishop's internal fluids created much more friction than a less-viscous substance, thus increasing the severed legs' resistance to the vacuum of open space within the flight deck. The remains did move, but the rate of their movement wasn't fast enough to exceed the necessary distance for ejection into deep space in the time that the airlock was open.

Whoa whoa get in line there buddy.
I always assumed they were his legs but looking closer it does look more like upper torso
It looks like it's a promotional photo, it's not like they can't move the legs somewhere else for the actual game. For a promo photo it's fine - it's got the airlock, the dropship, recognizable background material, and Bishop's legs. Rather than people spazzing out over their placement in the photo I think it would be more prudent to see how it's handled in the actual game and then start complaining.

No. Complain now. Get things fixed. Then the game is without said flaws and that much more enjoyable. KK? :)

I get the feeling it was placed there so it was less out of the way for the demonstration. Hopefully you will have to go searching closer to the rear of the dropship or somewhere in the hangar to find it. If other parties were on the Sulaco before the marines there is a chance that someone or something moved it to that location. Who knows.
Its my fault, i moved the legs. Sorry!
I will put them back when I am done. ;D

I can understand that, bringing those sorts of things to GBX's attention means they might get addressed. I'm just saying that outright
condemning the game as violently as some people have isn't exactly the solution. Point out problems, sure, just don't be a frothing sperglord stereotype about it. :P
There are ways of expressing your thoughts and opinions without hate.
Sorry sbout bishop's legs. My cat clawed him up.
Bishop was cut in half right next to the drop ship, the legs could have easily gotten caught up next to the dropship's landing gear.
The queen also visibly threw his legs (and upper half) across the room when she pulled him in half, so with the turbulence of the open airlock they could have ended up pretty much anywhere.
Here's a refresher (in reverse, all I could find on youtube) for those who need a reminder:

And completely unlike what we see in the photo.

Well, no. With the door open and everything blasting out the opening they would be fairly predictably be closer to the airlock if not go out them.
the airlock was to the front of the dropship. the queen trew the legs to it's left, behind it. if they managed not to get sucked out, they SHOULD be tangled in the landing gear of the dropship.
or more likely, they should be in cryostasis with the rest of his body.
They wouldn't have ended up as per the pic on their own, 'cos it meant they flew over the airlock rather than out of it.

i thought she did otherwise he wouldve slid down in the middle of the pod unless he was propped up by a stick :P
Logically she would've put them in there so Bishop could be put back together again when they got home and legs are 'preserved'. Whether she actually did - I don't know.
and whilst were on this topic what about the blood shouldnt it be streaked towards the airlock aswell.... now im really nitpicking lol
Depends on how much of it soaked into the deck or whatever - remember he was "bleeding out" for a while before the airlock was even opened. We don't even know what android blood is (in universe, I mean), let alone how it flows, dries, etc.
hmmm the mind boggles lol
In ALIEN 3 only Bishop's upper half is found.
Well it's also after a major crash, and his upper half is in much worse shape than when Ripley put him in stasis.

Assuming it wasn't sucked out - there should be streaks along the floor where the wind was dragging him too.

You all ever think it might be a different android? Seeing that their are aliens on the ship maybe Weyland sent in another crew before we get their in the game.

Then why conveniently cut the android in half. So we THINK its Bishop?
It's clearly supposed Bishop's legs but that doesn't mean there won't be other android remains.
Speaking of Bishop, apparently Lance Henriksen isn't the only actor from Aliens who will have a related role in A:CM...while Pitchford isn't saying much, there will apparently be another actor from the film reprising their role for A:CM.
I wonder who else it could be... ???

I wouldn't mind seeing a Ian Holmes style android.
Ian Holm is awesome, and his agent is the classiest dude on the planet. I tried to get Ian Holm to do an intro for one of my Let's Play videos and got a lengthy Email back from his agent thanking me for my interest and saying how flattered Ian Holm was that I'd be interested in contacting him, but that he was busy with other projects.
I mean it was probably all bullshit just to get me to go away, but he could have told me to screw off (like Gary Busey's agent did) or just ignored me completely (like many other actors did). Getting essentially a thank-you letter from his agent was a pretty cool change of pace. :)
