I love being a Sportbiker. On the way home from work last night I was on my Suzuki GSXR and some idiot woman driver drove her SUV right into my lane! Good thing I had a suicide lane and functioning front brake. I was so mad I chased her down the street laying on the horn (screaming obsceneties uselessly from inside the helmet) and riding close enough to the side that she could see me in her side mirror.
I decided to give up the chase, with a hungry child waiting at home - going jail over someone else's idiocy is not a good idea at this time. As I pulled away to turn onto a side street, another sportbike came roaring up and took my place on that idiot driver's rear. I love sportbikers

What exactly did you plan on doing, destroying her mirrors with a chain?
^ No, not really one who carries around a chain lol. The plan was to get her to pull over or follow to her destination and give a friendly reminder to LOOK before changing lanes next time. But I saw enough to say that being moron is very popular... for both - drivers and bikers.

Agreed there. There are a lot of thoughtless people out there on both 2 and 4 wheels. So many people just don't seem to care.
^ It's those people, the one's who don't seem to care :-\ Still, I love to ride and love the unspoken community of rocket riders. Strangers riding in packs, getting the finger from harley riders (no offense to harley riders), leaving a half a parking spot open and coming back to find a bike next to you, see a rocket buzz down the street and you feel that big stupid grin on your face...awesomeness.

Yup but I hope the entire series doesn't end; they said the GoW 3 was the end of the trilogy and since Epic Games made millions of dollars for the Gears Of War Saga I don't think they're going to stop just like that. They said it will possibly be focused on new characters but I hope they are the same ones. R.I.P Dom

Halloween
Spoiler
Better then any other holiday, period.
When did Halloween become a holiday? Last I checked people still worked on October 31.
It's a holiday to a Pagan, but most of us call it Samhain instead of Halloween. I think a Holiday is determined by either religion or historical events. So for me I would work Easter because I don't count it as a holiday, but I count Samhain as one.

Oh my. You are certainly very positive. For me, the bad in this world outweighs the good by a ton. Personally, humanity is a horrible species. We are violent and arrogant. Easily tricked and lead to believe lies. We are corruptible. Many you could call me very pessimistic, but I honestly think of myself as a realist. I like your optimism though. Cortland = Mild, sweet taste
Gala = Crisp, juicy, creamy flesh.
Empire = Juicy, firm, and crisp
The one other apple I've ever had that I know of is McIntosh, not a fan of the mildly tart part tolerable when I hungry enough. Granny Smiths I've never had but apparently they are very tart, I'm not a fan of it mildly so I probably wouln't like Granny Smiths.

I would really love it if more FPS developers could implement save-anywhere functionality of yesteryear. The most recent game I can recall that did and did it properly was Deus Ex: HR.

I can see why you'd love it and also why it isn't there, almost every FPS has checkpoints to make it harder and the game longer and then there's stuff like Dead Space 2 only 4 saves and AVP 2010 Nightmare mode. It's just in the hopes it gives the game a higher rating because that's what people look at before buying a game they don't know anything about. Skyrim was the first game to have the perfect autosave system... IMO!
It's the most annoying thing in the gaming world, to come so far and die because of a careless mistake or because of a surprise enemy and have to start way back wherever just for that. Checkpoints only became a problem once FPS became multi-platform titles. Yes, I blame consoles.

f**king Xbox.
I blame developers, they care only about the cash and not the fans. All I can do is cross my fingers and hope ACM is different.
there's no greater feeling in the world than finding a remix of a videogame you loved and thought nobody else knew existed.

No. Gunpowder, it's always the same, it's kinda foggy out and all you smell is burning wood from peoples bonfires and gunpowder from the fireworks hearing the pops every 10 seconds as the fireworks go off, the sound of the police and ambulance sirens. Year after year it just becomes more nostalgic.
Oh, you mean the 5th of July?

I was going to say the same thing until I realized, using a hammer would likely result in shattering the ice entirely rather than crushing it for a drink.

QuoteAWESOME REPLY BY AIR HOSTESS . READ IT - SHARE IT
This happened on TAM airlines.
A 50-something year old white woman arrived at her seat and saw that the passenger next to her was a black man.
Visibly furious, she called the air hostess.
"What's the problem, ma?" the hostess asked her
"Can't you see?" the lady said - "I was given a seat next to a black man. I can't seat here next to him. You have to change my seat"
- "Please, calm down, ma" - said the hostess
"Unfortunately, all the seats are occupied, but I'm still going to check if we have any."
The hostess left and returned some minutes later.
"Madam, as I told you, there isn't any empty seat in this class- economy class.
But I spoke to the captain and he confirmed that there isn't any empty seats in the economy class. We only have seats in the first class."
And before the woman said anything, the hostess continued
"Look, it is unusual for our company to allow a passenger from the economy class change to the first class.
However, given the circumstances, the commandant thinks that it would be a scandal to make a passenger travel sat next to an unpleasant person."
And turning to the black man, the hostess said:
"Which means, Sir, if you would be so nice to pack your handbag, we have reserved you a seat in the first class..."
And all the passengers nearby, who were shocked to see the scene started applauding, some standing on their feet."

Not for me. I'm not really much of a CD guy, but I keep all of my DVDs and Blu Rays organized alphabetically on my shelf, and put them back once I'm done using them. Great way to make sure nothing is ever misplaced. Just bought a new shelf for them, actually, since the old one was a bit too small.
As do I, but if you're type of person who uses a wallet/case to keep them in your car for easy access, they seem to disappear at will. Thank God for iPods and aux cables.

Step 2 burn music to mp3 player and blank disk
This keeps orignal cd perfect while the copy can go years of abuse and gets lost with no coneqenses.

Why waste time (and money buying the blank dics) burning new discs when I already have one? And why would I want to lose the original CD at all? If all I do is burn, burn, burn, I might as well just download the album via torrent.

Just noticed, their heads are quite dark. Are they a different breed or something? I haven't seen a GS with such a dark scalp.
They can come in all sorts of colours. You're probably just used to seeing the show standard black and tan.
-The feeling you get when you're cuddling with a pet or when they are sitting next to you on the couch and they rest their head on your lap.
-Eating a meal after a long fast
-Thick quilts covering you on a cold night

I used to have a German Shepard...or at least part German Shepard, and she had very light fur. We never knew what the father was. She was one of the most calm and peaceful dogs I've ever seen in my life. She was my first pet, and I will always remember her very fondly. Unfortunately, though, she had a lot of health problems (something had happened to her before my parents adopted her, and she was hit by a car as a puppy), and she had to to be put to sleep when I was in the second grade.
Now I have a stupid little Rat Terrier (I say stupid, but I absolutely love her :P ). She is the exact opposite; obnoxious and always barking (anyone who has played XBox with me has probably heard her), always running around and trying to play. She thinks she owns the whole street! :D

Waking up Friday.
Waking up is pretty sweet.
I find it to be a bit over-rated at the moment.
Since we're talking about waking up, I'll say sleeping in is pretty awesome too.

Bleh. I hate getting up late. 9:00 is usually my limit.
You don't work nights, lol. But on a Saturday at least I like to be up by 10 AM though it really depends on how well I sleep.
I did during the summer ;) But that was only until 10:00.

Too right. I've been seeing this sort of stuff in other threads, and until now I think it also needs to stop. I don't mod this board, but if I see more of this in any other board I do moderate then I'll have to do something.

Spawn: *Shakes head* She's seen the creature I've become... That's all she knows, her only memory of me. *Turns away* This is truly what hell is old man...
Old Man: You have a chance to-
Spawn: *Snaps Back* A chance! What chance! I have nothing here anymore! No escape not even death! *Grabs a sharp piece of wood from a broken crate and stabs himself repeatedly* You see! I can't even end it! *Still holding the stake in his chest* I would trade anything, do my life over again in the world's worst shit hole! *Pulls out the stake* Then to be here! Now! Like this! *Drops the stake*
Old Man: I know what your going through... *Picks up the stake covered in necroplasm* The pain, that your feeling...
Spawn: How could you possibly know old man?
Old Man: Because I have endured it! And survived! Do you think your fate is sealed? Are you going to accept the shroud that's been placed around you?
Spawn: I can't go on like this anymore, hiding in the shadows. I'm sick of it! I have to let her know... Who I am...
Old Man: How can you tell her that... When you don't even know yourself...
*Spawn disappears into the shadow of the rooftops and the Old Man sighs before steps back into the darkness*

I've forgotten how much I love toy stores. Spurred by the news of the newly released Jurassic Park toys for the 3D release next month, I've discovered that vintage Power Rangers are also being re-released exclusively to Toys R Us. I was just at one of their stores and bought a Legacy Power Morpher, for those of you that remember it 8)

I never understood why everyone is like "Emma Watson is super f**kin' hot lol."Like yeah, she's real pretty but not like super f**king gorgeous, "hot" isn't a word I'd use. Attractive sure but like more in a homely way? Maybe?
But no, she does pull off the short hair pretty well. There are a bunch of women who do :o My friend in the real life for example, looks loads better in short hair then she does with long hair. It has a lot to do with the facial structure and shit.

Yes, and it is fantastic. However, I can't agree that it's the best, IMO that has to go to the previously mentioned beef and vege soup. It has this amazing flavour, which is greater than the sum of it's parts.
The recipe:
- 2 beef shin cuts (bone in) - very cheap meat, with marrow for additional nutritional value.
- 2-3 potatoes
- 1 sweet potato/kumara
- 1 swede
- 2-3 celery sticks, and a few celery leaves
- 6-8 brussel sprouts
- 2 carrots
- 1/2 a leek
Method:
Quarter the brussel sprouts. Slice carrots, celery and leek. Dice the other vegetables. Put it all into the biggest stock-pot you can find, and cover with as much water as you can without risking a boil-over. Cover and bring to the boil.
While waiting for the pot to boil, remove the skin and fat from the beef shins, but leave all the sinew and the bone in the cut. (The sinew has things in it that are great for your own joints and ligaments, and the marrow in the bone is also very good for you. Both of these will render down to nothing during the cooking process.)
Add the meat to the boiling put. Just chuck them in whole. Return to boil, transfer to a smaller element if possible, and reduce to simmer while covered.
Walk away and do something else. The pot should only need stirring once or twice an hour.
Let it do its thing for three hours. At this point, the meat should be falling apart, and you can remove the bones from the pot.
Mash it with a potato masher.
Cook it for another hour or two, still on low. It should be thick and chunky now, with a cloudy broth. Serve with salt and pepper to taste.
Note: make room in your freezer. This recipe makes about 10-20 servings, depending on the amount of liquid.
Another note: Once it's cooled down, it smells bad. It hasn't gone off though, and when re-boiled for half an hour actually tastes even better than fresh.

Correct. 3-4 pounds of food to digest, plus the calories from the beer I drink.
I have to admit, I do that sort of thing much more often than I should. More out of guilt than common sense, I try to make sure that the next day I either: pick up some groceries and carry them up the (massive) hill I live on, play a casual game of soccer with "the lads", or do an actual workout. It's still given me a puku I find hard to shake, though.
The dangers of being a decent cook!
*edit*
For those of you who don't speak Te Reo (IE; everyone on this forum), "puku" means belly, gut or stomach.
I bicycle a couple miles a day. When I walk twice a week, I have a 6 mile mapout I use. Yet when i have my daily meal lately it's been making me gain weight. It's all going to the waistline too. If I cut beer out it'd help I know, but I cant quit the beer.
I really think that beer is my problem too.
I got into some bad drinking habits a while back, when I was the solo care-giver for a relative who had a stroke, and still tend towards over indulging when I'm being creative (which is to say, frequently).

McCallum AB10's. Beautiful aren't they. I've met one person who had a set. They cost around $10,000 and more if you add customizations. The only flaw is the hole in the top of the drone cap's. They are really sharp and when you stick your finger in to turn off/on the drone you run the danger of getting a painful slice in your finger. AB4's and below don't really have that problem.
(https://www.avpgalaxy.net/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fhighland-pipemaker.com%2Fimages%2Fsilver%2520victorian%2520caps.jpg&hash=7537dc7ff230ea305137896744597b5ddadf5947)
Notice the edge of the hole? Those things are sharp on a new set. You'd think they'd smooth them out for you, but that might affect the sound coming out of the drone. Over time though I'm sure they smooth themselves out. All I know is that when I was helping that piper tune his drones I was super careful about how I stuck my finger in that thing

Yeah Paranormal Activity and its sequels weren't good at horror or scaring. Never jumped once while watching them.
I really enjoyed 1 and 3. They were the best in the series.
I only saw part 1 and freaking struggled to stay awake.
Haven't seen Insidious.
Insidious was alright...lost me a bit by the end, though. I liked Sinister and The Conjuring well enough, and am not very fond of the Paranormal Activity stuff at all.
Sinister and Insidious were quite good, save for their final acts. I preferred it when they revealed less.
I thought the first 3 Paranormal Activity movies were well done and effectively frightening. Even critics liked them.
Sinister was just flat out boring.
Don't want to interrupt the horror movie convo...
but I sort of will anyway  just to tell everyone how much I deeply, deeply love Fantastic Mr. Fox. You know who else loves it? My 3.3 year old daughter. ;D She watches it about everyday, that or Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the incredible 70's one, not the wanker Depp remake.)
I'm a Wes Anderson fan anyway, but Mr. Fox is such an enjoyable film. So many hilarious moments, and that sort of charming character that Anderson manages to nail with his films almost every time.
If you've never seen it, I highly recommend. Such a great film, and fun for the whole family durr.
That Monster Hunter is coming to PS3 and it's an MMORPG! Thank you god! ;D

Startling someone and making them jump is not the same as actually scaring them.
Thinking it is, is why we get so many lame horror movies.

My friend I met in high school who was known to be very much of a food critic wanted me to try new things. My tastes are that of a child, very plain very simple. I was always very picky of things I ate and almost unwilling to try new things. But thanks to him as I got older I am more willing to try new things. Though he does say my ideal sandwich is still very plain in nature. Its the only thing I will eat sandwich wise (not counting PBJ and Grilled cheese)
Italian Bread
Turkey Breast
American Cheese
Lettus
Mayo

I'd give you that. Perhaps I badly worded what I was trying to get across. The story was alright but the build up to a scare or jump felt rather timed to me. Knowing whats gonna happen when It's your first time seeing it usually makes me not want to see it again.

I admit to PA giving me nightmares after I saw it the first time. I bought into the hype, so yeah :P
The funniest experience I have with those films though this didn't happen to me personally, was seeing the fourth film in theatres and right at the end, when the girl finds her brother only to turn around and be confronted with the hundreds of witches, some girl in the audience began screaming like there was no tomorrow. I mean, full-on screaming and shrieking. It was something.
I love taking out my personal frustration on innocent bystanders on Facebook. Specifically I just spent nearly an hour verbally attacking a member of a political party (who I actually agree with on their core platform) about how their advertising is simply overt propaganda that just pisses people off and loses their joke of a party more precious, precious votes than it gets them.
Then I wrote a three paragraph rant about an agglomeration site a friend of mine had linked to, bitching about how they're run by scumbags who want to make money off of other peoples' creativity, and pointed out the irony that a huge number of pages on that site are directly offensive to said friend, and she should think before she gives money to people who hate her in future.
I'm in a mean mood.
lol, holy shit.
Making my friends sit through TV shows that they aren't fond of. Like this one time I made my best friend sit through every season of Titus (2000-2002) I owned back in 7th grade. After it was over, I swear that poor girl was going to strangle me.

Which is part of the reason I gave it up. If I wanted it to taste good, I had to add a considerable amount of sugar to it and that's extremely unhealthy.

Sometimes, but its really hard not to be a vulture when there is a store closing down and everything is on super sale.
Tell me about it. When Zellers (a major department store chain here in Canada) was closing down in light of their acquisition by Target, I went through their video game section and bought Halo: Reach LE for $75, marked down from $150.
