Sega has just released a brand new trailer for the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator game. This time it showcases the Marines aspect of the game. You can view the trailer below or in HD on YouTube. It looks very impressive. They’ve nailed the atmosphere perfectly and the graphics is equally as stunning.

Liquid has got this right. The aliens are just percieved to be cattle. Easily hardeld by both species. Plus predators are like gods in this gmae as well. I thing that both the predator and the human should not have the counter ability. If anything the alien should have it but it doesnt. If I play this game its a fact that i will not be playin alien. Its so sad because its the only campain that I want to play. :(

@Liquid: you sure you can kick an alien off? sorta looked like it was plucked by the pred, then the pred grabbed you as the marine

Cattle? Natas, did you miss the section where the entire Marine squad, except one (the player) were wiped out by aliens creeping in from the darkness, and jumping through air ducts? If I remember correctly, in Aliens there were massive amounts of Alien fatalities, but that didnt stop them being a formidable enemy. Reserve any judgement till all the facts are known. Remember, this comes out in 2010!!

No, the marine clearly kicked him away. I don't know why im even an Alien fan anymore. If all im going to keep getting is weak pathetic bugs that dangle at the end of a predator's hand and get kicked away by mere humans than why should I be a fan of these pathetic losers? The real Aliens we knew and love are truely dead.

aliens most likely have counters... when u saw predator playing against a predator u didnt see marines countering... and they most likely didnt start the aliens gameplay and when they do im sure they have countering... and if they dont... there is something aliens have that will be useful...

What the hell are you talking about Jigsaw you can clearly see all the other marines getting owned by the aliens anyways cant wait for some alien footage. I used to owned predators and marines in AvP2 with alien drone.

Okay. Well, I can say that this is truely everything that I have asked for so far. This game is going to be what I expected. I have such a straight face right now. I'm just... I'm just shocked. It's as if Rebellion got into my head, saw my dreams, and they put it all into the game. I'm completely impressed, and I give a standing ovation to Rebellion, and an early "thank you, your game is amazing!".

I'm holding off judgement on the Xenomorph gameplay until they actually release a trailer for it. I'm still most excited to play as the Aliens. I thought that the tail movement while they were crawling along the ceiling was awesome, and they're looking really fluid.  As far as the Xenomorphs kickins ass, the jumping through the vent and taking down the Marine was pretty awesome, as well as the tail sweeping in and impaling the Marine's chest.  I regards to the Marine kicking it off, it looks like there's some sort of grapple system that they're implementing, that could be pretty cool. Especially since being kicked off, just leaves the Xenomorph free to attack, whereas the Marine loosing means that he gets to die by having the front of his face torn open. I don't really see how that's unfair, or at all in the Marine's favor.   X   8)  

Aliens killing marines is a given but a marine kicking an alien and sending it flying back is bullshit.

I hope they include the Elephant noise effect the Aliens make when they die like in the Aliens movie and in past games.   ???     ???

The sound of the pulse rifle seems to be off key(sounds shitty), doees not sound like the pulse rifle from the aliens movie at all.  Also, a human kicking an alien off seems to be unrealistic since the alien has teh advantage of pounce situations.  I could seea pred kicking an alien off though but not human.  Also where is the combat sythetic and teh ape suit that protects you from face hugers.  Do players get to use the apc yet when marine and exo suits?  And why are Weyland yutani corporates not included in this game, now there can not be human versus human war or 4 species war.   I know the graphics will be great, I am worried about some of the game play improvement experience though so far.

Chill out folks, I doubt that the scene when the alien was over the marine was actual gameplay, no aiming sight or nothing. It was just a fancy lead up to having the predator involved in the trailer. Why hasn't anyone brought up the point that that predator is about to get owned by the aliens after killing one marine.... haha, stupid pred.

well pulserifle gun-fire and the gunfire from the sentury guns are not the same sound like in the movies i cant understand why the cant take this classic sound and copy it 1 : 1 from the movie

Guys dont forget it is most likly campain footage so the aliens will be weaker yust like in the pred campain. In the alien campain you should be able to kick arse till the cows come home. I hope they dont mess up the multiplayer balance though.(Aliens rule!!!!!!)

this looks amazing. i really cant wait.. if anybody plans on playing this game on xbox 360 multiplayer. i want to make a predator only clan. if anybody is interested in it add my ganertag BUSTASHOT xATWx it will be predator only no aliens no marines. i was a former member of the old clan [DS] in the AvP2 game on the pc. we were a good clan and i want it to be the same on the xbox. thanks

Well f**k Me...That Has Quite Honesltly Put All My Faith Back Into AvP3 and Aliens Colonial Marines...  This Game Will Be EPIC! Marines All The Way.  Graphics are absolutely Stunning    8)  

Great trailer, this game looks like it could really become something special. I sure hope they get the Aliens rights, they've always been my fav species to play as.

Awesome - was loving it until a Predator showed up. But I guess this IS Aliens vs Predator, and not A:CM. Still, when I buy this game, I'm not ever going to play Pred or Alien. I only care about being a marine. So this game will just be a nice way to hold me over until A:CM comes out.

ok one thing I noticed thats strange, is when the pred is about to grab the marine he appears to be looking at the marine at eye level, thats either a short pred or your a 7 foot marine

I retract my earlier comment. The human DOES kick that Alien off. That's a bit ridiculous.

The Predator had to have kicked the Alien (don't know why it didn't retaliate, though   ::)  ) 'cause it would be extremely f***ed up if the Marine did it. lol Also, anyone else notice how slow the Aliens were moving?  It's obvious the Aliens are being portrayed in the oh-so-typical cannon fodder manner the AVP media is infamous for, and remembering Rebellion's 1999 PC game doesn't ease concerns in the slightest, to put it mildly. Which is so upsetting because of what they're capable of and how they've been portrayed in the Alien films contrasts pretty much most AVP media. I mean, come on! The tag line for this is "Hunter. Survivor. Prey. Which will you be?" Referencing the Alien as mere prey gives insight as to how Rebellion sees the Alien. And that pisses me off. This is the ALIEN for crying out loud.   >:(   Why not say "Hunter. Soldier. Monster. Which will you be?"?  I have my hopes for this game, but I don't trust Rebellion. Regardless, I reserve my final opinion until I get to play it. *sigh* ...I really wish Monolith was heading this up.   :'(  

The different sfx and weapon, armor models for the Marines are a bit jarring. Why didn't they use the stuff directly from Aliens?

I think I lost count of how many orgasms I got while watching this trailer...  I am just starting to play AVP2 and cant get my god dman new joystcik to work.  Can anyone give me advise how I can put the set ups so that my d-pad can be also used?? I am trully sad, I had to wait years to get a good comp and stick and the game, got em all last week and Im stuck...had to make the marine cmapaign using the damn mouse and keypad!!!

That 'prey' thing isn't in regard to any specific species. It's about roles.

dont, think the aliens will be wussies, they wil  probably co-ordinate attacks from the front,side and rear, i just don't think we've seen it yet   :)

@ Xenomorphine: I don't know. I thought about that, but it's too nebulous.   :-\    The Pred is obviously "the hunter", the Marine has been referred to as the survivor on several occasions, and the Alien's role as prey fits right in with how it's been portrayed in the past.

Xenomorphine is absolutely right.  A Hunter needs to survive the battle or he will end up being the prey. This fits for all races.

@Dragonblaster: Your right, but it just didn't seem like that was the context they meant it in. lol   ;)    Regardless, I'm quite anxious for this (took them long enough to do it, though). I just hope it remains faithful to the films it's based on.   :-\  

The marine defo kicked him off i think they are just trying to some but not all of the action you can expect wether the marine is able to see down the sights does not really matter when did they get the chance to do that in the films? Also if you read the latist copy of pc zone magazine it tells you that they have all got there own grapple techs at close quaters :) but it's not easy to pull off. this game is goint to set new standerds in pc gaming and will reinvent the hold aliens and preditor genre. It's just a shame we have to wait so long damm i mean i could bloodey die 2morow.   ;D

hmmm sow awesome i loved the aliens until i tried some predator action in avp2 and i pretty like the predators more but one thing is weird how did the marine kick the alien of him???thats pretty imposible,i liked the scene where the pred. grabed the marine(btw warchant the predator pulled up the marine sow they are at same height)and took his head(probably)damn release the marines,and then show the aliens!!!!and im really curios of new alien species   ;D

You guys need to stop bitching. For christ's sake, give Rebellion some god damn respect (and credit!). After all, they were the ones who started it all. The original is by far one of the best games ever made (in my opinion). Sure, they f**ked up AvP:R for the PSP, but this is a whole different ball park. Just be thankful that the original developers are working on it and not some second-rate alternative.   From what I can tell, this game is going to be a dream come true. I have no complaints, so far at least. The graphics are excellent (maybe not on par with Cryengine, but definitely equivalent to a well-made Unreal 3 game), the gameplay looks superb, and the atmosphere is dead-on.   I'm still in shock that their even making this at all. It appears my wet dreams have finally manifested themselves into reality!   2010 can't come soon enough. Its going to be a long wait.
