“THE FIRST BATTLE BEGINS…
Before Ripley, there was a first encounter. Someone on Earth knew about the aliens. Someone battled them, and survived. Aliens and humans have fought before.
When a human spaceship discovers a vast egg-shaped vessel in Saturn’s orbit, they zero in to investigate the anomaly. They force their way aboard, finding evidence of an advanced civilization of peaceful creatures, now eradicated by an unknown foe. Three teams split up to explore the ship. But already the aliens have awoken. The first of all battles unfold…”
The novel is slated for an October 2007 release. If you have any questions regarding the novel, you can post in our Ask the Author thread.

I'm really looking forward to this one. Sounds pretty interesting.
Yes! I can’t wait! I hope it’s as good as it sounds.
However negative Yautja fans are towards Forever Midnight, it was well written and I can't wait to read Steel Egg. I've now got myself a signed copy of the cover...with no novel. Where's the fun in that?! ;D Sorry about the poor quality scan guys. My scanner isn't the best. >:(
looks interesting
Why does the cover have this site's URL on the cover? Is it just a watermark to stop other sites stealing the imae or is it just a plug for readers of the novel to visit the site?
I was wondering the same thing myself Ermac. :) I don\'t think there was any need to watermark it. It\'s not a huge exclusive since we already saw what it was going to look like a while back..
It'll be funny if its advertising this site ???
I'd say that watermark is the real deal. Usually watermarks are either transparent or placed down in the corner as to not spoil the image itself, but this watermark looks too detailed. I'd say you've achieved something here, Darkness. They've finally recognized the brilliance of this site and shamelessly advertized your site on the cover of a novel. Way to go, dude.
No, I put the site name on there.
