I know its not exactly an accurate measure of how a movie will go at Box office, but its interesting.
How full was your session for Predators?
I went to a 9.15pm session opening day in Melbourne Australia, and my session was totally full.
Not bad for any movie to have that, around my area. Was also interesting to see the mix of people.
Lots of couples ( I think it was the old deal, Girl says you go to Twilight with me, and guy says fine but you have to see Predators with me!) and a pretty even age spread it seemed too.
i watched it in A UK cinema at 8pm and the cinema was around half full. The age group was mostly 18 to 40 and after the film you could sence that people liked it.
I think the cinemas in the uk will be mostly full over the weekend for predators.
I went to a 7pm showing uk, at first only 10 people or so then 10 minutes in atleast 30 more people turned up, ruined the start for me, this one obese woman sat directly behind me making stupid comments and laughing at parts that weren't even funny the whole time. I still really enjoyed it but will have to go see it again mid week to watch it when there is hardly anyone there.
saw it int Brisbane AU 4:00 last night 3/4 full alot of people by em selves. but the session before was sold out :)
Saw a 7pm showing here in the UK and there was a queue of at least 30ppl waiting to see it! :)
I am from Almaty, KZ. I went yesterday to 8.30 session, theater was full which was a bit unexpected by me as I never thought we have such a big audience for franchise. This is could be an example that movie is great and was expected by many people. And...I assume that income would be fine enough to make a sequel ;)))
Outside the cinema right now in colorado springs. 2 groups of campers and seems about 20ppl waiting along with me and my 2 friends. 2 hours away midnight
when i went it was full (although it was only a medium sized screen)
6:25 showing, Empire Cinema, UK.
About...85 - 90% full, i reckon.
Decent crowd too, people my age (15) to 40's / 50's, all sounded like they enjoyed it without being annoyingly loud.
7pm showing Sydney, Australia
3/4 full and not one female in the cinema.
All the people were in their late twenties, early thirties.
The cinema i went it was pretty Full
Well it seems its getting decent audiences around the place will be interesting to see what the box office is after the weekend.
Not completely sold out but pretty full.
Good sized crowd. Still good amount of seats left. I went to the same place for the premier of spider man 2 and paranormal activity. For both those movies, the place was stuffed with people sitting on the floor. Thought there would be a few more.
Pretty packed... Really packed.
Had a fat black kid clapping at every scene of the movie like a retard... Wanted to kick his head in.

I felt that way when I walked out of the first viewing. Except the dude I was facepalming at was talking to his friends about how the Predators were really called Yautja and all the superheroes they'd fought.

I like to use the term Yautja... since I grew up with them knowing them as that.
As for the superheroes... Yeah no..
But this fat black kid who kept on clapping his hands like a retarded toddler and was doing fangirl squeals (this was a guy somewhere in my age or younger), I just felt like really, really, really delivering a Tang Soo Do stomp to his head to get him to stop acting like a jackass.

I don't like to use it. I love all the EU. Love it immensily. But it's still just EU and they're Predators to me.
I also had this really young sounding kid with a camp voice behind me in the second viewing. I hate going to the cinema when it's busy.
Anyone who uses that word should get Nolanded.
mine was all full so that was pretty sweet and when fishburn showed up for the first time people claped and cheered :)
mine too! Entire theater cheered for Larry.
Just got back from a midnight showing and it was about 60% full.
Oh, and it was packed. There were seats, but it was pretty full. Huge theater too.
Mine was a big cinema, I went to the 7:30pm in Dublin, Ireland. The crowds where big, I'd say around 85% full.

you just invented a new proverb :D
Only about 5% full on opening day in Bristol UK at 5.20pm.
haha there was only 1 emty seat at the cinema i was at and that was next to me ^^
Midnight showing in Omaha, NE, 250 seats, sold out.
Rijeka, Croatia, 17:30 (5:30PM) maybe 10 ppl but advertising was pretty poor so i expect more ppl in following week
and it seemed all older then me and im 23, wich was good, no laughting, claping, cheering or any other crap
although cool name i hate using yautja too. for me yautja is comic predator and maybe avp predators (with over the top honor stuff) and THE predator is what we see in P1 P2 and now in P's (rutless , sadistic game hunters)
Hey guys, the first showing starts at 11:40 for me, if I want to get a good seat before(if) it gets full, at what time should I go? it's just that when I went to watch AVP-R...it was f**king full! and I thought I was there early!
i hope there will be a lot of people. i hope i get the theater with good sorround sound too!
It was just nearly 20% full in Germany yesterday. Maybe because it was too early for most people (5:30 PM.)
I went to midnight showing and the theatre was packed also had a person dressed as a predator and one other guy got a free bus shelter size predators poster lucky bastered.

It's funny you say that cuz we had the best theater you could want to see the movie in but the sound was like listen Thur 2.0. I think once I get the blu ray and with my hd sound 5.1 it will blow that theater sound system out the roof.
midnight showing long island, sold out
12:01 am screening in Toronto was sold-out.

I can confirm this (AMC right) :)
I went again today at 1:45 and it was still pretty busy considering the time. I'm going again tonight so we shall see.

I had a fat short Gothic kid behind me. Wouldn't shut up. At the end when Long Tall Sally started to play He asked why they had Michael Jackson playing in a predator movie. Ugh! It was a midnight showing in Utah and was about 95% full. People on the steps but just to avoid the dreaded front row. The other big theaters in the area weren't showing until noon on Friday so it might not have been as full had they shown it. People also cheered and laughed when Fishbourne showed up.
My theater wasn't too pact. There were some mid-life crises' down the row from me. Whenever the movie had a mildly amusing scene they would laugh. We're about to...
Spoiler
Watch the face-off between Bird-face and the Yakuza, their chair kept squeaking and they burst out laughing
Also,
Spoiler
Two annoying ass teenagers next to me wouldn't stop making jokes when Royce was facing off against the strange dude and the big black poacher
went to a midnight screening in dallas. place was completely full, some dudes were wearing camo, saw some other dudes with predator shirts. the energy was great and everyone seemed happy with the movie
only about 65 out of 100 chairs were filled :-\
are there actually any numbers from the box office yet?

I know how ya feel. However, I got the last laugh when they were kicked out of the theater :D
it was the 1st screening only have 5 or 6 people including me ??? It was bad ass though still
what you talking about midnight screening in toronto?
I even phoned in and they laughed!
wasnt big enough movie to get midnight treatment.
Just got back, At first it was 10% full but this was during the previews but when the movie was about to start it was like 95% full.
Mine was about 50% full, but then again I went early on a friday to see it, people were still in work.
I saw it at a regular theater in Phoenix Arizona and it was 70% full But I was surprised how many people were there
I went for a 1:45 showing and it was about 80% full. Pretty good for a day where people are still at work.
I saw it at 6:35, and when it started the theater was about half-full. It was early; I expected most of the people to watch it later in the evening.
the one i saw it in had plenty of empty seats, but it was 2.30pm on a friday afternoon
Midnight showing July 8th
There might have been 2 seats open. Really people were struggling to find seats.
I'm here right now in Austin, Texas and every single seat is full!
It was pretty fully. After the movie was over we had to wait in line to get out since their was so many people.
i'd say about 55%
better than AVP-R, which was about 2%
completly full exept maybe some in the first row.
75% full at the midnight showing I went to. Everyone was dead quite during the movie, except the funny parts and the predator show off scenes.

Just got back (second time ;)) from the 10:20 show. Cinema was full.
Saw a seven thirty showing, theater was packed, and the crowd seemed to love the movie a lot. They also cheered during the Machete trailer!
I saw the 12:05 on firday and it was 100% full
damn never knew aussies love predator but half of the cinema didn't know it was a sequel
I saw it at 7:40pm in Pickerington, Ohio. It was 85-90% full. Had to sit in the front row! :'(
I went to the midnight show and it was almost sold out, I had to sit in like the fifth row. I work at an AMC and the last two showings tonight had over 120+ people in them.
Twas full, had to sit next to an asian guy who asked if he could have my popcorn. Pissed me off. Although keep in mind the particular room the chose to show it only seated like 30 people.
A mainsteam cinema in Prague, Czech Republic. I went to a 10PM showing on the opening day and the cinema was a third full with mostly young people. Also, there was no Machete trailer, instead, it had a trailer for a Czech film, which is something I've never seen going to the movies before.
I saw it at 5pm today. It was about 75% full. It was a pretty big theater too.
It was showed in a small theater where i saw it, but it was about 90%+ full.
I caught one of the earlier matinees on Friday when most of the normies were at work, so my theater wasn't as full, but still I'd say that 15 patrons is a good number for that time of day. I'd like to see this movie do really well. I love the creature features.
I saw it at a midnight showing in a cinemark, me and my buddy were surprised at how packed the theater was when we got there, we barely found our seats
sounds like theres been a pretty enthusiastic reaction all around
It was 3/4 quarters full when i saw it in the afternoon Saturday here in Singapore.
Loved it. I am thinking of seeing it again next week.
Packed the two times i went ;D
Seems like the response is good so far. So how come its not beating Eclipse or Despicable Me this week? It's being released in fewer Theatres, is it?
Let's hope the International Gross is good as well.

I still have a feeling that the box office in the states wont be great. It will make respectable money this weekend then drop off big time next week (seems to be a trend with 'R' rated movies in the states). This film will do good business worldwide IMO though, certainly enough to ensure a sequel gets released some time over the next couple of years ;D
And thats the most important thing. That we get another Pred flick. I think we can all agree that this was a decent outing.
They've earned enough cred with us for the series to continue.
Predators was a decent sequel to Predator. It surpassed AvP: R, and I do think it had better coordination and direction than Paul Anderson's AvP. However, nothing will surpass Arnie & Predator.
Went to CinemaWorld at Canary warf. the cinema was about 70% full
