Title: *Video* Ask AVP's Rebellion 10 Questions! Interview
Post by: AngryJoeShow on Mar 08, 2010, 01:55:28 AM
Alright guys! Its been about a month so I thought it would be cool to do this now.

Time to get answers to all of our burning questions! I've scheduled an Interview with the Developers over at Rebellion and I wanted to give my AVP Galaxy Brothers a chance to come up with some questions of their own!

Final Judgment - Developer Interview with Your Q's!

http://angryjoeshow.com/?p=6634
(https://www.avpgalaxy.net/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fangryjoeshow.com%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2010%2F03%2FFinalJudge_02_TGWTG.jpg&hash=95f9da37651a788264767e84c07398ac31e6db05)

Ask Rebellion anything regarding their Aliens Vs Predator Franchise, and remember im looking for the best, most interesting and even sometimes funny questions! I'll select maybe about 10, throw in a few of my own and set it over to Rebellion HQ for Answering!

This is obviously more of an "afterwards" what you thought, what you hated, what's next, what when into the process kinda thing so form them appropriately.

What I have been wondering is: Will they make the next AVP game and if so, when do they plan on working on it or are they already working on it?

Thanks Joe! Anyway, mine are.. is there a patch incoming for the consoles? This is a question that's been on everyone's mind. If there is, is it possible we can get an ETA? If not a coming soon or even an "Eventually" would be nice. Second, are they read to talk about balance or possible gameplay changes or upcoming dlc? These are the biggest ones that circulate the forums.

Any chance we'll be seeing maps based on locations from the movies released as DLC? Likewise any chance we'll see skins based on the creatures in the earlier films (I.e the Giger Alien and the Predators from P1 and P2).

In the next patch could more control schemes be made availiable to console players, specifically one that has one of the shoulder buttons or triggers in charge of the Aliens jump ability. Not unlike the 'Bumper Jumper' setting  from Halo 3.

YES! i have been trying to get an answer to this question in the [REB] TRIGGER thread, but they seem to be really busy now and have not been in there in a while.  So heres is my question....

Why can players not have any control over very basic multiplayer options, such as setting the number of player respawns in multiplayer matches (you could in their first game), as well as limiting weapons (also could in Reb's first game), or messing with the predator hunt's predator time. There was a whole chunk of community that really liked team death matches with only 1 life per person, and limiting these basic options that are so old really really seems like a step back. Changing some of these basic options allows players to customize the game to their own tastes, and offers alot of game variety with little effort!!!!

Sorry, its just that this has been making me much more upset than it should.

Yeah, definitely more customisation in player matches.

Then they could put a Pro playlist in Ranked that doesn't have the disc. :D

Or.. they can just fix the disc :P But I agree. Even fixed, it'd be cool to be able to decide what weapons are in or out.

As I read some of these here and at other places im beginning to wonder how to "structure" this, there are certain questions that arent really questions that can be answered per say - but things that need to be brought to their attention in a kinda (these are what we want for the sequel kinda way).

I know this is probably a low priority curiosity, but still feel we deserve an answer:

Where is the soundtrack for this game?!

Seriously though, I really enjoyed most of the music in this game, and there were no tracks that I disliked. Plus, the credits music was quite beautiful. I was wondering if Rebellion or Sega had any plans for releasing the soundtrack on CD or iTunes or Amazon or anything? I'd love a copy to just listen to, as I do with AvP99's, and AvP-R's (hey! Bryan Tyler's score was good!).

Oh, nothing really specific. I just mean any incoming patches to the consoles. Like, recently they patched the pc but so far we've had none for the consoles. An ETA or even a "coming soon" would be real nice. :P

Thanks for the direct response Angry Joe, i really hope to get an answer from this about the lack of control over basic mulitplayer options (limited respawns!!!). Also this is unrelated, but i thought you STO video was bang on, and a really fun and creative way to present your criticisms. It must have been a lot of work, but keep it up because its nice to see a real sci-fi fan squeaking the wheel about these games flaws.

1. Will they fix some of the VERY needed balancing issues with Multiplayer?
-Adding KD to Preds.
-Stronger Xeno Heavy Attack.
-Smart Disc is overpowered, tone it down.

2. Will Rebellion be showing anything about AvP3 DLC wise at E3.

3. Any plans for new multiplayer modes
-Evac Mode
-More objective based modes.
-Etc

How much content and extras do you plan on adding to this game over the years its out? Even a nebulous response would do such as "we'd like to add so and so as time goes on". Games such as RE5 and many others are still getting new things add almost every couple months its seems.

Oh, and why wasn't something as simplistic (in idea) as a mute button added? You know, I loved listening to 14 year olds sputtering off f-bomb tantrums as the next guy  ::), but I'd like a little respite from it everyone once in awhile.

-Will the conceptart will be released in the end? (AvP2 did a few years back, well, some of it, but it was just cool to see what thought went into the designs)

-Will there be more support for this game, even now fans say it's already on it's hind legs?
-Does Rebellion feel this is the best they have to offer or did the game suffer from lack of time/budget/experience?
-While admirable, why does Rebellion cling to the engine for dear life while other engines would do the trick just fine too?
-Who had more influence on the game in terms of gameplay/design/story, Rebellion, SEGA or Fox?

-If they were to develop a new incarnation, what would they change, do better or delve deeper into?
-This is more a suggestion than a question: why not have a seperate team working on MP components, much like Grey Matter did for RTCW: ET, which is even now one of the best examples of a split development of SP and MP, and oddly enough the new approach on the new Medal of Honour title (DICE taking over the MP in even another engine than the SP component)?

In your own opinions, which new gameplay elements turned out well? Which ones didn't live up to your expectations, and what ideas would you like to play with in future installments?

What was the reasoning behind the dominance of the brighter, outdoor maps?

There are a lot of cool features in SP that aren't in MP, such as the use of ventilation shafts, doors broken and working, power grids that can be sabotaged and sentry turrets. While they aren't in MP due to legitimate balance reasons, might those features have a place in future installments?

Life Cycle mode for the aliens?

And how about a last stand mode for the predators? I mean come on, imagine it. 4 predators, the top of pyramid, infinite plasma caster ammo and a butt load of aliens heading up from all sides. Just like in the movie. SWEET!

Any enhanced modes with any of the other currently npc characters? I'd love to get behind the wheel of the Queen!

The rest of my questions are rather standard. DLC? Maps? Skins?

Thanks!

Ok question one when will the extra multiplayer maps come out?
question two is actually a two parter which I'm sure you get lots of questions regarding, but i have waited and thought id see if i could get a more up to date response, will you be increasing the flamethrower damage? as it just doesn't handle right, even the alternative fire cant be used to do as specified in the manual as the flames don't do damage or deter enemies and it dies down too quick, also will it show up on predators vision as a heat source for a more realistic appearance?
question 3 will there be new skins with attributes e.g for the alien or even an acid spit that takes time to charge (it could blind if not do damage) would be nice, the alien is so easily beat down when up-close and picked off with targeting weapons from a distance (the alien spit is the only attribute i could really wish to see)
question 4 unbalanced team games will this be addressed, an uptake on this would be nice to set up how many species you can set on each side e.g. 2 predators 3 aliens and 4 marines, might help stop games where you in a room and watch people join and switch to predators so you end up with 10 predators in a game.
thanks for listening hope some or all questions will get an answer in the end

Will we ever get a Newborn skin?

The thought of chomping heads as Resurrection's giant killer omelette brings a smile to my face.

Serious Question - Why didn't they record any more audio samples for the marines? Did they not consider that the constant repetition of "Don't relax just yet, marines!" might get a little (read: very) annoying?

i second the question about concept art.

Oh, and why the odd choice of not being able to turn off some hud elements?
Idk if it's just me, but while playing as a marine I think I'd be more immersed if I only had the motion tracker on-screen and had to read how much ammo I have left from the counter on the gun. alot of it is unnecessary hand-holding

My most pressing question is why something as common as a split-screen, offline multiplayer was not included in the game. Not everyone has a reliable internet connection (if at all). An offline vs. mode is what has made so many games as popular as they are. I have seen people decide to rent the game instead of buying it -simply because of the lack of this replayability inspiring feature.
-Why was this feature not added to the game?
-and is it being considered in the future, for the sequel?

Thank you.

First off Joe, big fan of your work. Sorry that your battle with Spoontock ended in a stalemate.

Also... thanks to spooning with spoony, I can't look you in the eye anymore....even on your videos.

Here are a few questions I have for Rebellion though.
First Question: Most important question would be, Since there are several glitches, problems, balancing issues with this game at release, is there a team working on a patch for the game. If so, when could this patch be expected?

Second question: Is it now cannon to believe aliens prefer the techno music found at the club? I always thought of them more the death metal type.

Third Question: Why in the single  player do aliens have attacks and heavy attacks that are not seen in the multiplayer? For example, the heavy attacks aliens use, which is more or less them lunging forward to bite at you. (looks more like a head butt. Which suggests they like to mosh, which again leads me to believe they're into death metal)

Fourth Question: Ambient Sounds are a big thing you hear on maps. From a preds 'clicking' to the elephantine screams of an alien... yet nothing really for marines but gunfire.... would it possible to add possibly a sad whimper or sobbing? Maybe someone suggesting it's game over... and at this point you should see where I'm going with this.

Fifth Question: Seeing that AvP was such a success, are you going to spend much time on working on this game, as far as DLC, additional game modes, added features, etc or, are most of your focus going to be laying on a new game? I'm curious because at this time I don't find this game a 'success' in anything but sales. Don't get me wrong, awesome game, tearing off heads is fun... but there is still so much it's lacking and with so many bugs and problems with the game... I wouldn't honestly be too excited about a sequel to this game until it has been fixed up and given some more support. If this game reflects what the sequel would be like, I am not interested at this time.

Sorry for the long list of questions. Just felt I should throw a bunch of ideas and goofy-ness out there.

Thanks for this Joe, you're my favourite version of Superman!

Hey Angry Joe,

Liked your unique style doing the review on AvP. At least it's very different from many other reviews. And that's meant as a good thing. :P

Questions to rebellion:

- Do they have a lot of oncoming features through patches for AvP yet to come like Full dedicated server and AI marines for Survivor and will those be possible to add in MP also (PC) ?

- Will they have Mission Packs for DLC later on to compensate for short SP campaigns?

- Could Predator have a Survivor type mode added like the Arena in the SP to hunt along with other Predators?

- What are their opinions about the impact of the game after release, are they surprised at the result or was it expected?

- Are they playing the game themselves and how often?

- Where are all the empty eggs of the facehuggers in hunter edition???

- Are Nvidia working on solving the issues with the drivers and AvP (9800gtx+ etc) ?

- What surprised them most in the feedback so far?

- Which detail in the game are they especially satisfied with?

- How long can we expect it to take for another AvP game to be released from rebellion?

- Survivor, hunter or prey.. Which are THEY? :P

Hi Joe,

Nice video, definitely keeps you entertained  :P  My main question I wouldn't mind seeing put to Rebellion is:

Why was the game released with such buggy netcode and with no dedicated servers and what do they plan to do about it?

Yes I know they have "beta" dedicated servers out now, but it is long after the fact and they are very buggy still, finding a good low ping server that also doesn't crash on you is still a rarity. And dedicated servers have no relevance on the ranked MP game issues at the moment.

As sure as the sun rises, Rebellion are loosing customers and fans every day simply because when people buy a game, they expect it to work reasonably well off the mark and not still be having simple issues like finding a decent low ping game (or finding one at all) 2-3 weeks after it's been released...the game was severely hyped up and had people on edge waiting for the game to come out only having to put up with this HUGE issue. It's simply not on and I see both Rebellion's image and the amount of people playing going down every day.

Rebellion said it many times themselves in interviews and narrative gameplay videos, that MP is a big part of the AVP experience, it's all a lot of people play it for...well they've certainty shot themselves in the foot in this case, what course of action are they taking to fix it (if at all  :-\)??

Cheers!

Valheru

Vague I know, but there's at least some wiggle room in the question.

Angry Joe the big questions all of us want to know are:

1) When will we get a patch/fix for multiplayer and matchmaking?
2) What future DLC (skins, maps etc) is coming and when?
3) Any news on a AVP sequel?
4) Whether the mod tools will ever be released to the community?

thanks.

Why is there no predator equivalent of survivor mode?

And why did the game ship with just two survivor maps, one of which is basically a largish room?

Are they satisfied with the execution of survivor mode? It seems a little light on ideas, are they planning to expand it all?

Hey AngryJoe, my question to Rebellion is, if they do make a sequel, will they spend the time to reconstruct their in house engine to make sure this sequel is the grand daddy of them all? Thanks Joe

Is there any plans to include new weapons and equipment, Marine stealth kills, Movie character skins, and a new hosting system in future patches?

Also Is there are any plans for a pred survivor mode, or at least LARGER maps that can accommodate MORE players, with more diverse landscapes?

Off the the record I personally think they should scrap a sequel for a LONG time and just build off of this game, even from a financial standpoint rebellion and sega can make alot of money through LOT'S of DLC.

Very excited for this Joe! Here's what I'm dying to know:

1) Character skins for MP. There's so many more that are already in the single player campaign. Why not any female marines or the Battle Synthetics? Why no Brown/Runner Alien? I'm dying to know Joe. I BEG YOU, ASK THIS QUESTION.

2) Obviously, console patches.

3) Matchmaking issues.

4) Why, oh why are The Flares are absent in MP. Don't give me this 'oh it's for the mood' nonsense either. (Not you Joe) It would made MP  much more enjoyable in certain levels. Shut the f**k up nay sayers, it would.

Thank you in advance Joe. Fight the good fight!

Why were the same 6 or so maps re-used for all 3 campaigns and the multi-player levels?

Will the control scheme ever be optimised for a mouse and keyboard?

What is rebellion's justification behind removing the crouch feature?

Will all future DLC be priced in a similar fashion to the Swarm map pack?

How do Rebellion feel about the melee mechanic being utterly broken?

The crouch question has already been adressed multiple times and I dont see how the melee system is broken.  Perhaps you just dont know how it works? just because you cant understand something does not make it broken.

Now that we've all played the game it's clear how the crouching would have been useful and a lot, but w/e. And the melee needs fixing and balancing, yes.

Works for me as I get plenty of kills with it.  If it has some issues then please ask Rebellion about them, but just calling it utterly broken is unfair and does'nt really solve anything in your favor I think.

Yeah it could use some tweaks, The Predator should be able to be knocked down at a full range pounce, but as for being completly broken perhaps you could explain?

o.k. Angry Joe, here are my Questions:

1) Tell us what that first Brainstorming session was like after getting the go ahead to make your 3rd AvP game. What Ideas didn't make it to the final game that you wish you could have created?

2) There was a rumor of a Judge Dredd Mod for the Aliens vs. Predator (1999) P.C. game that was going to be made by Rebellion, was the rumor true at any time?

3) When will we see a new Judge Dredd game?

Also, Angry Joe, a word of advice... If your interview with Rebellion is all negative with all the nitpicking questions everyone is having about the game, the interview will probably be your last with them. 8)

Even though FOX considers AVP a separate franchise, the AVP canon still incorporates everything from the Alien and Predator universes.  I doubt they will do movie based maps, but we could see some maps that are homages to locations from the films, and perhaps some more accurate AVP/AVP-R movie based maps.

I'm referring to the fact that if 2 good players face off in melee then the rock, paper, scissors mechanic no longer functions effectively because "pump faking" makes light attacks a death sentence.  Also because of stun locks, the melee is almost completely decided by whoever lands the first heavy attack.

Fake pump is just another move. Predators can just SC the person to stun them, Aliens can wall leap. It's also dependent on connection as to how the fake pump is used. If the host is shit it's not a reactionary move.

Alright, got some really great ones to choose from, gonna grab about a few more from here and send it all in by Friday. Expect a reply a week or so later, (Due to GDC they are unavailable for a sit down). GDC might slow their response time - but since its email it shouldnt be too bad.

I've made it clear to them that the series is designed to be posted around a month (plus or minus a week) after release.

Gotta touch on upcoming DLC, Matchmaking issues, Balancing, and certain design choices yall are questioning. Also the dedicated servers and lan stuff for the PC guys.

Still looking for maybe one or two more funny questions that can help break the ice and set the laid back tone or end on a joke.

Like Brolien's "Can we have more holographic strippers in the sequel?"  LoL.

I'd like to know if were going to have to pay for future DLC that is already in the game. The Hunter edition comes with the four new maps unlocked,  but I don't think I would pay $6+ for them. There are tons of skins in the game, and other areas that could be turned into potential maps (like all the ones we have) but I'd be pretty peeved if I had to shell out $5 for a few skins that are already in the gamecode. Female marines, the androids, the runner aliens, etc are all in the game. They should be useable now, but if they cost money to use, then it'll feel like a ripoff.

Hi Joe, good to see that someone is actually getting in touch with the devs, spreading the word of the people (us, forum dudes) :P
Loved your review, but enough sucking up :P my questions are:

1. I wonder if they'll make dedicated servers for ranked matches, cause P2P matchmaking is f*cking anoying.
Spend three hours time to find a server that is either lagg free and no hosts disconnecting before match end.

2. Will there be put an effort in putting in more variational content like
    -New weapons e.g: netgun
    -New maps
-New controls e.g: crouch and ironsight

3. Will there be made a physical difference in terms of gameplay in the different skins besides appearance? I mean like if the praetorian will actually move slower than the rest, have more HP and damage dealing, but can't wallclimb,.... and the runner will be made faster, but lower damage and HP?

4. What will be done/what do they think that can be changed in terms of species balance? Like a disc nerf and chance on a knock down for the pred, or some kind of ranged attack for the aliens like acid spit like the jungle aliens can?

Fair enough, then under that premise.

1: What are you going to do about the Disc spam? Coupled with the absurd assortment of stun advantages Predator gets, it has made a complete mockery of your melee system.

2: Are you going to decrease the speed of Predator heavy attack or increase the speed of the Aliens? It makes literally no sense whatsoever for a class (aliens) to be solely melee specific but come up short Vs a Predator.

3: Are you going to make the Aliens pounce be able to knock down like a Predators? Predators are pretty much immune to these things and its a terrible idea.

4: Stealth kills, will you fix the activation on them? As much as I love SKing someone in mid jump - while they're 30 foot in the air - it seems ridiculous.

5: Why didn't you add pseudo-character classes like Predalien and runner? Giving different stats and the ilk? It would have added depth to all three species.

6: Why is the Alien vision so much poorer in this version? The glow effect is dull and basically non-existent for Predators and humans in the sunlight. Predators can see an Alien from clear across the map while a Predator is all but invisible until relatively close.

7: Will you add more modes? Perhaps some kind of proper co-op mode?

These questions come from a Predator user and not an Alien user. But as it everyone and their mom runs to the class now because its undeniably OP. There is nothing special about the class any longer because it has so many advantages - you don't even need opposable thumbs to use the class.

No they aren't...he is talking about when you click or hold on a button and the gun moves into the middle of your screen and zooms your vision in so you are looking down the iron sights which gives you better accuracy at the cost of vision of your immediate surroundings.

The only weapon so far with secondary sights is the sniper rifle if that is what you are referring to and is not an iron sight but a scope.

Hello Joe your vidoes are the shitnitz keep up the good word.

1) Probably been asked a brazillion times but where are them mod tools? They help a game sustain their life span and keep the community happy so are there any possibilities that they will come out?

2) Helmets for the marines: To complete the authentic movie experience, the marines need the helmet to look like total badasses in multiplayer. Its not there and they look more bold and middle age then state of the art badassery. It may be useless against an alien's tongue or a predator's plasma caster but can we get them for awesomeness sake?

3) Can we haz kittens and homage lines from the movies in the sequel? They comin outta the god damn walls. GET to teh CHOPPAH, LETS ROCK. YOU SECURE THAT SH1T HUDSON, if it bleeds we can kill it etc may be overused but they never gets old.

4) Will balancing issues be addressed eventually with the use of patch? If that is the case what are those?

5) Why do aliens get knock about like some kinda weak ass stray animals :S. Whereas balance is needed the knock down totally screwed alien's potency in hand to hand combat against even a marine with a sniper rifle once they figure out the block then pistol whip function. Predator on the other hand have a much easier time by simply jumping you then  hack you up with their wrist blade. Last i heard from an alien, it can rip through steel reinforced walls, pull itself back into hatch in the vaccum of space when being simultaneously bursted out and jump right outta 10 tonnes of molten lead. Portraying them as scrawny little things that hide in the dark is not gonna please people? So whys that?

6) Where are my blue and green bubbles for alien vision?

You know, the one where people on the forum got to ask questions. Crazyjoe or whatever it was called. Thanks everyone.

Keeping you in the loop of all happenings. Ive always enjoyed a high level of transparency so I want to do the same for you guys:

Posted by a guy from the Steam forums:
Sega have pretty strict publishing T&C when it comes to devs answering questions.. From what I understand they basically get to veto the questions before they even get to the developer. QED totally pointless exercise which will turn into nothing more than another Sega marketing opportunity.

My Reply:
Do you work in the Industry?

Because a few weeks back unexpectedly my interview was halted and directed towards sega when I was making good progress to a private interview - now the q's are being submitted to sega first then to Tom - they are also now wanting all the questions in written form, rather than a back and forth setup. (it may just be formality but the fact remains)

We will see how butchered they are by the time they come back. I did my best to setup a relaxed atmosphere - that will likely be odd & unprofessional sounding if they are to just read through them.

They've already commented that Tom will be unable to share his opinion on Aliens: Colonial Marines (it was a throw away mention embedded within another question)

The question that wont get answered:
"Some people ask why there wasn't a co-operative campaign mode? Was it because you didn't want to step on the toes of Gearbox's upcoming Aliens Colonial Marines? And are you as excited as we are about that title?"

Anyway, Im not going to pass judgment until we see a final result. but know Im not going to go down easy if i get back my document with red marker all over it.

Good job. It's understandable and a good thing that these guys stay quiet and don't give opinions about A:CM.

Any word on when can we expect the final stuff?

Still is kinda strange that SEGA would care about that, they did not seem to have a problem with Gearbox saying they were anticipating AVP, timing maybe?

QuoteSome people ask why there wasn't a co-operative campaign mode?

Both previous AVP titles were about facing overwhelming odds on your own.  I think they just stuck with tradition.

Anticipating, yes. Randy said they were excited to see what Rebellion will deliver, and there was a review on some gaming site talking about "healthy rivalry" but that was that. But not creating a certain game mode because they didn't want to step on the toes of A:CM is a touchy subject, SEGA doesn't want it answered for a reason.

QuoteExpect the Answers before the End of the Month! (hopefully much sooner, just dont want to disappoint you guys if they take forever or we have to shoot back and forth a bit).

the end of the month is still a full 2 weeks away, like Joe said, it might be sooner, but don't get your hopes up.

*Update*
Tim Jones will be answering the questions he has them and now his replies must be approved by Sega.

Sorry for the slow process here but it seems I had the worst timing in the middle of alot of developer conferences and trips by their executive producers.

Thankfully the interview is extensive and quite unlike anything you've seen before, over 20+ questions, some two parters. Hopefully it will be worth your wait.

Id imagine we will have this within next week.

I woulda thought they'd have more freedom now the game has been out a while. Sega are really keeping tightly around this.

It's a rushed game.. wasn't even completed fully. I'd say just move onto another developer for questions or interviews. Rebellion is such a small company and in other interviews they just avoided questions that needed answers.

So, I'll just say "f*ck it".

i am not surprised that rebellion denied interviews . the actually released a  half ass game that have alot of  Multiplayer balance issues. and i am sure that they wanted to make a quick cash .and move on to other games .
maybe next time rebellion need to have an intensive testing like Blizzard  in Multiplayer games. so  when they release it they will not have issues balancing or fiing glitches. also very dissapointing that they release a game that was the same as the demo .
so Angry Joe i am a subcriber on youtube of your show . ad would be nice to let people know about this companys that they denie interviews and also forget about their customers.
i will never buy a rebellion game unless they make it up and patch it up ASAP

Rebellion can't just give answers without official approval from Sega and Sega might need approval from Fox. Kind of hard to point to finger at one group.

If I remember correctly AvPGalaxy's first interview took around 4 weeks to arrive back in July. I'm pretty sure your site is not being treated differently. Besides I assume you're going via Sega of America which might mean the process would be even slower. I wouldn't post your personal emails to Sega tho, rigth now you're being as unprofessional as them.

You convinced me to send an addendum to my last email to them and to remove the posted emails. I was trying to be as transparent as possible with my fans - I hate being kept in the dark and was trying to provide that to them - not trying to be unprofessional.

But i can guarantee had this ben IGN, gamespot, or gametrailers, things would be alot different - and its not like there are 346 interview requests for this game currently.

I believe the fault is with SEGA and not Rebellion, Rebellion was really excited about the interview and then things just stopped after SEGA got involved.

I understand what you mean, but updating the status seems like a better idea. Imo publishing that personal stuff was likely not going to help you or them in any way. Regarding IGN, Gamespot and Gametrailers; I guess it's something noone can deny. In those cases, I believe it's Sega who chase them to get it published in time... well plus IGN = Fox. Anyway, good luck! Hopefully you won't have to wait much more.

To be fair I wanted to let everyone know I got an update.
Apparently FOX also needs to approve anything Sega oversees regarding the AVP franchise, so there's three separate approvals here.

Anger should be direct at them, not rebellion - those guys were actually very excited about it. However my contact at rebellion has been on extended leave.

I cant really estimate when this will be finished, but im going to start asking other developers now to do the same - the format i have i think has alot of potential!

- Will their be a patch for the Ranked Match search? players (me included) have said it hasent improved but worsened.
- Will their be a option so that if a player perfoems a stealth kill, and the person turn around, instead of just flipping around and dying would it not be better if a premature finish move were initiated, like those that damge the player but can be shaken of.
- also, a predator weopon "Hit deactivation" would be nice, so if the predator is holding a weopon but gets hit by a light attack or a couple of shots from the PR his weopon is lowered and temporarily stunned, this would reduce weopon spamming at close range.
