Any ideas of what you think the story should be like? I didn't even bother reading Rodriguez's script, I really hope they hunt humans and/or other species in the present/future but no humans from the past.. Maybe flashbacks of old hunts from the past in different worlds with other species, but definately not humans from the past...

As the author of two relatively well AVP scripts , I guess I'll give my views to this. I'd have it when humanity is grasping space technology. Perhaps in a small corner of the world a hidden base heard a signal from a Predator ship , they want to launch a ship to intercept it. the Predator sees this and lands on earth. The humans of the base see this and send out around 10 soldier to capture and eliminate the Predator.
Why would a Predator ship be broadcasting a signal to nowhere in particular? :)
Also, a military base would probably send out an awful lot more than just ten people to a crash site, especially if they're aware of a possible hostile intent (which would likely then involve air support and the like).

Hi Guys here's my story:
Again a Predator comes to hunt on Earth , this time in the colder region e.g. in Alaska,
he totally wipes out a lumber camp hidden in the huge forest and the goverment somehow gets the info that something is wrong there but they keep it in secret and Arnie gets the job (who is a high rank military officer now) to make a team and capture the Pred.The team would consist of the best soldiers around the world (e.g. a soldier from the French foreign legion and a Russian warrior and etc. , actors in some soldier role : Michael Biehn , Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson , Dolph Lundgren , Jean Reno etc. ). They go to the camp totally prepared (which is totally wiped out or maybe one tough person is alive...) and they make up a very good trap and they manage to capture the Pred but the whole thing goes wrong because it turns out that there are 2 Preds hunting now and the other Pred rescues the captured and kills Arnie the leader of the team (at the very beginning of the whole action part of the film). The others ask for help , but the military says they have to make the job alone . So the whole action part starts with scary scenes and the Predators are hunting down the members one by one until only 2 or 3 left. In the end one soldier would have to fight a Pred in a simple fist fight and manages to kill the Pred , but the other kills him and finally every soldier is killed and the Pred leaves the Earth , carrying the body of the dead Pred...
There could be many changes though in this story its just a sketch but I think it would be good...
Pls don't start swearing who bad is this and how big id*ot I am , its just my point of the story...

A Predator get captured by the other clan (They're so evil they don't need a name) of predators , so hundreds of other Predators from the good clan go down to earth and have huge battles on the streets. Explosions from beginning to end and cheesy dialogue from teenagers who side with the good Predators. MUST be PG 13.

I think the story ABOVE all else should be earth based.
An idea i had been kicking around is that since my favorite part of P1 is when Arnie tees off on the Pred Home Alone style with the traps and such, it may be neat to see some tribal humans face off against one. Another reference is the final act of Apocalypto which i found pretty bad ass.
Possibly set an another planet (think the stills we have from JC's Avatar). I just think the stereotypical hard ass human vs. a Pred is a bit predictable. Not that i want one getting offed by a scrawny idiot, i would just like the protagonist(s) to be more non-standard.
Figured I would throw an idea I had out in the open.
The protagonist is a serial killer who has been murdering people on sex offender lists since a relative's attacker had recently been acquitted.
A predator witnesses one of the murders and deems him a worthy challenge.
The protagonist stops to gather himself in a rural mountainous region, but the local police find evidence of his guilt. They and the protagonist are unaware that the predator has trailed him to the town.
Police and rangers show up to arrest the killer but he escapes and runs off into the wilderness. The woods are now flush with worthy prey and the predator begins hunting them. Ground crews, swat, people in choppers are all picked off as the predator begins to toy with the protagonist.
Eventually, the protagonist and the pred are the only two left in the area and they face off.
The film ends on an ambiguous note, leaving the audience unaware who won the fight.

I'd have to go with an on purpose Fan-Film vibe. We have this secret military place introduced (maybe not secret, but of highsecrecy), no characters are formerly introduced (we see the main characters but the focus is on how the place works), we finally see the main character on screen as a close-up, but just as we see him, Something Happens! (somebody suddenly dies, or something explotes? IDK), there's this huge alert, our main guy (who as would later be introduced as being just transfered to the place) has no idea what's hppening.
Anyway (Sorry for my awful sentence structure) I think it would be interesting for the main guy to meet his companion right when the whole thing is going on and watch them die. As for the purpose of thepredator attack (yep, their predators, something I didn't make clear in the begining) would be for hunt, or maybe there's predator technology or something in the place that they want.

My point of view for the storie's is set in the time period after alien Resurrection.Human's have attacked a predator diplomatic ship in the middle of a peace treaty with a clan they have been waring with for some time.The predators out raged unite and attack earth,they cripple earth's military fleet and begin landing their ship's killing worthy prey and capturing the others.Then the story goe's to Andy a lone colonial marine who's squad has been killed who is now on a suicide mission to newyork to use an experimental weapon which he fire's downing the predator vessel's giving the remaing humans time to escape to a to the far reach's of the galaxy.

I could think up of a story.
Open to a scene of Fuedal Japan, where there is a village being burned down by some unseen invisible force. Villagers are running for their lives, samurai are trying their best to deal with those who need help and trying to fight this invisible assailant. We see alot of samurai being killed, all but one Samurai of course who manages to get a lucky strike on the assailant and reveales it to be a Predator Hunter. The Hunter draws out his wristblades and engages the samurai in a bloody battle, and in the end, the samurai kills the Predator and calls him an "Oni", believing the Predator to be one. The samurai turns and walks away, bloody, beaten and almost killed but lives on to fight another day.
We see another invisible Predator step into view and through his POV, we watch him stare as the samurai walks away.
Cut to modern day Japan, Tokyo.
The Yakuza are running rampant, smuggling drugs, extortion, prostitution. The Japanese police are once again trying to regain control of the streets of Tokyo and are doing a failing job of it. Businesses are in debted to the Yakuza clans and establishing dominance in the underground world. Enter Boss Takahashi, established dominant leader of the Yakuza clans, and the descendent of a samurai bloodline.
Thing suddenly go wrong when the killings begin when several Yakuza members are killed in an attempt to take their protection money from a small family business. Boss Takashi is the only survivor, baring witness to the deaths of his comrades by an invisible killer. Takahashi begins to lose his established dominance in the Yakuza underworld because of his fears and rumors that it was he who had killed his comrades.
Police are also investigating the killings, trying their best to discover who is killing Yakuza leaders and gang members. Reports of the events in Los Angels circa 1997 are brought up and police believe it to be a copy cat killer. We are introduced to Detective Keiko Nirasawa, widower and single parent who lost her husband to Boss Takahashi in a crossfire shootout ten years ago. Upon learning that the killer has spared her husband's killer, she decides to investigate-- with ulterior motives tempting her to get some form retribution for her husband's death at Takahashi's hands.
Cut to Takashi's home. We see him sitting in the middle of his Ancestor's shrine, trying to find answers as to what to do and how to cope with what he has seen. We then transition to where Takashi was but a boy and his father, who was also head of the Yakuza at the time, tells him the story of the creature who plundered a village and many, many samurai and how it was his ancestor who killed the beast with a family heirloom-- the very katana which was used to kill the Predator who plundered the village back in Fuedal era. Transition to present day once more and we see Boss Takahashi's little girl, Kimiko, walking in and talking to her father, instilling a sense of courage in him. Realizing that he maybe next to die, and coming to accept that, Takahashi takes the katana from the display case and walks out.
Cut to the streets of Tokyo, a club scene where Yakuza bosses, exlcuding Takahashi are sharing a drink and discussing who is behind the killings. And to ensure that no one tries to kill them, there are tons of body guards packing intense heat. This is just bait for the Predator to take, and we get shoot out happening. The bosses are killed, the guards are killed-- heads and weapons are taken as trophies by the Predator. At the last minute, both Takahashi and Nirasawa both catch sight of the Predator and try to kill it, but fail in doing so, and the Predator escapes. However, Takahashi and Nirasawa exchange a dialogue and realize that they need to work together in taking down this extraterrestrial killer.
.....Thats the basic gist of my idea. I'd cast Meisa Kuroki as Nirasawa and Ken Watanabe as Boss Takahashi.

Personally I'd set it in fictional Africa, with grasslands, desert and jungle settings as backdrops. I'd have several predators, but focus on one only. I'd have illegal big-game hunters that seem to have influence on local authorities, and a hero that is a kind of mercenary that serves both local civilians and local authorities, but is protecting wildlife too. He knows at least one of the hunters, and starts tracking him down. Only to discover that the hunters are being hunted themselves.

It'd be more grounded than P2 and the AvP flicks at least, but I'm still working out balancing between all the factions... Can't have too much politics in it too, since it is primarily an action sci-fi flick.

I really want the viewer to have the feel of hunting and being hunted while tracking down the big game hunter and end up on the Predators game trail.

A commando team in Veitnam finds their target skinned, and a Predator attacks them. They attempt a helicopter rescue (blown out of the sky), a carpet bombing (dodged), traps (dodged) and running it over with a commandered NVA tank (blown-up). No idea how to end it.
A violent, gladiotorial and highly illegal game show on a tropical island in space somewhere, run like the Truman Show and Death Race is joined in by a Predator. The contestants try to fight eachother and the Predator, the Predator has an awesome time butchering security and contestants alike, and the Director has a whale of a time filming the carnage, until the Predator attcks his control center and kills everyone inside.
At a present-day SUPERMAX prison, all the doors open on time, butall the guads have disapeared. After a tense walk, the Prisoners riot, discovering that they are still trapped inside the prison. Eventually, they find all of the guards murdered and guns conveniantly placed in various locations. The riot steps up a notch, before a Predator (responsible for the whole situation) attacks.

I would like to see something in the vein of The Ghost and the Darkness, with two Predators hunting together instead of the two man-eaters. Maybe they crash land on Earth, they don't have all their weaponry and technology, aren't able to leave the planet, so they stay and hunt. If it's a similar setting, I guess they would also have a cave as hideout and to keep the trophies (like the lion cave in Ghost and Darkness with all the skulls and bones).

The Predators carefully watch and pick a select group of humans (murderers, assassins, soldiers, etc), after secretly, watching them in conflict and then capture the humans and take them to a "hunting" planet. A Predator safari. So, not only are the Predators dangerous, but also the group of humans. It's totally survival of the fittest. The "most dangerous game". Whoever is the last man or woman standing, gets their freedom and respect.
It's really another phase of the Predator training. The "winners" of the Alien pyramid, get their chance to hunt the most lethal humans around. These humans know about killing and death and are not afraid to do anything to stay alive...even if that means, killing each other.
Not only that, but the Predators are competing with each other. This is another test of survival. If they need to fight for trophies, they will. It's all about collecting as many human trophies, as possible. They don't work in a group, they hunt alone.
Now, as to how the Predators KNOW there is one human left, maybe the humans are given or implanted some kind of tracking device and the Predators can monitor when the tracking device stops. If there is only one tracking device left, then all of the remaining Predators must gather and allow the last human to survive a "final fight" with a chosen Predator and if the human wins the fight, they get to live, with the respect of the Predators.
So, yes, there would be the possiblity of Predators fighting each other for a human trophy. The object is to collect as many human trophies, as possible. Whoever gets enough trophies and survives, will face the remaining human in a deathmatch and if the Predator wins, they will move on to the next step of their training.

So, yes, there would be the possiblity of Predators fighting each other for a human trophy. The object is to collect as many human trophies, as possible. Whoever gets enough trophies and survives, will face the remaining human in a deathmatch and if the Predator wins, they will move on to the next step of their training.
See? Now, THAT could work.
Already that idea is a million times better than Rodriguez's original idea.

I want a story which has nothing to do with "teenage predators", "training grounds", "clan wars" or any bullshit like that. I'd rather watch a predator that pistol whores its way through present-day Newcastle than something that reads like a Klingon-heavy episode of Star Trek TNG.

agreed. I just want it to not suck.. and it better have badass creature effetcs like the original. If they suck the cgi dick dry on this I'm gonna pee all over the reels in the movie theater.
