I have a big pasion towards Aliens and Predator. i became a big fan of these to great Franchises in 1992 when i was 6 years old. what got me to become a big fan of aliens and Predator was the Alien and Predator films. In 1992  also started collecting the kenner Aliens and Predator action figures after watching  Predator, Predatro 2, Alien 3 and Aliens. then the graphic novels and comics and years later the video games Capcom Aliens vs Predator Arcade game, Aliens vs Predator 2  for the Pc I have always bin fascinated  with these to great franchises

The first Aliens versus Predator centers on Ryushi, a recently-colonized planet, and Machiko Noguchi, the Chigusa Corporation's administrator there. The settlers on Ryushi raise cattle-like quadrupedal ungulates called rhynth for export to other solar systems, and at the time of the story are in the process of assembling a shipment of the native livestock.

Unbeknownst to the colonists, Ryushi is a traditional hunting ground of the Predators, and they are returning for their initiation rites. Onboard the Predator ship, the prey are prepared : an Alien queen lays eggs for delivery to Ryushi. Confounding the Predator's safeguards, this queen manages to slip an egg containing the seed of another queen into the shipment.

On reaching Ryushi, the eggs hatch and infect Rhynth. Led by a Predator elder, Broken Tusk, the Predators arrive expecting to encounter Aliens. However, they soon run into the settlers and, after Broken Tusk is incapacitated, change their plans and hunt them instead.

Meanwhile, the infected Rhynth have been loaded aboard a cargo transporter and, with a queen among their number, an Alien colony quickly takes hold. The Predator assault continues to the settler colony itself, and the surviving settlers find themselves pitched between the Aliens and Predators. Broken Tusk, now recovered due to the intervention of a human doctor, sides with Machiko, and together with the cargo ship's crew they arrange for the transporter's massive orbiter to crash into Ryushi and destroy the colony and the Aliens.

In the ensuing fight, Broken Tusk is mortally wounded, but, admiring the courage of his human comrade, "bloods" Machiko with the mark of his clan. The story concludes with Machiko the sole inhabitant of Ryushi, the surviving settlers having been evacuated from the planet. She awaits, and is rewarded with, the return of the Predators and another hunt. One of Broken Tusk's former Predator rivals greets her and, recognizing Broken Tusk's clan symbol, accepts Machiko into the hunt.


I loved the Kenner Aliens vs Predator action figures as a kid thats really what got me into Aliens at that time i use to collect action figures from Aliens, Predator, and Terminator 2 i would go to Target , Shopko, K-Mart, and KB Toys with my mom and dad and buy these action figures. I loved how the Kenner Aliens and Predator Action figures always came with a small comic book

I remember when i got the Powerloader i was 7 years old and i got money from working for my dad and then we went to K-Mart and i bought it i would put Drake or Hicks in it and have wars with the Bull Alien and all the other Aliens and Predators

(Sigh) I remember when i was 9 years old and i went to Shopko with my mom. I visited the action figure section as i always do and to my surprise i saw the Aliens vs Predator 2 pack action figures. I freaked i grabed it then i took off with joy to look for my mom i couldn't believe it two of my favorite SciFi movie characters together i was so happy. That night i played with them and even fell asleep with them. The next day i took them to school for show and tell i still had the case every one in class knew i was a big fan i was in 3rd grade

As a kid in the early 90's i had all of these action figures good times

As an adult 15 years later I still have them all. ;D

I started collecting them when i was 6 years old back in 1993 i had all the Alien and Predator action figures but the ones I still have are

- Bull Alien with face hugger   my first Alien toy
- Wild Boar Alien
- Panther Alien
- Broken Tusk Predator
- Stalker Predator

and im 21 years old

Man they just dont make action figures like they use to i miss Kenner

Theres more then enough source and images to start a Kenner Aliens and Predator merchandise section for AvP Galaxy no were else would you find these pics they are relics from the past

Thanks for posting all these pics and quotes. I wish i still had the comics and cards. I had most of the figures. The one's i didnt have were:

The reason i never owned those predators or aliens was because they didnt look anything like the ones from the movie. I never got the evac fighter or the power loader because they were too expensive.

Oh man, you missed out by not getting the Snake Alien. That was the first Aliens toy I ever got, and it's still one of my favorites. That thing is awesome. ;D

what did the snake do that was special? I would have liked too have gotten the panther alien since it looked alot like the alien 3 alien. One thing i hated about that one was the creature torpedo thing that shot out of its back ::). Almost as stupid as the giant facehugger.

The action gimmicks on the Snake Alien were that it was bendy (so you could wrap it around other action figures), and if you pressed forward on a tab on top of the head, the jaws would snap out and bite, and the inner jaw would sort of extend. It was awesome. ;D

I also had the Snake Alien the inner mouth retractable feature was awesome I use wrap its tail around my Marines and Predators

Did anyone have the special mail order cloaked predator? He was cool he was see-through and had a silver mask you could put on him.

Yep, got him. :) He was pretty cool. He's sort of faded yellowish a bit with age, though. :(

I had quite a bit of these as a kid, only have 1 or 2 now. :(  The Alien/Predator Kenner toys were probably one of the few toys I played with from when I was a tiny kid (5-6 yrs old) up to about when I quit playing with toys (11-12?).

That shoddy "photoshop" on top of Bishop's face on that card looks hilarious.  :P

I think I still have most of my Kenner Aliens stuff.

That reminds me, I'm actually visiting my parents for Thanksgiving, I think I'll dig out some of my random stuff and snap some pictures just for chuckles. :)

They should bring back Kenner and a new line of Aliens and Predator toys

I have seen tonnes of these on Amazon and Play.

Mcfarlane should make a new series of Aliens and Predator toys but more of a concept imagination like Kenner did with there Aliens and Predator action figures by make Aliens and Predators that were never in the films such as the Gorilla Alien and the Cracked Tusk Predator

I have most of these in my collection (bought as an adult  ;) ) only the Aliens series not the Predator figures.

I thought it was ironic Bishop having a Gatling Gun...when he wouldn't even take Vasquez's pistol  :D  Creative licence on Kenner's marketing department. I was told Kenner didn't have permission from Sigourney to use a likeness of her...so its kinda general.

It was great seeing the TV commercial for them ;D

I actually got a Queen Hive playset off eBay recently, complete with the sealed can of "Alien Ooze". I'll be cracking it open at Christmastime when I visit my parents and sliming up a bunch of my Marines and taking pictures. ;D

I own the entire collection. Even the KB remakes and Hive Wars. I plan on given them to my son.

That's one of the few items I don't have from the Kenner Series is the Hive Playset. :(

Was it the Hive Wars where the figures were various colors? (most of my collection is in storage)I bought them years ago from KB Toy outlets. (which I heard is going out of business?) I didn't care much for most of the Aliens in that series. But when I first started to collect I would buy anything & everything that was Alien.

I had to quit that when space & money became an issue. :P  Now I will only buy something if I reeeally like it  8)

Hive Wars had 2 Alien figures, which were exactly the same but one was red and one was blue.

The KB re-issues were all just repaints of prior figures, and they also had two-packs with Marines which were also repaints.

The 2 packs I thought were pretty awsome. The colors on the aliens were better then their original.

For those who don't know, this version of the Facehugger only showed up in the alternate cut of Alien3. It was found under the ox when they lifted it out of the cart.

The back story of the Predalien

In Aliens VS Predator: Requiem, a lone Yautjas species Predator is sent to Earth to destroy a crashed ship and wipe out any of the deadly Xenomorph aliens aboard. Before he reaches the wreckage, several of the aliens escape into a nearby town. As the Predator hunts and kills the acid-blooded Xenomorphs, a new, even more deadly creature is tracking the Predator - the PredAlien.

Born of an alien facehugger implanted in a Predator host, the hybrid possesses attributes of both the Xenomorph and Yautjas species. Its physical size and strength are greater than any alien born from a human host, and more agile than any Predator hunter. Its listed as a magazine (of 3) having 96 pages in full color for $24.95

I'm wondering if the Alien figures are in part 1 or in all 3 parts (yet to be solicited)? Regardless I will be checking this out!

Yes the 5th spike....I'd also had heard that. That "new" replacement parts could be purchased for the 18'' Kenner Alien...like the dome cover. Thanks for mentioning it :) I would rather put the money towards one in the box. One that would be all original.  ;D

I might be wrong but I thought there were pictures of a female pred and a hybrid in concept form made by Kenner posted in a Tomarts action figure guide magazine some years back.  I'm off to google it.

There was a female Pred, but no hybrid to my recollection. You can see a pic of the female Pred prototype here (http://www.toyarchive.com/Predator/Prototypes/Prototypes.html).

the fourth one down is the prototype hybrid.  Thanks for the link.  I looked for awhile w no luck.

the night recon one was released but without a mask or the bird just a knife. he was grey.

Whilst I used to own a majority of MISB Alien toys, I traded them in quite some time ago, and kept my loose collection. Many of the Aliens defer quite far from their supposed movie counterparts, it is still interesting to see the creativity Kenner came up with to market these monsters.

This came out today as well.

I'm not happy with the format. Its issued in 6 thin sections (thinner than the U.K. Alien Mag/Comic...if memory serves me ;) )

Section 3 has A Star Wars cover with a 1979 18" Alien in the top middle (sorry no scanner).
The last page & back cover have a question & answer with head Kenner Sculptor Rudy Vap about the 1979 figure. The last page has an pic of the 1979 figure in the box. And the back cover has the 18" figure with an inset of Ripley,Ash & Dallas figure.

Section 4's Cover has a the inside back of a Dallas figure package. Along with more Star Wars & Strawberry Shortcake figures on it. :D

The Inside Cover,1st page & next page have pics & article about the 18" figure.

Most of the sections are filled with Star Wars. So if your a Star Wars fan you might want to pick this up.

If I find anything else in the mag I'll post it. ;D

Kenner's line of Aliens action figures took the Alien species farther than anyone had dared to that point and since. Several new breeds were introduced - some feasible such as the Bull and Gorilla Aliens; some a bit absurd such as the Mantis and Killer Crab Aliens. Kenner, collaborating with Dark Horse, brought back everyone's favorite Marines from the 1986 movie, giving them a different flavor and placing them against these Aliens for a series of 13 mini comic books. Each of the first 12 figures from the Aliens line included a small pack-in comic and a 13th was released with the Aliens Vs. Predator 2-pack.

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and thought I would post here first. I'm a huge Predator fan and I have been collecting Predator merchandise for over 15 years. I have the COMPLETE Kenner Predator collection domestically released MIB and MOC! They are stored in a cool, dry trunk in acid free bags. It took me years to hunt them all down, but it was worth it. I even have the Kenner Predator Cinemacast. I think that the Kenner Aliens and Predators were some of the neatest figures that Kenner ever produced. Just in case you're wondering, no, I don't want to sell my collection. ;D

I have the Mantis Alien, Scavage Predator, and Stalker Predator (missing some parts to that one, though). I love them! I think they are cooler than the newer figures!

I almost got a bull alien yesterday, but it was broken and the price was more than I wanted to spend.

The comics aren't loading on my computer. Does anyone else have this problem?

Apone Color Scheme?

One thing i never understood about the Kenner Apone action figure was that it had a diffrent color scheme then the actual figure for instance the commercial and picture of him always showed him with his knee pads and gun holster colored in and with orange gear on his web belt instead of silver. I always wonderd why they released an incomplete version of him

The reason i brought this up is because i order him from Amazon.com and he arived today in extremely new and mint package display almost like if some one reached into the 90's and took him off the shelf. So I was looking at him noticed that some parts such as his knee pads and gun strap on his leg wernt colored i looked at the back of the package. Up for bid rare  Aliens Vs. Predator Action Figure Lot, you get 2 different packs 7 inch figure mint on the card  (see pictures) and also bonus you get probably the only mail order figure ever that I actually mailed away for my self years ago, it comes complete with instruction sheet even , happy bidding....

1.) its not uncommon for production figures to differ from the prototypes - especially for kid-geared action figures that aren't concerned with the mcfarlane-era paint jobs. all the box pictures and any promotional material are done well enough in advance that the prototypes are the only thing available for the images. at some point when these figures went into production they decided it was too costly to do that many paint applications in actual manufacture. a great example of this is gijoe's snake eyes - they didn't have the budget to paint much of the figure, as they intended, so they molded his whole body in black and only painted his web gear.

2.) getting out-bid by $.50-$1.00 is how ebay works. although whoever out-bid you probably did so by a few dollars, only the amount needed to out-bid you is displayed. they could have out-bid you by $200, but only the incremental amount established in the bidding proxy displays. man, i would stay far away from amazon - its the same as ebay (independent vendors selling items through the site) but you don't even get a chance at naming your own price - and commit to planning on an as-close-to-the-last-second bidding strategy on ebay as your computer's connection will allow - its the only way to win anything.

A store named Play With This: Old Toys And Collectables opened up near me, and has a whole wall of Alien, Predator, and AvP stuff, including the Kenner figures. There's also a diorama of a huge AvP battle, with everything in the Diorama for sale. I go there about once every two months or so, Last time I went I picked up AvP:R Masked Wolf Predator, A black repaint of the scorpion Alien from the Kenner AvP line, and the A:R Warrior.

maybe im wrong but it seems to me Aliens was one of Kenners most popular toy lines?
They apparently had big plans for it

I've just got my random collection of figures out and by god, these Kenner ones are durable. As great as the McFarlance's stuff might look, the joints are terrible, they're hard to position. The Kenner ones may not be the most visually accurate but damn, they were made to be played with.
