I hate panspermia.

"Where did life originate?"

"Somewhere else!"

"...ok, where did that originate?"

" .... somewhere else!"

It's such a f**king non-answer.

This is just another tomb.

There's this great Futurama episode where the crew crashes or lands on a planet and in the end it turns out their cargo was what started evolution on the planet.

Something like that makes sense. Asteroid with small organisms or something like that.
There's a scientist or professor who says there's as many Earth-like planets as there are grains of sand on the beach.
So maybe something from one of those got here at some point.

The sad truth is that there are more stupid people in the world than smart people. I've come to believe that the Bell curve of human IQ is not symmetrical, but highly weighted towards the dumb end.

I was once in a lecture theatre when the tutor got sidetracked and told us how she could see peoples' auras. Gradually, other students in the room started saying how all of a sudden they could see her aura. She was darkly lit but standing in front of a bright white board. Apparently these people had made it all the way to adulthood and yet failed to notice the visual after-effect the eye responds with after observing a dark silhouette in front of a bright field.

No, these people weren't kidding around.

Some people are crazy. They think we're living inside an anime, or something

While being an intelligent individual doesn't necessarily mean being a rational one, I believe that things like a bad education & lack of critical thinking can make people see the world in black and white, which makes them embrace totalitarian ideologies, superstitions or fringe science. However, sometimes the Internet can make things worse.

I don't get why believing in evolution is considered as smart but believing in Space God isn't.

Because one is well documented with scientific evidence while the other is not ;)

Well, so then why it considered that they're contradict each other?

Talking of evidence. We still don't have time machine to see actually what happened and what didn't in the past.

The roots of the ancient aliens' concept are older than folks like Erich von Daniken or even prior to Lovecraft's fiction; with as a somewhat esoteric idea about metaphysical entities from the planet Venus, who played a key role in the development of the ancient civilizations.

Ok, perhaps the hypothetical idea of extraterrestrial visits in the ancient past is not entirely impossible (absence of evidence is not evidence of absence), but the disappointing truth is that they have been failed when trying to support their thesis. Nowadays it's only a dishonest business based on profit at the expense of people's ignorance.

Well we do. The light from the stars tells us what happened. Plus all the fossil records.

As Kurgan said, evolution has evidence. If space gods had evidence the evidence would be given due consideration.

But what if lindelof doesn't want you to know? What if they don't want you to know?

What if Ridley Scott is an Alien God?
