im working on a VR - PC hybrid alien vs predator game, its going to have game play like avp2. I plan to have it on early access for steam by march 2021

I just re did my version of suk strong hold 2021, its a co-op, alien vs marines vs predators. I will post a video of the map later this week. this video is from the team death match map

right now you can play as a marine on the keyboard or play as a marine in VR, and play aliens and predators on the pc keyboard mouse/gamepad. plan to take the predator to vr mode next.

I am going to try to make the game run on an internet browser so hopefully in feb you will be able to just log in with browser and play as a marine, alien or predator through a browser with VR players in the server to test the game play

also you will be able to make your own maps and upload them to play

There is a fresh, new ReShade shader, than can convert games to VR. No head tracking but may be good enough:

It would require an entire new mesh / rig system
And AVP2 wasn't made for a smooth workflow with 3D app of nowadays in mind. There are only a few versions of Maya, 3DS and lightwave with which the import/export system work and redoing all the anims would be a pain in the ass even for a trained animator.

Thank you for your reply. I hope someone can make an alien game into vr. Playing doom made me realize how amazing a full vr alien vs predator game can be.

I played aliens colonial Marines with vorpx and it was ok it was 3d but not full vr.

Alien isolation is nice in vr but suffers from poor graphics that really take away from the immersion

Doom 3bgf had me thinking maybe just maybe avp2 game could be ported but I guess it's to old.

Hopefully all games moving forward has code for vr

no half lie 2 is only  2 years older then avp2 and its VR



it can be done!! And let me tell you who ever did doom 3 as vr mod did an amazing job. older games work better for some reason

I have an HTC vive and I played the alien isolation in vr mod but the graphics looked horrible. I have been playing boom 3 BGF in virtual reality and its amazing!!! You can move around and duck and it gets dark and the flash light lights up the dark areas nice and it looks incredible, I heard they also made half life into virtual reality, I think the old games work better for some reason

is there any possible way to bring avp2 to virtual reality?
