I quite get a kick out of playing Bug Hunt.

With a shovel?

I quite get a kick out of playing Bug Hunt.  Finished one of them on noob difficulty and while it can be fun I have to admit that it's pretty dopey at times when you have half a dozen Aliens in front of you and you're mowing them down with a smart gun and your entire field of view is acid - then when the smoke clears, maybe some of your armour is gone.

I own Alien Isolation but I just can't get into it.

I for one love a good game that is connected to a particular franchise, or genre that I love.
Not a big gamer at all, not the type at least who feels he needs to own the latest thing of everything, that sort of faded away once I turned 17 or 18 I think.

AVP3 was the reason I bought a PS3 back in the days, it seemed like a dream come true and in many, many ways it was. The hundreds of hours I spend on the multiplayer still brings back fond childhood memories.

When a friend pointed out an article to me, somewhat during 2011/2012'ish where they showed the big head crusher type Alien I won't lie I was I was pretty stoked.
Then I saw the first trailer they releashed, which was probably the first time I was triggered to notice the directional changes happening between movies.
I was a semi-young lad who kept reading the Youtube comments warfaring between each other whether James Cameron was either the saving grace of the franchise, or the harbringer of its doom.
And all I was like was: who the F's is this James Cameron and Ridley Scott guy? I should learn more about them.

Either way it looked promising, but it sort of got off my rader. Exams and all, and real life crashing into me like a Juggernaut spaceship

Then when it came out and saw the gameplay I was bummed. Not massivly dissappointed like so many others, just a big massive meh'

Never felt the need to play it at all.

Then the trailers came out for Alien: Isolation and I've been obsessively following every bit of news and footage I got my hands on. Still one of the best games I've ever played in my entire life. A true piece of art.

A:CM though, it had the potential to be exactly that. I still occasionally check out that first trailer just to see what could have been.

Shame.

Well good for you but Randy still can't be trusted.

Would you say that Randy Pitchford has been unfairly maligned?

So I was semi following this for years, not really expecting it to happen. I think I was aware of when it came out, but didn't care too much...i think it came out in early 2014
i probably played it a good year later and that seems like a good thing
dlc already out (although i started with the standard game)
all bugs fixed...never dealt with o'neil getting in the way, aliens didnt get stuck, those type of bugs were never experienced by me
bear in mind i play on pc too
i first played the game by myself all the way through
then my best friend and i played together
fun times
i played it a ton of times with 4 ppl online (i added a ton of ppl on steam and messaged them constantly)
it is a lot of fun with a ton of people
it is not that bad by yourself either
sure the graphics appear to be years old, and the story is mediocre, but a ton of marines fighting aliens with the weyland yutani troops doing experiments and exploring the derelict
the ai isnt that great, from what i hear, on release is was horrible
I think I have had the best possible experience with Aliens Colonial Marines.
I just do the campaign with ppl, i enjoy it quite a bit
i did my first game of bug hunt by myself the other day, opening lots of options for future playing!
pm me if u want to play
