The Concept Art, talk of Marines being able to employ pheremones to attract or repel Aliens etc...from the Edge feature, along with PC Zone's look back on game etc which i sent to Unseen64 are HERE:https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B8CccfuFkhMcVWpqZVVXRnc2Mkk&usp=sharing

I (as Rogue Trooper), put a good few Q's to Rebellion whilst on RVG, full interview HERE:

http://www.retrovideogamer.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=385:rebellioninterview&catid=91&Itemid=160

IF you want to go way back to games 'roots' as a lot of features that never made it here, ended up on the PC version, AVP Jaguar stuff is to be found here:

http://www.retrogamer.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=11979&p=259146&hilit=rebellion+alien#p259146

And of course those screens claiming to be of early and then canned PS1 version are here:

http://www.grumpyoldgamers.co.uk/index.php?/topic/2721-lost-alien-vs-predator-ps1-game/

Though i suspect these were actually from early PC version, passed off as PS1 stuff, as happened on Jaguar Freelancer etc, high end PC hardware running BRender software used to create mock-ups for planned games.

Do you have direct links to any interviews or research regarding the first game? I'm mostly seeing AvP 2 stuff here.

:D Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Good idea and look what I found!:

AvPNews Interviews Searched late 2003

PlanetAvP Interviews Searched late 2007

I occasionally check out the old sites on WayBack for stuff like that. Glad it helped you.  :)

QuoteI'm currently searching at work and don't have a ton of time to read right now but I'm hoping these have the kinds of stuff I'm looking for. If nothing else, having the names of some of these developers is really helpful and maybe some of these people are accessible via social media. It's crazy how much the internet has changed since that game came out.

Some of the old AvPNews team did work on the game in some capacity and they're on Facebook. If you float me your Facebook name I'll try and add you to the group and you can get hold of them that way.

QuoteEDIT: So far disappointed by the AvPNews ones. The Dave Stalker transcription from what appears to be a multiplayer lobby chatroom is amusing at best, but there's not a whole lot of info. His sarcasm is coming through in some of his responses and it's pretty entertaining. I can totally see myself as one of the people asking him these annoying questions like "When are we getting more guns!?"

They did seem to be somewhat encumbered by a close relationship with Fox. As if they couldn't really try and dig.

I'd be happy to try and help you with this. I'd love to get some sort of development history article going.

I'd have a look back over the older sites in WayBack. AvPNews, PlanetAvP. Check out some of Lost_Dragon's posts on here too, he shares old magazine scans to do with the various games.

Hey everyone, just wanted to pop in with a quick question. I was wanting to do some research on AvP; extended reading and whatnot about the making of the game, interviews with developers, etc. Are there any good sources for this type of info? I'm mostly looking for clickable links for those of you who'd be so kind to indulge me.
