I disagree Celticant
this problem derived for a 50 % from the game but it depends for 40% of the master server that you are using.
not only from the incompatibility of the new hardware in circulation 10%.
if you install avp2 only with the 1.0.9.6  without any multiplayer update this problem does not exist.
I want also to point with the old 2.0 m.s also include previous versions ,
I've never seen this problem (but we are talking about a long time ago).
still I wonder what went wrong in that version except clear type problem ,
and that the safety It was not total (unless it was not present an admin).
the certainty at 100 % that there will always be stupid kids ,
who play with their expensive mause with macro and other shit .

Hey,

Because it's not age dependent but game dependent.
AVP2 has some of the weirdest hardcoding in both the engine and the source code.
They may have use some codes that reacts differently with hardware systems containing their own softwares.
I'm not really sure how this all work and frankly I don't know but, AVP2 is well known to be a pain in the ass with everything that comes up, the original avp never had as many problems (from both Rebellion's AVP I own, they work smooth and I never had an issue with them while AVP2 is a whole different story).

Maybe try to find a cheap mouse that works with USB, like logitech or something.
Mouse supported by additional software sometimes have problem to work with some applications.

AVP2 is old and may recognize your mouse softwares as conflicted.
hmm alright but how come avp 1 works like a charm then and that game is even older :(

??? it's very strange
you have another pc to do a test?
p.s
you have try windowed mode?(i know dont have a sense on win 7)but try the same.
You know how to activate the mode 'windowed?

i dont know how to play the game in windowed mode.

Open a file called 'autoexec.cfg'

Add this line "Windowed" "1"

ok il give it a shot now.

update, it did not work mouse is still zig zaging when looking either up or down.

So you thought 'window mode' would solve the issue?

You need to look into more details with your mouse settings.

i have done windowd i have done mouse settings just like you all said in here

none of it works.

As JP said,

steel series KANA drivers/software reduce the 'rate'

all should be well.
