Been listening to FM-84 a lot. I dig New Retro Wave. The sounds of the 80s today.

If they were shown in the US during the 80s and the 90s...

I've been listening to DNCE on the radio since last year. Until recently, I didn't realize that the lead singer was originally from the Jonas Brothers. (Nor did I know the name of the band until recently). I never heard any of the Jonas Brothers' songs. I just know that they were popular.

A while ago, I discovered funeral doom band Tyranny.  Their album Aeons in Tectonic Internment is some of the heaviest, grandest music I have ever heard.

a-ha

The new album, Cast In Steel, hit the charts at #8 in the UK. This newer sound of the Norwegian band is very nice and mellow-ly energetic. Great to hear that one vocalist in the world has an even better voice than when they "peaked" in 1985! Check out CIS, it is a very nice and relaxing album!

Cocteau Twins

I have always enjoyed Slowdive (from Sweden) and shoegaze overall. I finally broke down and got two albums from CTwins and both are GREAT. Music that is not made or sadly remembered anymore. I highly recommend Cocteau Twins for fans of The Cure, The Smiths, Slowdive (obviously ;) ) and Dead Can Dance.
