I must be the only one who thinks it would be a great idea to throw the Rupture ability on every Alien... just for "realism (authenticity?)" sake!

I understand people's dislike with the rupture I use 2 use it aswell. IMHO its the xeno's trump card vesus the Claymore, besides play survivor its about the only way to win against a skilled camping team however they also team up and camp in tdm aswell so u decide,this is just my opinion.

It's annoying as f**k but so useful and the only real circumstance in which we get actual acid damage from dying Aliens.

I have killed rupture spitters with melee and survived. A boiler on the other hand, can kill a whole group of marines even when they are not within melee distance. Also, a boiler can control when it explodes.

Rupture spitters are dangerous but they aren't overpowered, IMO. Marines have access to smartguns, sentry turrets, etc. The gameplay is asymmetrical so it isn't balanced the same as your average FPS.

I agree as well, the "Rupture Noobs" just spam it to death too often. If Shitbox decides to add another patch to the game (doubtful) I would hope they could balance Rupture or hey just take it out of the game entirely. I have enough problems to worry about with the boiler alien. kinda redundant for the spitter to have the ability as well.

It's only annoying if you're absent-minded enough to get cornered/step in the pool of acid after the initial explosion. I actually like it, it's a much more fair ability/perk than the martyrdom's ala Call of Duty

I also have no quarrels with it. The range of the explosion is actually quite small. That fact coupled with the fairly long range of the game's shotguns (in comparison with the effective range of shotguns from other games) can nullify the rupture ability if the spitter is spotted and fired upon soon enough.
