Quote from: SM on Jul 02, 2008, 06:05:49 AMYeah, I've always had that theory too, which has even greater relevance considering what we see the predalien doing with it...
Yes we know. His point was the acid had lost it's potency so quickly after death.
Though it is more or less in keeping with the earlier scene in the cage when the Alien is slaughtered for it's blood.
To add further to Necronoir's point about not being much blood in that part of the body- I've always said that based on the floppy inner jaw, it's like a schlong - when needed it's pumped full of blood and rigid. When not (or when the Alien's dead) no blood is pumped into it and it's flacid. Hence the lack of blood leaking from it when Ripley gives it to Call.

There was absolutely no blood on that occasion either, even though the alien only died moments before, so maybe that particular region just doesn't have much blood flow...
Script immunity is a piss weak excuse.
Ripley had script immunity in Aliens - but it was still exciting because she constantly had obstacles thrown in her way, and she had to find a way to over come them. Never saw her take an acid bath and survive because of budgetary issues - because she was never put in such a dumb situation in the first place.

I was watching a clip of a fight scene of the movie and i notice how when The Wolf smashs the Alien with his foot that the Acid blood not effect him. The acid blood should have burn his foot off but his body had no effect from the acid what so ever.
