A:CM has been delayed 'till Fall so I think there's still gonna be some players around for a while.

I would like the option of being able to play as Aliens in ACM, but if even if that isn't going to be available, and it turns out to truly be Marine vs Merc/Weyland or other humans there should be aliens in the environment that will attack and kill plays that would add some atmosphere and build on gameplay in my opinion.

I agree with Marinho, I would like to play ACM as soon as possible, though personally its more towards experiencing the story since its suppose to be a quasi-movie type game. I still feel the servers will be busy, dont worry too much PredXeno buddy, even if for the first few months the avp servers population diminishes as ppl start playing Acm I feel that after ppl completing acm, and depending on how varied and besides the game modes and multiplayer options are, they should probably be lots of ppl coming back to play Avp if not just casually. Love it or hate it, its a unique game, and ppl seem to keep playing it regardless of whatever flaws there may be.:D

CM will be a totally different experience than AVP.  At least, it better be!

Assuming they actually want to dish out the cash to buy that game as well; of course, these'll just be the casual players.

Most people that I know stopped playing AVP '010 over a year ago and the amount of players for AVP have decrease after a year when the game came out. The game came out almost two years ago and if ACM is good then more people will play that game instead.

I doubt that the competitive modes will be marines vs wy mercs only. Its VERY likely to see playable Aliens. CoD style competitive modes will kill the game very fast. I dont think GBX are so stupid to not to add playable aliens in games about the major enemy are the aliens.

Well, I still have doubts about that.  And it's ok if we don't have playable Aliens; whatever keeps the AVP game servers running, right? ;)

But, I'm betting players won't be able to play as the Aliens. ;)

Besides a lot of ppl play Avp for the Predator experience in particular, and I do not think that will will be available in Aliens C, since its based on the Alien franchise alone, also I think it would depend on what kind of multiplayer options will be available on Aliens C :D

I'm agre with you on that, especialy about the multiplayer options that A:CM brings.
If there is only coop mode that we have seen the game probably game won't keep too many people playing for too much time.
Competitive MP modes are already confirmed.

But surely there will still be people who play AVP when A:CM comes out?  Is anybody here planning on waiting for the game to get cheaper before they buy it or are we all buying the game immediately when it comes out?

1st day buy for me.
But i still will be playing AVP whenever get the time.

Hello,
It's not like there's anything to kill anymore on AVP3.
The game is abandoned.
