I've love that clip... watched it over and over again on dvd... the way it moves gives so much mystery to the alien... makes it just completely alien

The bottom photo (the one that looks like Lebron) is of David "the admiral" Robinson.  Former Navy college player who would go on to be a stud for the San Antonio Spurs.

yup.  i knew it the moment i looked at it.  conspiracies abound - but thats the admiral

So is it for sure then that he is dead? :( I always thought he just kind of disappeared out of the public eye shortly after Alien.

Sorry for bumping this old thread. but was bugging me out seeing that someone think that the guy next to the lady is Lebron James. It's not. This is ex San Antonio Spurs center David Robinson. David is pretty much the same height as Bolaji. He's 7'1". That was a younger picture of him.

I remember David Robinson very well, Spurs were at the top of their game with him and Tim Duncan around.

Seen that before.

It's almost unbelievable to see how thin his legs are.

Just one of the few images that I have never seen. Not sure if you guys have seen these either, but what the hell, might as well put them out here.

Thanks Gazz. All I know about Badejo is that he was roughly 26 at the time, studied fine arts in Ethiopia, lived in San Francisco for 3 years, and ended up as a student of graphic art in London before snatching the role of the Alien. After that, he completely vanishes from the face of the Earth. He was keen on playing the Alien again if they made a sequel too, which is a real shame considering he [allegedly] didn't live to see it.

Wanted to give this thread a bump.

Does anyone know where he was a student, where he studied? Presumably he was on a graphic design course.
Johnny, do you know what year Screen International reportedly printed his suicide? I'll try and track down the issue.
He studied in London, I believe, but can't confirm. He studied graphic design, I believe. You may have to find a specific technical college/university from the time.

I tried contacting SI but got no reply, all I know is that it was in the early 80's, Jon Sorenson said to me: Bolaji's suicide was reported a few years after ALIEN was released in the British periodical "Screen International". Later it was confirmed to me by another individual, possibly dear Neil Swan of the ALIEN SFX crew, but I cannot now recall who exactly. I remember being upset by the news, vividly, since he was a major member of the ALIEN family. I have no doubt he is gone.

Once again that's a great write up Valaquen (I'm envious of your skills). I do agree with the source involved in the Alien Quad that it would make a great documentary in trying to not only track down Bolaji Badejo (regardless of the possibility of his suicide) but also trying to find more about the life of the man before and after Alien.
