I still wonder what happen to Abe Vigoda? I think North (1994) and Good Burger (1997) put a end to him  :D.

Yeah. I think Hoskins took a blow from that one. Enemy at the Gates seemed to help him out though.

Bob Hoskins was in Unleashed with Jet Li about 5 or 6 years ago and then in Doomsday a few years later. I would have liked to have seen him in more actually because I quite like him. I actually loved Super Mario Bros The Movie as a kid but I havnt seen it for ten years so I have no idea what my thoughts on it would be now. I think id probably enjoy for nostalgic reasons. I loved the Goombas rocking in the lift.

I'm surprise that no one mention Super Mario Bros? John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper are the only ones still had a good career. Enemy at the Gates (2001) was the major movie that I seen Bob Hoskin star in the past decade.

Man after Willow and Top Gun, my man-crush with Mr. Kilmer violently ended when he started releasing loads of straight-to-video crap and getting political.

Sam Neill was in Daybreakers (which I didn't think was terrible, just not a big hit) and voiced one of the owls in that really odd Owl 300 kids movie. :D

Nah. Val did Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, one of his most well known films, after Red Planet.

I hear Kiss Bang Bang did not very well at the box office. I remember he was very popular when he star in Batman Forever back in 1995. I still wonder what happen John Rhys-Davies? Could be that In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale (2008) damage his career, he is just doing shitty Anaconda movies now.

You should watch KKBB. That is my favorite Val Kilmer movie. And the reason it didn't do well, wasn't because it sucked, it was actually pretty awesome, but because the distributors failed to well, distribute.  It's maximum theater count in the U.S was like 600.

One of the best films of the last 10 years in my opinion. Razor sharp dialogue and very, very funny with career best performances from both Val Kilmer and Robert Downey JR. One of the most overlooked films ever. f**king fantastic and its sure to end up as cult favourite in 20 years time.

AvP:R killed the career of everyone in it before they'd even started. Your average SyFy flick has better acting than that.

Not true... the lil girls dad, which i don't know his name, that gets killed in her bedroom by the Alien jumping trough the window well he is a big part of True Blood on HBO which is a big ass hit.

Did anybody mention how Freaks ruined Tod Browning?

I think Mortal Kombat: Annihilation was the final nail in the coffin for everyone's career expect for James Remar.

Gigli-damn near made Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez radioactive. Although both are making comebacks, Affleck as a director, and Lopez on American Idol.

Chris O'Donnell - Batman & Robin (1997)
He's had a pretty damn good TV career.

QuoteLance Henriksen - Alien vs. Predator (2004)
Whut? The guy's still doing exactly what he's been doing for decades; cameos and walk-on parts in terrible monster movies. That's what Henrikson does.

I am disappoint that no-one's mentioned Freaks ruining Tod Browning's career, seeing as it's a genuine case of someone's career being completely destroyed by one film. He went from making two movies a year most years to four movies over seven years -- two of which he was uncredited for. The reception to that film was so negative no-one was willing to hire the man.
Good movies can ruin careers too. Same thing happened with Peeping Tom director Michael Powell. Sometimes something ahead of its time will do that. both Freaks and Peeping Tom were ahead of their times.

Freaks is one of the most incredible movies ever made!  It's a shame that happened, I didn't know that.  It's not hard to guess that the public was probably revolted at the sight of the actual circus performers used, especially in such a standard romance-style plot.  Poo on them.
