If I'm being genuine here, if he somehow got the reins for another Aliens project, I'd be less than amused but in the end I'd probably buy it because that's the kind of Alien fan I am. I've bought enough stuff that's *way* worse than Colonial Marines, and I got enough genuine enjoyment out of Colonial Marines, that if I kept my expectations rock-bottom I'd probably have fun with Colonial Marines 2. And there's a ton of fans, casual or otherwise, who will flock like a moth to the flame whether they choose to publicly acknowledge it or not. Colonial Marines was still a financial success.
And that's what happens with, like, any AAA video game release. I can't think of the last time a AAA game did poorly unless it *REALLY* f**ked up and screwed its player base.
