Need help creating a skin!

Okay, I have the bmp. form (ripped right from the DTX file and edited by me) for a standard pred skin... now how do I get it back into dtx. file? And after that I just use like... WinRez to put it into rez. format right? It's my first time modding the game, and I don't want to screw it up!

convert your bmp file on .pcx file
then run dedit for talon (or litech 2 different version)
open textures folder
make a new directory
right click on the window which is under the directory
Import pcx file
import the file
double clock on the texture
compress 8bts
then run on your alien versus predator 2 directory and then AVP2
then the directory where is your skin
