There’s also a ten-minute video in the Demo Reels section which you can download here (149MB). The first few minutes show various scenes from AvPR which are blended with green screens or pre-visual animations. The rest of the video deals with other movies such as 300, The Day After Tomorrow, X3, and Fantastic Four 2.

Why on earth would they show off more of their AVP-R movie, it's embarrassing. I thought they moved on from that   ::)  

You should check out the video. The thing has been brightened up and shows what the movie should have been like on the DVD.

ugh, its just awful. the BS should stick with effects.

I just saw the clip and it just pisses me off even more! Because everything looks way better now. Why the hell didn't the movie look like this before?! Could you imagine watching this movie now on blu-ray? It would be awesome, everything would be clear and sharp and bright. Gessshh, talk about really messing up, they should have released the movie like this, it would have been MUCH better and lots less people would have bitched about it.  It only goes to show that releasing a better version of the movie under the right lighting conditions would be worth it. I'd be the first one to buy AVP-R on blu-ray again if I knew the movie had the right color grading this time.

What I don't understand is that all their music videos are pure eye candy, filled with fantastic visuals. But god forbid AVP-R gets the same treatment!   ::)  

Yep, the contrast level and general brightness/colours were perfect on this video.

later on down the road i'm sure a 'revised edition' will come out with the correct color images

wtF? i cant see the video for some reason wont play on WM11 , says cant take codec or something and winamp plays the song and sounds, but not the video  anyhelp?

its a lot clearer here.. not so much in the shadows like in the movie... did you noticed it??

darkhisharu you need to run the video in the Quicktime player.

Also, did anyone else notice how the Predator-whips-Alien-in-half scene is edited differently and more smoothly here? You see the alien a tiny bit longer beforehand as the whip takes hold, and no jumpy edits back and forth like we've seen previously.

also the part where wolf get its the leg harmed...  i took me like 4 times watching the movie to figure it out... XDD jajaja... and here ir clear as rain.

God forbid the dvd and blu-ray become clear as rain   ::)  

wait the blu-ray edition of avp-r is fixed? (brighter and not as dark)if not ill just stick with editing my dvd version of it to b brighter ^.^

at 1:27 in the vid,It's like a joke almost,I cant believe how clear that is compared to the actual thing

I still don't get why the 2007 predator face looks fake and the 1987 last minute made face looks great? Oh wait I'll tell you why, because Stan winston made the 1987 one!! Those little pits in the mask and metal make it look less like metal, everything about the preds in both AVP films looks sooo fibreglass/plastic. You can just see that there is no weight to any of the masks in the avp movies. Why don't they just make the mask out of metal???

ya know, Aliens was not the brightest movie either when u compare it in that aspect to Aliens you see thats probably why they made it dark like they did as well as trying to mask any flaws in the costumes since they had to make due with a lower end budget. stop being so emo.

Alien Vs Predator 2004 was sooooo much better!    ::)  

they should release a new directors cut, extended edition on blu-ray and DVD with the brighter contrast! and a slightly different soundtrack! and more darker, better, raw cover! with the 'alien ariel' font wack in some good special features! and a great case! and it will sell!   It will make this bad movie a little better! I dont hate the brothers strause! they did what they could with the budget, script, crew, and restrictions etc....so when avp war (avp 3) gets made (if it gets made) i dont mind the brothers doin the next movie! but fox need sort there act out     :)  

Screw Fox - I'm not forking out more money to buy another dvd edition when they should've fixed it for the current version.    ::)  

You gotta laugh at the fact that they decided to show the brightened version of the film on their own website and not the dark, murky, retarded looking version from the DVD lol.  What abunch of f---king pigs   ::)

I watched the vid and I love the different skulls on the trophy wall,and there's at least 1 queen skull that's above all the other trophies.And I like the xenomorph skull's,they look like those from the previous movies,but they're different enough to tell that they're a different kind of hybrid!.And I think I saw some of the other skull's in P2 and other FOX film's,but I'm unsure.Did anybody else notice them?.Also for me the vid was as bright as when I saw it at the theater.  @ Too cool for skool & psy_coma77 I totaly agree   ;)  .

maby we'll get a brightend version of the dvd once avp 3 comes out.    8)  

that is the best avp movie i ever seen. my to favorite movies is aliens and avpr. dont care wat yall think. the directors might have been bad but if it were james cameron you would think differently.
