I remember perfectly Neca posted sometime ago in its facebook account they would probably release the predators from the first AvP film if there´re no plans for another Predator movie; yes, both AvP films suck balls but in terms of design the Predators were terrific but my question is if Neca could overpass the excellent job by McFarlane, perhaps the best Predator figures released in 8" scale.
I would definitely buy a Celtic and Scar figures. Aw who am I kidding, I'll buy them all. I really hope they re-do Wolf as well.

I dont care that much for Scar, my favorites are Celtic (his mask is awesome) and Chopper (with those cool skulls in the back) 8)
But, like you said, i'll buy them all, Celtic, Scar, Chopper, Elder... and even the Ancient predators from the flashback scene ;D
I'd definitely get the main three, but would like to get some of the ancient ones if funds permit. The mask designs one two of them were pretty cool. One was too much like Scar to me. But it would definitely be nice to finally have a Chopper who is bigger than 4 inches.
i'll but all, not variants, but one of each, masked scar. this will fullfill my goal of having every pred from every movie on my shelf. next goal is all aliens, tho there are some i doubt neca ever do...like the res and avp queens, and the newborn. i hope they at least do the avp aliens and grid, but honestly, the avp queen is awesome!

So, there's a chance of having these figures after all. Hope they include Ancient Predators as well. I'm not against variants, especially the cloaked trio from Avp. So many stuff to buy, i'll be broke, i'll starve to death but will get them no matter what.
I'd love a nice, accurate Scar and Celtic. AvP was mediocre but they were both pretty cool preds imo. Chopper, well, he was a dumbass. lol
The design of AvP Predators may not have worked well for AvP but they will make for some great figures because in the movie, well they looked like action figures.

Indeed. But I can't think of anybody who would be enthusiastic about making figures of the AvP Predators, given that the look of the AvP Predators wasn't popular with the fanbase.

i would buy the avp preds for sure if done in 1/4, but in 7 inch scale i will only get the faves of the lost preds as funds are limited and have to prioritise

If it´s a new mold with improved articulation and sculpt then I think it´s not necessary bullshit; I like the Wolf mold even it´s a little difficult to stand. The only thing that really needs an improve is the spear: it does look like more a stick than a deadly spear.

Yep, back in the day (when there were NO Alien/Predator toys), the Kenner stuff was amazing.
I understand that forum members love the Kenner toys but I didn't grow up with the toyline therefore I do not share the same nostalgia.

I think there is a big chance that the Cracked Tusk pred will be done, look at his helmet, it looks a lot like the tracker predator one....
Heh...I was 16 when the Kenner toys were on the pegs, and bought every damn one of them. It was the best Predator and Alien figures at the time.

I would love to see the kenner line redone with all the detail and articulation NECA bringsyou the Predator and Aliens line both offer a multitude of designs right off the bat and would keep them going for quite awhile just picked up the Nightstorm Predator mint on card, would like to see him and the rest redone properly. What do you mean by "should have been"? The adult Alien we saw in 'Alien3' was actually designed and filmed with the intention of it being the "ox alien", only after they'd filmed all the adult Alien scenes did they change up the host to be the dog.

Personally I think it's too tall. Kevin Peter Hall was an inch taller than Ian Whyte. Randy can be a bit stubborn when it comes to criticism on Twitter, saying real life heights are irrelevant, and telling people commenting on it that "If you don't like it, don't buy it." If you compare the Predators to human characters on screen though, they should be the same height. Call me nit-picky, but NECA has always prided itself on screen accuracy.

It's doubtful but maybe the bigger size has something to do with the new body?

Yeah based on that prototype photo, it's definitely too tall.
The prototype is built at 105% because there is shrinkage when it gets to production.
Based on that photo, the difference in size seems larger than 5%. Also, I'm not sure is a matter of perspective but I also think the head is too small compared to the body. It's just me or they changed the initial sculpt to more beefier bodies as most people suggested?
Just one question, are the new AVP predators in scale with 6-9 inch ones or are they 1/4 scale?

I have to say, they look better than their movie counterparts.
The skin tone looks much better. As does the body shape.
Aside from the bulk in the film I always thought the Predator designs where great. These guys look great too, I just wish Scar had been masked as opposed to unmasked, oh well. I'll definitely be grabbing up series 14.

Latest look at NECA's series 14/AvP Predators. Looking really good!
They generally look all right but I still think the gauntlets and the shin guards are over-sized. I would have preferred to get masked scar in this wave.
Very pleased with the NECA lineup overall. I only collect the Alien and Predator figures but even their other stuff looks great too. The Predators look better than any other rendition I've seen of them and we all know these will be affordable for the "average" collector (aka the ones who have other responsibilities in their lives besides buying NECA lol).
Looks like they've already got the Alien vs. Predator Alien parts sculpted already too.
Considering that my fellow co-workers at Toys R Us now know I am a collector, I think my future purchase is secured! :D

That's really cool how your dad could do that for you. I used to work at an FYE and I made all kinds of special orders for Gundam DVD sets (Anime Legends) for MSRP and Alien/Predator soundtracks, whatever was available. I definitely count those times as advantageous and looking back, the only real benefit to working there.
I have heard of such things, some people just being downright deceitful and sketchy. They get what they deserve in the end. I wish people didn't resort to such things, since it ruins their lives as well as puts a burden on the regular people who don't do such foolish things.

That is a long wait. However with NECA, things are pretty delayed all the damn time. Whenever they give a release date for something, one way or another, it's pushed back somehow.

Honestly, we will get them in due time and the wait does not curb my enthusiasm at all. Rushing only causes errors in my experience.

My budget for this year is almost zero; delays are very convenient for me, also I prerfer a delayed figure but perfect in terms of details than a figure released in a rush but with lot of imperfections, so this delay for me it´s great.

I also heard that but who knows? At the beginning Sigourney Weaver never licensed her likeness but at the end changed of mind.
At this point I'd say our best bet for more marines is the AVP 2010 game, which is fine by me.

Looking at these new images, I can't believe there were people on Twitter actually being upset that they didn't look like the movie. Now, I enjoyed AVP for the longest time, but I did eventually realize that the Predators were sized wrong, and Scar looked too friendly. Now the error has been fixed, and they look like more legit Predators. Scar has never looked better.
The fact that Fox authorized this speaks volumes too.

They are removable. They're glued but with very careful work with you are able to detach them without damage.
So series 14 is on both NECA's Amazon and EBay store. Who has already bought a set?

hey guys. we all already know that NECA will release the AVP predator series 14 and 15, that include Scar ,Celtic, Chopper, but we know that Scar will have a 2 different version the unmasked and the masked version, i need an opinion ..what you guys think, what is the best version to picked up? the mask version or the unmasked version of Scar?
I prefer the masked version myself.
They're the same figure, accessories and all. Just a question if you like your Predator masked, or unmasked. I intend t get both.

yeah, it's basically the same figure with different head, well it's really hard to choose..but why NECA just not include the masked head on accesories so we can swap the head. why they releasing two same figure with same accesories but it just different head..they should include the masked and unmasked head in one figure like SH MONSTERART done with wolf predator.

NECA said in due time for an Ultimate Jungle Hunter. I'm hoping they do City Hunter and Elder Predator from P2 as well.

I'm surprised they kept the horns. NECA is always about accuracy, and while it is accurate, I figured they would omitt the horns, for being sort of over the top.

Either they'll explain the horns as being implants, or a mutation, or that Nightstalker is some sort of hybrid with some other alien or being.
Implants make sense though. I know people who have had actual piercings or horns implanted.

I ordered mine from BBTS, they should have gotten them in November but the figures got delayed and they just got them a few days ago. Maybe Toy Wiz will get them soon.
Opened my Celtic Predator yesterday. Love it, these new bodies are awesome. Just placed an order for Chopper and Scar, can't wait for series 15.

Yes it was at TRU. My local one has almost nothing in stock but I got super lucky the last couple weeks. Got both Alien Series 6 + Predator series 14 at a proper price. I need to go back to check if they still have a Celtic missing the shuriken in the package and get that discounted too lol.

My store is getting shipments in again but I haven't seen anything new from NECA aside from the ALIENS Ripley figure, and Alien Isolation figures (I am NOT buying those!) and there is nothing in regards to Predator or AVP. Actually was on the peg where the rest of them were. I just pointed it out and asked what he would do for me. Also helped we were talking about Star Wars before so maybe that softened him up a little lol.
Couldn't get the Celtic btw. I went back and nothing was left except the other 2 Amanda's I didn't buy. I kid you not. I saw in my 2 seperate stops 8 figures of Aliens Series 6, and 8-9 AvP Preds. 2 of each Amanda plus 4 stompys, 2-3 each Predator. I purchased one each plus 2 stompy, one of each pred plus the damaged Chopper. Go back to find only 2 Amanda's remain (the ones I didn't buy) so I bought the jumpsuit to open lol).
I certainly hope you can chase down the vendor when they arrive and get some answers. Seems like the store near me never knows anything. I did send them a carefully worded feedback survey describing my dismay of their selection and stupid ordering. If they bought more NECA Alien/Predator, they would make more money, guaranteed.
I was about to buy one of the NECA AVP Predators but I saw that the wiring which connects to their masks seems to be... loose or removed from the slots which they're supposed to be in. Like you can put the wiring back into a little hole somewhere behind the dreads or something, right?
Yeah the backpack has two little.holes the wires can plug into. Not a tight fit though, a few turns of the head and they will come out. I just tuck them behind the dreads, they disappear quite well behind them.
I actually removed the wires from my Celtic...
They don't even bother me but slipping them away in the dreads seems like the best plan.

Oh god f**king damnit, I hate it when NECA pulls this shit. I really wish they'd release the "good" versions the first time around, rather than milking fans/suckers on the initial releases and then doing revised/improved versions down the line and asking collectors to potentially re-buy
over half their Predator collection.
I don't mind re-buying the occasional NECA re-release like their "ultimate" T-1000 because it's a drastic improvement and comes with a huge number of customization options and accessories, or their "revised" versions of old McFarlane figures like the AvP line because they're huge improvements in every regard and it's been nearly 15 years since the McF stuff came out. But the Lost Predators aren't even 5 years old yet.
Xenomorph, I understand that frustration. But, I lost that frustration when I realized 2 things:
1. For every one of us that have been collecting and have the first release, there's someone who is just getting started and get to buy these for the right price without feeding the scalpers.
2. Chest articulation is gonna be a hard sell without the AVP armor to hide it....at lease for me.

It's abit irritating yes, but it working business wise. I'm going to buy Ultimate versions of P1 and P2. Still we can expect re-editions with even better base models in future when our figures are damaged.
It can only be expected as technology and methods improve. People would only be complaining about the shit old ones otherwise.
I missed all of the lost tribe predators except for Gort and Stalker so I am more than open to Neca re-releasing them with better bodies.
Perhaps it´s a cheap way to get more money from avid collectors but for me that´s some great news; two years ago I have to sell my entire collection but currently I recover them except for the scout predator and jeez the prices has rocketed to Alpha Centaur, so for me it´s sweet news :) Finally I could get back the scout predator figure.

I feel the same way. I will finally get Scout and Snake I missed the first time around, perhaps a few doubles if they're really improved.
I hope they would be in scale with the old molds. I´m not in the mood to get the entire tribe again.
The only one I would buy with a new updated body is the battle armor lost Predator.
1st releases should hold most of their value. Only people looking to buy the new ones to open will affect the value, as many of us have unopened collections. The prices should reflect the rarity of the figure. So while Lost, Scout and Warrior may be the most expensive of the LT Preds (original releases), the prices should come down a little bit as new versions will flood the market and people will be trying to sell the old ones.

Can anyone tell me if the details between the AvP trio are very different? Part of me would love to have all three of the Preds from AvP, but with the bodymolds being similair, are the details enough to make it worth getting all three?
For starters they have different masks, Chopper comes with those badass skulls, and their armors are different.
Scar has nearly full body armor while Celtic is missing the armor part covering it's belly. Also Scar's leg armor consists of two parts, meaning it has it on both legs. Celtic has the same armor on one leg while Chopper has none. Other than that the trio is identical. But believe together they look great if money is no object.
Yeah, the masks I could see, and some differences between armour. But the smaller pictures I found were not that great for comparing. But in terms of body itself, they have the exact same colors?

75 euros for three action figures is a big deal for me, not because I don't have that money, but because I don't collect actionfigures. I do love Alien and Predator. I don't know much about Broken Tusk, but he's pretty much a major fan favorite from the expanded universe right? More than enough reason to keep his existence on the DL.
Makes sense, since Neca showed us a glimpse of him along other predators. It would surprise me if it isn't him but some other predator. Now that would be a real deal. Though I hardly believe that.

I have a habit of army building...or in this case clan building, and I'd love to have a group of predators with different masks all sporting that armor.
For those who were at ComicCon, the new Ancient Predator from AvP, how is it up close? And was there any news on when it will be released?
Word at the moment is October, but that could change as it gets closer.
Also, did the AVP Elder ever have a mask (whether it appeared on-screen or not)? Or is that particular element a NECA design? Either way this is the first time I've seen it, and it looks pretty good.

Currently digging through some old stuff, found my old Mcfarlane Alien vs Predator set (one with the eggs). Unfortunately, Predator's wrist blades are broken, the battery to light up the Aliens egg's have corrosion, and the Alien's tali just broke off.
Saw that they are releasing Scarface Predator, so, i'm looking at creating a new piece/set. I already picked up Neca's glow in the dark eggs, now I just need an Alien and Predator. Just sitting here waiting for Scarface though... ugh.

AVP2010 is full of great stuff. It's full of great Predator masks, marines and aliens.
Other Predators I can think would be awesome to see would be Spartan and Rogue. Besides them you have great options for marines like Tequila, Van Zandt, The Rookie and Kaneko. I'd love to see six, the predalien and the praetorian if they continue with the line.
I love that NECA are now doing the 2010 Predators. I really hope they continue to do this. Wanna see those AvP2 Predators too!

Oh man the City Hunter looks sweet! Out of all of the preds in the films he is my all time favorite! And his arsenal of weaponry, ah man, he is just too cool.

I doubt it. The main reason they're doing the Predators is because they can reuse at least 80% of the elements from their AVP sculpts. An AVP (2010) Alien would require a whole new sculpt, which they probably wouldn't devote to something that niche.
I wasn't really a fan of the multiplayer Predator designs/masks from AVP 2010 to be honest, besides the ones from the films and the Serpent Hunter. But I imagine they'll all be pretty easy to do (the most elaborate one would probably be Lord, though I imagine they could re-purpose the AVP Elder mask for that), so chances are we'll see all of them eventually.
Also, that skull throne will apparently be available to buy in "spring 2017".

Super excited about all the Pred reveals from NYCC. Definitely getting Series 16 (except the GITD Stalker), Series 17, and UCH. Very interested in that throne too. Can't wait.

ESPECIALLY when it comes to videogames. I think I've played the predator campaign alone, in AVP 2010, about a 100 times. Or like in the Batman Arkham games. Nothing gives me more joy and pleasure in a videogame, then observing heavily armed dudes from atop, planning my tactic, setting up traps with fancy gadgets and then silently picking them off, one by one ;D

Being as I just jumped on board the NECA AVP wagon 2 weeks ago, I'm stoked that I can buy figs that came out yrs ago , but were not as good & lacked articulation. I'm a stickler for articulation as I like posing my figs for cool action & battle scenes, not just keeping them on a shelf like a statue.
I loved the Predator accessory pack that came with the skinned human, bought 2 sets. I wonder if NECA would ever do an Alien accessory pack consisting of a few human sacrifice figs with chest busted open? I figure 3 in a case, 2 males & a female.
I know it'll never happen but from Predator 2, it would be cool to get Harrigan, Jerry & King Willie, he could also come with a decapitated head for the city hunter to carry.

I'm a little on the fence about the pillar diorama. Not because it's a bad piece (I'm sure I'll end up buying it since I missed out on the trophy wall) but because I would be WAY to tempted to try and make that room from AVP2010's multiplayer map of the pyramid. The room with the stairs leading up to the landing where the marines would hold up in during game modes like infection (good times).

This happens all the time with NECA's Predators. They usually stay in stock at MSRP for 4-6 months, then they're gone, or people raise the price by 10 bucks.

Easily. There's no other toy company pushing out the products and the video game world has dozens and dozens of models to pick from (and no official human likeness rights required! just FOX and/or game studio approval).
Just opened up my Christmas present of Masked Scar. Bloody hell it's got such great detail, not entirely sure where the shuriken is supposed to go but it'll look great on display with Chopper and Celtic still to come.

All the AvP Predators come with "optional" accessories that can't be stored on the figure but give you options for posing and display, and they're interchangeable with each other. The shuriken is there so you can have him hold it if you want, otherwise (just like his alternate hands) he doesn't have a place to store it. Likewise, Chopper comes with like 3 sets of arm-blades at varying lengths.

Have you picked up any of the Kenner Aliens or Preds yet? They're awesome. I'd say my favorite Alien so far is the Mantis (which really surprised me, as the Mantis wasn't one of my favorite Kenner toy) and my favorite Predator is Spiked Tail.
I've got the Kenner Alien vs. Predator boxset. I'm waiting for the Aliens to make it over here. I don't buy a lot of Predators tbh because there's just so many and I've not got the storage for it.

I know what you mean, the AVP predators, the most recent Kenner wave and Scarface take up two of the shelves I have. I don't even have the older predators I have on display in the same shelf anymore.

Might I recommend using tacks and pinning them to the walls? Has worked for me since Series 1 of both lines.
