There’s a new article in Scotland’s Daily Star newspaper who spoke to Scottish actress Kate Dickie. For a small article, it actually reveals quite a lot of stuff about her character and the film’s story. Here’s the main points and you can find the scan of the newspaper below.
- For starters, it mentions that her character lasts 28 minutes in the film before an alien eats her.
- The aliens actually chase the characters through the halls of the Prometheus ship.
- Her character is called Mudow and she helps the crew become acclimated to their removal from cryo-sleep.
- After apparently five years in hypersleep, she helps the crew get fit only for the crew to fall victim to creatures stalking them for food.
Thanks to Martin for the scan.

Thats real fast!
Or this movie will be very short i mean already running through the ship with them badass jockeys behind you within 28 minutes.
I really cannot make a story of this i would expected that we will get to know the crew and stuff and see a lot before the eating begins.
Hmm. Exciting!
28 minutes into it she's Alien meat huh? Sounds like a pretty approximate number. What are the very slim chances she has seen a cut of the film. Aliens chasing people through the halls sounds a little Alien 3-ish. Makes me wonder how it will be handled.
Actually, I think that's from when her character first appears in the film so it won't necessary be from the moment the film starts. It could be a lot later than 30mins before this happens.
This reminds me of Alien: Resurrection.

Yeah, but her job is to help re-aclimate the crew from cryo-sleep...this has to happen in the beginning of the film.
Or maybe her character has approximately 28 minutes of screen time before she gets killed?
Either way, this still reminds me of Alien: Resurrection.
What I wonder now, is what FOX thinks of that article. It´s the first time that definitely skeleton creatures, or monsters (PLURAL!!) are mentioned and that they kill the crew.
That's some majorly spoiler material....and I wonder if it's a part of the larger campaign of misinformation?
It's all very intriguing....the beans begin to spill
Skeletal eh...
hmmmm

It's worth keeping in mind how off the mark a lot of newspaper reports are when it comes to this sort of thing. A number of supposed exclusives to do with '
Doctor Who' come to mind... You'd be surprised at how many of these reports are almost purely the result of one of their journalists skimming forums like this and just cobbling together a few basic suppositions.
Unless it's in the form of a direct quote, treat all of the alleged facts as guesses. The 'skeletal alien monstrosities' thing is most likely just the reporter remembering Giger's original design. Looks like the actor just told them her character's name/purpose and they had some space on the resulting article to fill.

There's the 15 minute flashback sequence which is rumoured to take place before we even see the characters. Though I still think that will take place somewhere in the middle of the movie.

Aye apparently its meant to be 2001 style and show the Jockeys doing something with early humanity.
On a side note the Daily Star is not a source of reputable journalism, just good for wrapping take away food.
What if the film starts...then prologue...earth scenes....discovery scenes....about a 30 minutes passes then hypersleep then after 28 minutes later "aliens" appear.
Pretty funny article.
Basically the writer pulled this information out of the fake Prometheus synopsis thats been floating around for months. The character name "Mudow", and five years of cryo-sleep were taken from the fake fan fiction. The only quotes from Kate have nothing to do with the movie. Who even knows how legit the 28 minute comment is.
1: its the daily star ffs
2: every alien movie features running from creatures in tunnels........ Not just the 4th one..... The trailer for alien was ripley running around tunnels..........from a monster ffs , have any of you actually seen an alien movie lol
:)
The only thing that we know is true is that Morrisons has Lynx on offer.

Not true. There could be a whole hour of the film that takes place on Earth. She may only be in parts of the film that take place in space.
I am going for the 28mins of screentime until she gets killed.
How does Prometheus come off like Alien Resurrection? I need that one explained to me.
According to IMDB Kate Dickie character name is Imora, Mudow is from "Robotpo" fanfic.
its bullshit made up tosh. u think she,s stupid enough to break the nda in her contract and be back logged to z list films for the rest of her career

Maybe, but it's highly likely now that she does die at the beginning of the film, and it didn't stop anyone slapping it on the front page before we found out it might be bogus.
May need to skip front page all together now...
This is the same paper that stated absolutely, 100% guaranteed, exclusively that Eve Myles would replace Billie Piper as the 10th Doctors companion in 'Doctor Who'. Turned out they had heard she was being cast in a Russell T Davies series (Torchwood) and made the rest of the story up to fit their preconceived ideas.
I would be amazed if the same hasnt happened here. They have heard this particular actress was cast, she's probably said in passing she's only in the film for half an hour and then they have made the rest up to match with what they expect an 'Alien' related film to be like.

Maybe we are giving this movie too much credit already and will this movie be an action paced movie what will only last for an hour and a half.
Why would they make it up? They've clearly spoken to her and the 28 minutes thing is pretty specific.
I really don't mean to be that guy but I would of really appreciated a spoiler warning since the article is clearly dealing with specifics for character deaths.
And yeah, The Daily Star really is a rag of a newspaper.

As referred to earlier, they've had an amazingly bad track record when it comes to predictions for this sort of thing and, in particular, '
Doctor Who'. :) It's usually something they've either picked up from trawling forums for speculation or an off-hand quote spoken in jest which they interpret literally and claim it's exclusive.
That already seems to be the case with the character name they quote.
Take everything in this with a huge pinch of salt, unless a direct quote.
I also doubt the actress would be allowed to say such a thing or, more importantly, would be
able to: She wouldn't have seen the final cut yet and wouldn't know how long the edited scenes are.

You'd have to ask yourself how she would know that though?
Unless her wages are paid by the minute.
They used Dan Luvisi's fan-art in their article. They did their Prometheus research, obviously ...
They couldn't even get the character name correct, so the 28 mins might also just have been pulled out of thin air. I have my doubts they even talked to her. Those quotes could have been made at anytime to anyone and they just reused them.
Hang on, isn't the Star the one with all the tits? I've not been back to Scotland in a couple of years (I'm Scottish and live in Australia).
I'm sure it's the titty paper. Nothing inside is real.

Yeah, why would an unreliable British tabloid, read by uneducated morons make something up?! You'd almost think that they were purposefully leaving all journalistic integrity at the door in order to try and sell more papers or something.
Darkness, either you're not British or you're extremely naive? I'm guessing it's primarily the former, with a touch of the latter.
I really don't think that this article should have been posted on the main page of this site, at least not without a disclaimer of bullsh*t! It's the Daily Star for fu*ks sake!

It's not exactly a huge spoiler. We know most of the characters will die and we know there will be other creatures in it too.

I wouldn't wipe my arse with the Star. It's used for wrapping fish and chip suppers in no-class schemes. It's also nice for lining litter trays. Along with The Sun, they're just the yellowest of the yellow 'journalists'.

True, but unchecked specifics like the exact run time a person has on screen can really ruin the tension. However, thanks for looking into installing some spoiler tag for news!

100 milion dollar investment this movie will be action packed and must bring money too Fox it wont be a lot for the fans.
There will be stuff in it we will not like and the bigger audience will.
Because of that little c**t Damon Lindelof.
At first i thought we will see something special but knowing the woman dies in the first 28 minutes.
We are overrating this movie way beyond.

IF this is real, and I mean IF, then I think you are looking at the quote kind of wrong. They say she dies 28 minutes after being in the movie. This could mean it is an hour into the movie. She could show up at the 32 minute mark who knows. Remember we are going to see stuff on earth also. Like how they find the idea of going to see the SJ's in the first place, and possibly even early events in earths history. I dont think 28 minutes after the movie she just dies. When in fact I think they will probably be just getting on there way on the journey or be in the middle of it.
As far as her name goes, no one knows what character is playing what character until the actual movie gets reviewed. The only people we know for certain or who is the ones that Lindelof and Scott and the actual actors have been interviewed on film saying they play whoever. The main characters or pretty much certain. Anyone else is just speculation and IMDB is not the greatest place for any information seriously you all. Her name could possibly be what she says in this interview. I wish people would quit using IMDB as a damn bible, the only time that site is any good is after a movie is already out and the information is then fact and known by almost everyone.
As far as the Vicious skeletal monster"s", They might know something that we dont. And I think that would be pretty awesome if this was the fact. But then again I really dont think that she would be making comments to a reporter telling them the story about the movie especially when she is bound to secrecy with her contract you know. Remember how Fassbender was so mysterious about what he was saying about the script about how great it was and all that without getting into any specific details. Yeah I dont believe an actor that wants to keep working on movies would be this naive or stupid to jeopardize their careers and not to mention lawsuit wise you know... Anthony

In real time, but movie time can be anything. 28 minutes is nearly 1/4 of a 2 hour movie, assuming a standard run length.

Yeah but how would she know which scenes make it to the final cut? She's most certainly going by the script, in which we can assume she dies on page 28(1pg/minute).
Hell, a lot of main characters in movies only have about half an hour of screen time. Face it guys, the audience of today wouldn't be able to handle the slow-burn of Alien, she bites it 28 minutes in.
Actors are given their scenes...and it's safe to assume, the entirety of this woman's work is 28 minutes...NOT at page 28...that doesn't even make chronological sense from a filmmakers perspective.
Each page of script typically equals to a minute of screen time.
28 minutes = 28 pages of dialogue and/or total screen time.
NOT page 28 ;)
