Proxy. Hud is one of the last things to be added. So they would have came up with smthing adequate.

Beside, that this movie doesn´t make me hype, I still mourn the fact, that we don´t get a RPG.

The only thing I didn't like, that we've seen, are some of the renders of the actual in game Aliens, which IMO look god awful.
