I like to think that the ''other creature'' and the Predator stumbled across each other for the same hunt. Who ever killed Blain first would settle their hunting ground dispute.

Well, Blaine didn't really have time to bleed.

Always looked like something fleshy to me when it was slowed down.

Jean claude van damme couldn't go through with it because the suit was so uncomfortable and stupid looking.

Imagine a world where they persevered with that.

It can be Blain's claim to fame that he was actually murdered by two different aliens. An intergalactic super hunter and, well, JCVD prancing around in a red suit  ;D

That's a good explanation from SiL. I always thought the red substance was Blain's blood after being hit with the plasma caster, but didn't see or hear it until the 2nd shot.

Thank you! The post by SiL stating that it was originally written as Blain being hit *twice* explains it all.

I'm pretty sure it's just Blain getting shot.

Prior to Blain being killed by the Plasma Cannon shot, he seems to be stunned by a red substance...what is that? I never figured out what that is and figured it was some stunning weapon that Jungle Hunter uses to immobilize his prey prior to shooting the death blow. Any insight out there on that?
