This game truly could make a great movie if done right. I'd change a few details though.

For starters, I'd make both Scarface and Hunter Borgia women. Assuming female predators haven't already been introduced to the world by then (or any previous Predators revealed to be female), then Scarface should be the first ever female Predator to grace the screen. The story would remain largely the same otherwise.

Both Scarface and Isabella Borgia could take turns narating the story.

Those three ronins would be killed by Scarface. Perhaps she/he/it could take one of these assholes' swords.

Since this is a movie, it can't be limited to Scarface slaughtering people, so you'd have more scenes fleshing out some of the characters, such as Hunter, Lucretia and Bruno.

At the end, when Hunter is beaten he/she will activate the self destruct sequence and laugh maniacally, followed by Scarface destroying the gauntlet with his/her/it's wristblades, or cutting Hunter's arm.

1. Female Yautja don't hunt that often.
2. You do realize the females are much larger than the males, right?
3. See, changing or deviating from the original plot of a game is what messes up the movie aspect of it.
4. So, in the end, a movie adaptation of this game, following your ideas, would most definately suck.

Everything you've said about female Predators is purely bullshit from the comics, and not validated by the movies in any way. Because the comics aren't canon (nor are the games), you don't have to be faithful to them. Don't mind the females being larger though.

Personally I'd rather not see a movie based on it. I've always hated the "eternal life" from drinking predators blood. It's too fantasy for Predator and just doesn't belong.

I was going to say stuff... but... that pretty much sums most of it up.

I found the game itself thoroughly enjoyable. Not so much enjoying the idea of a movie based on it, especially considering there wasn't a single sympathetic human character in the game that I can recall.

Likeable human characters are not a necessity, but I'd say Lucretia was the closest to a "point of view" character. Thing is, you could make up new sympathetic human characters for a movie adaptation, but I'd rather they don't, unless such characters did not steal Scarface's spotlight.

In light of the bolded statement, I'm going to keep my mouth shut to avoid having the same conversation we've had many times.

Fine with me. But what about some of my other ideas, like the gender switch of Scarface and Hunter Borgia, or making up new sympathetic human characters?

While no one has said anything on this yet, I'll still clarify this: there are women named Hunter, including a famous one.

The Aliens could also be replaced in their part of their story. I actually liked their presence, but there were so many "Alien" things missing, such as facehuggers, a Queen (either as a boss fight, or merely a cameo), chestbursters etc. my point being, that in P:CJ's story, they were for the most part interchangeable. If they did appear in a movie adaptation though, one PredAlien or more would be welcomed. And no, they wouldn't barf embryos down anyone's throat, so spare me a panic attack.

The very idea of someone trying to put female Predators onscreen frightens me. This is modern Hollywood we're talking about, and before they make it through the first draft of the script someone's gonna come out and say "Hey, give it tits."

Basically, I think we'd get this:

That, I think would pretty much be a necessity. Some sort of third party protagonist, who is maybe trying to track down Scarface, and basically follows him/her right into the action and the plot.

The Alien sequence should more or less be omitted in my opinion. While it was a great little nerd-tastic "Holy shit, that was genuinely surprising, they're f**king Aliens" moment in the game, I think it would be straying a bit far off course and be too much of a distraction for a film.

I still can't see myself getting past the more ridiculous plot points and accepting the story adapted to a film. The reigns would have to be pulled waaaaay back.

The story for that game was a total abomination, it has no place on celluloid.

Come on, giant robots, luchadores, samurais in ghost paint, human/Predator hybrids...ex-porn star hookers? No f**king way would that turn out well.

The story for concrete jungle was arse. One thing that would work from it was the intro. A predator movie set in the 1930s (from a human perspective of course.) would be good though.

I think if you sliced out the alien references and went with the general concept, it could work. A predator on a hunt in the 1930's fails horrifically, and generations later is called upon to retrieve something that has changed the course of human development. Something similar to Blade Runner with a Predator in it would be very cool.

When I was playing this game for the first time back in 2006, I always imagined a potential adaption of this game. But it's five years now and while I feel that there are some incredible ideas to in the game, a movie adaption won't do justice to the Predator franchise.

This game has a lot of potential but I've always felt that the limitations sixth generations of consoles didn't really do the game justice. So I was thinking that perhaps that they should make a reboot of this game for the seventh generations of consoles. AVP3 was alright, but I've always preferred the third-person perspective when in control of the Predator character.

How do I put this gently?
Your idea of replacing Scarface with some female predator is utter garbage...thankfully you're not the director :P
