CHAPTER 1: THE OUTBREAK

CAST

Asuka Yutani
Blood Type AB
18

August 30th, 2192
Earth: Osaka, Japan

It was a clear summer day, the sky was a bright blue that afternoon. A young woman with short, dark brown, and styled with bangs on the left side of her head in a side-parted hairstyle, Asuka Yutani, third child of the prestigious Yutani family was sitting in a classroom hearing lectures from her professor about the anatomy of synthetics. Asuka was jotting down the notes. Her expressions were growing bored. "I already know all of this..." she mutters to herself. The girl slowly started to drift off to sleep. Her classmate Kiko jabs her elbow into Asuka's ribcage trying to wake her before the professor takes notice.

"Yutani-san!" the old fossil professor barked.

"Yes, Kawaguchi-sensei!" Asuka finds herself wide awake.

The old fossil grins smugly, "So happy to see you are awake. I hope my lectures are not too boring for you. Aye, Yutani-san?"

"No, sensei. It's just... I already know all of this from my.."

"Oh you may think so because your family is in charge of the cybernetics division of Weyland-Yutani that you can slack off in my class? Hmmm?"

Asuka glares at the old fossil, she wanted to say a snappy comeback.  She had made a vow to her father that she wouldn't back talk to her elders any more. "No, sir. I'm sorry" she sits down in her chair in defeat. The sounds of chuckles and snickers made Asuka feel even more embarrassed.

"She is the daughter of Ryo Yutani? How pathetic" said one student.

"Her little sister and two older brothers are respectable; I guess greatness skipped over her"

"Silence! Yutani-san meet me after school"

"Yes, Sensei"

"Back to the topic of discussion, in recent years in many countries synthetics or artificial persons are considered being bestowed with civil rights. This notion is foolish, synthetics are machines. They have no soul, they have no family, we manufacture them, they are property not people. They can not feel love anymore than a refrigerator or an alarm clock."

Asuka takes a glance out the window. She can see a massive cityscape outside. A concrete jungle of apartment buildings, businesses, offices, and more concrete buildings. It was almost impossible to see the ground floor at her level. She couldn't fathom that roughly a hundred years ago this university was once built on the ground. There was once a time that both grade-school children and college students walked to school. Now everywhere in this city is accessed via hanging trains and public elevators.

Once class was dismissed, Asuka noticed that some of the students were watching the news from their phones. Asuka took notice of Kiko's face. Her eyes were filled with tears. "What's that Kiko-chan?" Asuka asked.

"The police have found another person's body! It's.... My father," Kiko closed her phone.

"What happened? Kiko-chan? Kiko-chan?!"

"The police have found my father's body... He has a hole in his chest like the others"

---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

It was late in the afternoon. The classroom door opened slightly. Asuka peeked her head in to see if the professor was still there; He was. With a heavy sigh, Asuka walked on in.

"Yutani-san," The professor started. He goes on to rant about duty, integrity, and other boring stuff about being a good student and rambles on about other unrelated stuff. "The point is, Yutani-san. Your family is rich and powerful and you must never allow yourself to show even a hint of weakness around your peers. Alright?"

"Yes..." Asuka heard a commotion out in the hallway.

"What in the world is going on out there?" Professor Kawaguchi asked.
Asuka peeked her head outside and saw a whole crowd of students gathering around in the hallway. She made it to the crowd. Her eyes widened in horror. The student was a young man, about a year older than Asuka. She couldn't recall his name or remember what his face looked like; it was particularly hard to tell what his face looked like with that strange eyeless scorpion creature latched onto his face.

Scorpion? Even that general description barely could actually describe it. Now Asuka was no arachnologist but she was sure that arachnids had eight legs not ten. Besides that the creature's legs disturbingly resembled human fingers. She already took notice that the creature lacked eyes. Asuka was curious as to what purpose the strange sacks located at the base of the creature's tail were used for? The tail? It was wrapped around the man's neck, growing increasingly tighter when anyone dared to touch it. It only relaxed when left alone. That thing, whatever it is, doesn't want to be disturbed.

"What is that thing? Sensei?" Asuka asked.

"You students head off into the classroom. I'll go call the dean!"

"Sensei!" Asuka called out but Professor Kawaguchi was already gone. "Okay you heard Sensei, inside the classroom now!"

"Why should we listen to you?" said one of the college delinquents.

"Look, now is not the time to be a badass! I don't have time to throw down with you, Hwoarang!"

"Tch! Come at me, Yutani-Bitch!" Hwoarang brought up his fists. "Don't tell me now that we are in college, you have grown soft on me!" Hwoarang has always been a misfit ever since coming to Japan from Korea. His homeland Korea was led by a brutal dictator. A long time ago, there used to be two Koreas: North and South Korea. However sometime in the middle of the 21st century as the Union of People's Progression began to grow in power, North Korea seized the opportunity to annex South Korea into itself. Those who wished for freedom fled into Japan, seeking asylum.

"When this is over, I will fight you. For now let's do as Sensei asked" Asuka was barely able to keep herself from wanting to punch the guy in the face. Though she did feel bad for him. Japan is a free country but a powerful one. Being a founding member of the Three World Empire has certainly helped the country's status on the world... or rather the Middle Heavens stage.

It had been hours since Sensei had left. Asuka was growing worried. She heard a female student scream as the "scorpion" had begun to move. The creature was extremely weak as it crawled off of the man's face. A strange tube-like organ was dragging underneath its tail. Hwoarang ran up to kick the creature into the wall. The creature flew across the room. It flopped over onto its back, its finger legs curled inwards.

Asuka watched as the day was slowly shifting towards night. The young man suddenly awakened from his coma. The students crowd around him, asking if he was okay. He didn't seem to remember what had happened to him let alone the creature that was on his face. He started asking the girls if they had any food on them. They were quick to fork up their lunches. The young man tore into the lunches as if he hadn't eaten in weeks.

"Whoa slow down man, before you choke! Hahaha" the others laughed.

The hungry student began choking on his food. He then began top vomit up his stomach contents. His fists banging against the desk before grabbing tightly around the table edges desperately as he continues to vomit.

"I can't believe this... I lost my appetite!" Hwoarang returned back to his desk.

The mood quickly changed as the student collapses on to the floor. His body was twitching and squirming like a worm. The other students sprang into action to restrain him, thinking he was having a seizure.

"Yoshi, try not to bite your tongue!" called out one of the male students.

"I can't remember, does Fujiwara-san have a history of seizures?" Kiko asked.

"I don't know!" replied class rep, Toji Honda.

Yoshi's shirt began to turn red all of sudden until... CRACK! The sound of bone snapping was very audible. An inhuman scream bellowed from Yoshi. The students immediately backway from Yoshi. A small eyeless snake wormed its way out of the dead student's chest cavity. The creature was too quick, it quickly fled out of the open window.

"What the heck was that thing!" Hwoarang shouted at Asuka.

"How the heck should I know?!" Asuka shouted back.

Kiko was studying the massive hole in Yoshi's chest. It was identical to the same wound found on her late father. She would never have thought that an animal was responsible for her father's death. So far the creature's life cycle was similar to that of a parasitic wasp. The "scorpion" must have been this creature's larval form. Was the eyeless snake its adult form? No, that was merely its pupa stage or so she theorized. But where did this creature come from? Did it come from an egg?

The sounds of an air raid siren went off in the distance. Gun fire could be heard from outside. Footsteps of soldiers came rushing to every classroom. It was the imperial marines. They motioned the students to leave their rooms and beckon them to follow them down to the lower levels. When the marines reached Asuka's classroom. They casted a long stare at Fujiwara's body before motioning to Asuka and the others to follow them.

The students find themselves at the emergency monorail station located beneath the University. Suddenly the marines were on edge and for good reason; off in a corner were large leathery eggs. Their tops were exposed, four petal-like lips flared open. "So they do come from eggs" Kiko whispered to herself, her suspicions were correct. One of the marines reached down to the floor.

The automated monorail was summoned to its station. The marine pulled up what first looked like an empty plastic sack... once unraveled it looked more like snake skin. The marine quickly dropped the snake skin. "Shit they have already molted!" the marine points up at a large cocoon on the ceiling.

"Molted?" Kiko asked. "Wait, is that a cocoon?"

"Everyone on the train, Move it, Move it!"

The monorail train was jam packed like a can of sardines but the marines didn't join them. The activated the controls for the train to head off on its next destination. Asuka could see from her vantage point that the marines' attention was now drawn to the opposite end of the corridor. Gunfire echoed through the tunnels. The sounds of inhuman howls and screams bellowed. The monorail train began to pick up speed.

A loud thud was heard above them. A black hand with long spindly fingers gripped on the outside of the window of the monorail. Then came a second hand. Then a black square chin came into view. Its teeth were metallic like silver. The creatures, like the scorpion and the snake, had no eyes. The alien began to smash its face against the window. Kiko's second suspicions were proven true, the snake wasn't its adult form.

The coming passage was fortunately narrow enough for only the monorail to pass through. The alien was forcefully and violently dislodged from the side of the train. This reprieve didn't last for very long as the train arrived on the exterior track. The students watch from above looking down below at the chaos in the streets.

The aliens were covered in black armor-like skin with some tube-like structures adorning their backs. Their heads were cigar-shaped. At the base of its back was a long tail. The creatures can alternate between running on all fours to walking on two legs. Even at this distance, Asuka can see the creature's preferred method of attack was attacking its victims with its "tongue"; an inner pair of smaller jaws attached to a rod-like organ.

The train was on its way to the next building. Several of the adult aliens were roosting on the side of the building almost as if they were waiting for them.

                                          CHAPTER 2: THE RESCUE

Asuka awakens inside a dark room. The walls were encapsulated in black biomechanical resin. She slowly began to remember what had transpired. The aliens had breached the monorail train, its perpetual drooling grin gave her shivers down her spine as the rest of them flooded into the tight confines of the train. On closer inspection the students now had a better view of the creature: roughly humanoid and biomechanical in nature with four tubes and a lone spike jutting out of its upper back. Their segmented tails thrashing about behind them. The aliens chatter their teeth as they bolted towards the crowd of students.

Their tails whipping at lightning speed. Claws tear away at flesh and fabric. Some of the more braver students met their end from the alien's inner jaws piercing their skulls; they were the lucky ones. The others who tried to retreat into the back of the train were struck by the beast's stinger tail.
Asuka felt a sharp pain coursing through her collar bone. She too was struck by the alien's tail. The beast peeled back its thin lips baring its fangs as it grabbed at Asuka's legs. She tried to scream, but not a sound could escape from her throat, she realized she was paralyzed by its venom. The xenomorph grabs Asuka by the shoulder, its claws sunk into her flesh. Again she tried to scream but all she was doing was making choking sounds. The xenomorph drools on her wounded shoulder, its saliva cauterizes the wound. Asuka felt her consciousness fading. Her vision faded to black.

When her dark eyes opened, she was in a half-conscious state. She only had the energy to stare at the ceiling. She could hear the xenomorph hissing at its hivemates. On the ceiling a xenomorph warrior, armored and ridged, came crawling overhead. Asuka noticed it's indifference to her. From the corner of her eyes, she can make out the dorsal tubes of the other xenomorphs passing by her and her assailant. She noticed by their heavier footsteps and their laboring hisses they were carrying something large. Weak choking moans escaped from the xeno's quarry. Asuka knew it was from the other students. Before she could theorize the beast's motives she slipped back into unconsciousness.

Asuka was conscious once more but saw nothing but dark biomechanical resin encrusted walls. She heard the sobbing cries from the other college students. She struggled to stand up, something was keeping in her place. She slowly felt a sticky hard substance covering her body; Asuka realized she was glued to the resin wall. She continued to struggle against the resin but it was no use. She felt like a fly trapped in a spider's web.
A spider's web? That's what this sure feels like, Asuka's thoughts pondered. Am I going to get eaten?

A new sound caught her attention, it was close, real close. The sounds of feet shuffling off in the distance. A sharp hiss then fills the corridor as the dark corners of the walls begin to move. From the darkness, the shadows took the form of the aliens. Their lumbering biomechanical forms navigated with purpose through the nest. They were carrying something in their arms. It resembled a large ball to Asuka, but for what purpose she did not know.

The aliens began to place said balls in front of each student. The ambient low light allowed Asuka to see "the ball" better. It looked familiar to her but where? She did not know. The top of "the ball" soon began to peel open into four flower-like petals. The peeling made a loud wet sound which was then followed by gurgling noises. Her heart pounded violently in her chest, she didn't know what it was but she knew it was something bad. Asuka's eyes widened, there she had just realized where she saw these balls; Earlier in the university subway, these were eggs.

The gurgling noise came back but louder. Then came a second sound which creepied Asuka out. Crawling, wet crawling noise; like fingers slushing through a layer of slime. Its movements were slowly getting closer to her, something bad! Asuka mutters a Buddhist prayer as she spots four fingers emerge from the egg-petals except these were not fingers; these were the front legs of a facehugger. The facehugger paused its movements. The sounds of horrid shrieks echoed within the hive walls. Then came an explosion. Fire erupted within the hive-nest. The facehugger lunged at Asuka in desperation. It was black in coloration with webbing between its middle and back legs. Its tail raised up like a scorpion.

The black facehugger hissed. Asuka in a foolish moment gave the parasite her attention. The alien leapt from the ground, flaring all ten of its legs and from the slit of its underbelly came protruding out a tube-like organ. A sharp inhuman scream echoed from within the chamber as it cut Asuka's prayer short. Asuka instinctively kept her mouth closed as the creature landed on her face. The impact of the collison knocked Asuka's head backwards into the sticky resin. Its finger legs like a vice grip hold a firm hold on Asuka's skull. The facehugger's smooth tail rapidly wrapped itself around her throat; Asuka was left gasping for air. The creature sensing its prey's labored breaths began to insert its tube-shaped organ down her throat. The sacks at the base of the facehugger's tail began to inflate and deflate; pumping oxygen and nitrogen down its tube-organ while also absorbing carbon dioxide into itself. A tear rolled down her face as her mind faded into unconsciousness.

The Imperial Marines and United American Marines came bursting into the hive. They made short work of the ovomorphs with their flamethrowers. The smart gunners took care of the straggling xenomorphs. Kiko sighed as her egg was destroyed by the furious hail of bullets from a M-41 Pulse Rifle. Hwoawang growled at the marines but tolerated them just enough to free him from his resin prison. The rest of the students were free from their resin prisons. Fortunately their eggs had yet to hatch and were of course destroyed. Kiko joined her friends as they cried, thanking their lucky stars they were saved.

"Wait, where is Yutani-san?" Kiko then spotted Asuka being laid out on a stretcher. Attached to her face was a black facehugger. "Yutani-san! Asuka-chan, no!" Kiko fell to her knees before her fallen friend. Her fellow classmates all gathered around.

"Damn it Yutani! You f**king piss me off how could you bail out before we could settled our score!" Hwoarang violently grabbed Asuka's unconscious form. The Black facehugger began to tighten its tail around her neck.

"Let go of her you moron! Can't you see that the Facehugger is still attached to your friend!"

"What? You want to die, punk! Huh?!" Hwoarang bellowed.

"Take it easy, man!" said Toji Honda.

"Look!" Kiko pointed at the marines.

One of the synthetics accompanying the marines bent over to examine the young woman. She carefully studies the black chitin armor of the facehugger. The synth smiles. "Remarkable," she said. The synthetic resembled a young japanese woman.

She was of the Emiko-series. An upgrade from the Daika-series which was an improvement over the earlier Chisato, Byakuren, and Aoi-series. Collectively these synthetics are known for their elegant beautiful design, each new model is more life-like than the previous model. This particular Emiko was dubbed Emily. Her skin was white as porcelain, her hair was short, slick back and black. Her eyes were so dark that they blended in with her irises.

Kiko, Toji and Hwoarang glared at Emily with disgust. They presumed the synth was more interested in the creature than saving Asuka's life.

"Hey, if you are a doctor. Please save our friend, you can remove that thing off of her can you?" Kiko took a step closer.

Emily broke her gaze from the alien parasite as she locked her cold stare at Kiko. "Removal of the Facehugger would prove fatal for your friend"

"A Facehugger? Do you know what these things are? Please tell us. How do we beat them?" Kiko took another step closer.

Emily sighs, she glances over to the marines. The commanding officers of both the UAMC and the Imperial Marines had finally reached an agreement on how to proceed. The marines were heading out for the extraction point in the middle of the city. "Come, it were appear that the marines have decided on an evacuation point"

"Hey! You may have forgotten to answer my question, synth, stop ignoring us!" Kiko does her best to keep up with the android.

The android glared at the young woman, she glanced over at one of the marines accompanying them. The marine gives her a nod, "Those things are called xenomorphs. As for beating them... I'm sorry" the android broke eye contact with Kiko.

"I'm sorry?" Hwoarang began to growl, "Hey, you punk!" He grabs the synth by the collar before throwing her against the wall. The marines aim their pulse rifles at the angry student. Emily gives Hwoarang a death glare.

"Please, remove your hands from my throat. Attempting to crush my non-existent wind pipe is futile. If you continue this course of action, I will counteract" her cold dark eyes stare straight into Hwoarang's. She grabs his wrist with her delicate hands. With a flick of her wrist she tosses Hwoarang to the floor. "Be thankful that I am incapable of harming a human being! If it weren't for those three laws, I could and would kill you! Understand?!" Emily glances over at Kiko and Toji. "Your friend's life is not currently in danger at the moment. I would give her approximately Two or Three days at the most. After that, time is up..." Emily reads the others' faces, "I see you already know what happens next..."

"Xenos! Up ahead!" shouts one of the marines.

The xenomorphs kept their distance from the marines. They carefully monitor the platoon from the shadows. Waiting for the right time to strike. The scent of the royal facehugger is responsible for this change in their behavior. They must not act too quickly or else they'll put the infant queen in danger.

"Emily, is there a way to remove the facehugger safely? This is Mr. Yutani's daughter" the commanding officer in charge spoke.

"There is one way... But it's risky..." There was a brief pause, "I have searched my databases and information about facehugger removal techniques. There was only one case recorded. If we can freeze the base of the tail then we can proceed to fully removing it. Problem is finding a freezing agent."

Yeah I always had problems with my tenses. Thanks for the feedback.

Although, Asuka Yutani is based on Asuka Kazama from Tekken rather than Asuka Langley Soryu.
Both are similar though as in both are hot headed Tsundere (Harsh-Sweet personality).

CHAPTER 3: THE GHOST IN THE SHELL

The marines crossed into a second corridor. A shrill screech permeates the air. Hanging upside down was a smaller variant of the adult xenomorph. Emily recognizes Its copper colored exoskeleton and its lack of dorsal spines; commonly referred to as a Runner in Xenomorph Study circles but also referred to by its technical name, the Scout. Emily recalls her first encounter with the Runner, on an old penal colony world called Fiorina "Fury" 161. She wasn't sure how the xenomorph 121 arrived there.

The Imperial and United American Marines sprayed a hail of gunfire at the nimble creature. The runner leapt off the ceiling but its shoulder was structured by one of the stray bullets. Acid splashes onto the floor. The xenomorph recoils itself on the left wall. The marines didn't let up as they continued to shower the Runner with bullets. Its arm discombobulates from its shoulder. Bullets tear holes into its tube-like jugulars causing its head to come off its body.

The commotion only served to aggravate the xenomorph warriors. The Marines began opening fire at the charging xenomorphs. The Warriors, unlike the Runner, had thicker and more durable carapace. Though the bullets did hit them, though they broke through the weaker parts of its armor, the xenomorphs kept pushing through. The warriors were thrown to the floor from the impact of the pulse rifle, they were not dead, just briefly incapacitated. This gave the marines and students enough time to make their escape. Though the Marines managed to lose the xenomorph pack trailing them; more were undoubtedly on their way.

"Jimbo, help with the door!" calls out one of the marines.

Private First Class Jimbo Darsh held the door close as Corporal Edward Von Cleph began to seal the door with his blowtorch. When the door was sealed the two marines backed away from the door.

"Darsh, Cleph, take point" says the commanding officer.

"Yes sir," the two spoke in unison.

The marines escorted the students into a museum. World War II zero fighter planes hung from the ceilings. Joshi Kabuto Samurai armor decorated the hallways. Ancient Japanese weapons like Katanas, shurikens, kunai, and naginatas were stored carefully behind glass. Traditional Japanese paintings covered the walls of the museum. Yutani Corporation produced exoskeleton prototypes encased behind a wall of glass and metal. Prototype models of Yutani-Produced synthetics were also encased behind glass.

Hwoarang smashes his fist into one of the sword containers. Oddly the security systems were not triggered. The korean student pulls the katana out of its scabbard. A smile creeps on his face.

Kiko glared at Hwoarang, "That is illegal... not to mention disrespectful" Kiko then hears a hissing sound.

She walked over to her friend on the stretcher. The facehugger had finally released itself from Asuka's face. "Oh no," Kiko stared at the royal facehugger. Emily quickly lifts the weakened facehugger up off of Asuka's face. The girl's eyes were wide open, dead eyed unconscious. As the facehugger continued to be pulled off the girl, its absurdly long ovipositor-organ slithered out from her oral orifice. Beads of saliva dripped out from her mouth.

Emily studies the facehugger in her clutches, taking in every inch of the creature. She opens her bag and pulls out a glass container. She stuffs the now dead facehugger into it before securing the metal lid.

"Let's keep moving, there is a dropship heading this way. We must head to the roof" the commanding officer urges. "We will take your friend to gateway station, we will make sure she gets the help she needs"

An hour later... Asuka finally regained consciousness. She held a hand to her throat, it was sore both inside and outside. She coughs vehemently to empty her lungs of phlegm. She felt a heaviness in her chest. She looked over at Kiko worried, "What happened to me?" she coughs, "why is there a heaviness in my chest"

"You have an alien embryo inside of you," Emily says bluntly. The synth approaches the girl, "You have about two or three days before it hatches. Try not to worry. Help is on the way, I recommend remaining calm as to not agitate the embryo"

"An alien embryo... You mean one of those snake-monsters is inside me?" Asuka grits her teeth.

"Yes, I just said that. Chestburster removal is a simple procedure" Emily glared coldly at the young college student.

"Chestburster? Not very creative names but they are to the point" Kiko thought out loud.

"Who cares what these things are called, I want out of here!" Hwoarang brandishes the katana. "Rather than sitting around, we should be heading up stairs!"

"Kid, sheath that sword. It's a priceless artifact, that's worth more than your education" Captain Hana Kurosaki, commanding officer of the Imperial Marines, said. She turns to her United American counterpart Major Arthur Powell. The two officers spoke of their plans and both agreed that heading to the roof was their best course of action.

Hwoarang was growing bored staring at the artifacts. He glances at the zero fighter. There he briefly saw something fly across the ceiling. He couldn't make out what it was. "What?" he asked himself. He swore he saw something moving upstairs but couldn't figure out what.

The distant howls of the xenomorphs gave the marines a renewed sense of urgency. "Let's go, move it!" Maj. Powell ordered. The marines and college students quickly made their way up the stairs. The sealed door from earlier began to bulge. BANG! The xenomorphs continued to throw themselves into the door. The Bulge progressively gets larger and larger until finally the door buckles then breaks outward. Like a bellyburster, the xenomorphs collectively pull themselves free from the shredded remains of the door.

The xenomorphs were quick to take any position to their advantage. The zero fighter plane hanging above the xenomorphs briefly distracts the aliens. Beep... beep... beep... the zero fighter suddenly explodes. Its wreckage collapses on the xenomorphs.

In the smoke the light shimmers before the xenomorphs. A pair of silver blades shoot out of the shimmer. A pair of flashing eyes emit out of the smoke. The yautja decloaks. Its roar fills the air louder than any xenomorph screech.

"What the hell was that?" Major Powell shouted.

"An opportunity!" Captain Kurosaki gives the signal to her marines.

 ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

The marines were double timing their way to the highest floor. Once on the roof a pack of xenomorphs attacked the marines in full force. The dropship soared overhead. Its main cannon managed to reduce the amount of warriors flanking the marines from the sides but not all of them.

A xenomorph runner crawled down from an adjacent skyscraper. It spots Hwoarang stepping out from the group of students. Like lightning it crawls down seven stories before leaping at the korean student. He drops the katana onto the floor. Kiko rushes over to grab the sword, she manages to remove its scabbard but the Runner stings her with its tail. Hwoarang takes this opportunity in an attempt to overpower the alien but it was no use since the xenomorph was far stronger than him. Asuka bolts towards the katana. The runner was disinterested in her. Giving her the opportunity to attack, she lifts the katana up. She takes a deep breath before charging towards the xenomorph shrieking. STAB! The ancient katana pieces through the xenomorph's neck and out of the side of its skull.

Acidic blood sprays all over Asuka's forearms, left side of her face and left leg. Asuka screams in agony as she instinctively takes a step backwards. Her left leg melts off her thigh. Both forearms collapse onto the floor still holding on to the melting katana. Her lower jaw was barely hanging on to the few strands of sinew holding her face together. Her left eye is severely damaged but otherwise somewhat intact.

Emily quickly bolts from the marines to retrieve the three students. The Runner was in the middle of its death throes as it continued to bleed out. The dropship passes around with two additional wingmen. The collective cannons of all three dropships make short work of xenomorphs in the vicinity. The lead dropship then prepares to land on the museum roof. A large red cross was displayed on its flank. Emily was quick to prioritize Asuka over the others. The other students were then brought on to the wingmen dropships along with the marines.

The Medical-Evac Dropship and the two super dropships make their escape into orbit. The medics onboard the dropship did their best to stabilize Asuka's vitals. She had lost a lot of blood, thankfully the acid had cauterized her wounds. Emily had explained to the medics that Asuka was implanted with a xenomorph embryo. The medics stared at the unconscious girl. Facehuggers typically leave behind cancerous growths inside its hosts. From these cancerous growths comes the development of a single chestburster.

"Don't give me that look, we are going to save his daughter" Emily glared at the medics. "The chairman has ordered it"

"Yes ma'am" the medics nodded.

 ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

The three dropships enter into the hangar bay of Gateway Station. The doctors quickly placed Asuka on a stretcher. She is brought into the IU. The automotive surgeon quickly removed the woman from the stretcher and into the auto-doc. The robot doctor moved its multiple arms into position, injecting her full of pain killers and other drugs to pacify the parasite. The queen embryo grew agitated as the drugs bombarded it. The queen chestburster rams her developing crown into Asuka's ribcage before the drugs overtake the queen, pacifying her for the moment.

"Patient: Asuka Yutani
Sex: Female
Blood Type: AB...

How should we proceed, Doctor?" Nurse Ogawa finishes reading Asuka's chart.

"Okay first we remove the embryo. Then we proceed for prosthetic preparation surgery" Doctor Shirow ordered.

"Belay that. Orders from the top. Mr. Yutani wants his daughter to be presentable" Chairman Kurt Vickers stepped in.

"What are you suggesting?" Doctor Shirow asked.

"Full prosthetic body" Chairman Vickers demanded.

"Full prosthetic body? Mr. Vickers, sir. It's still in the experimental stage, it is too risky for young Yutani-san!" Doctor Shirow protested.

"Would you rather that we transfer her to a more competent doctor?" Chairman Vickers then puts his arm around Doctor Shirow's neck to bring him in closer. "You sure you want to miss out on all that fame and glory?" He put emphasis on each word.

"No, sir. I'll prepare for the surgery right away. Nurse Ogawa, prepare the celphala-extractor" Doctor Shirow ordered.

"Doctor?" Nurse Ogawa questioned.

"Just do it," Doctor Shirow demanded.

"Yes, doctor" Nurse Ogawa complied.

The auto-doc began to move Asuka's body up the bed. Her head was then placed into the celphala-extractor. The celphala-extractor then closed around Asuka's neck. The doctors quickly began surgically attaching tubes at the base of her neck to a blood circulator machine. The celphala-extractor did the same for Asuka's head. Connecting her head to a blood circulator device.

"Okay, proceed" Doctor Shirow ordered the machine.

The Cephala-extractor in a blink of an eye, severs Asuka Yutani's head from her shoulders. Oxygen/Nitrogen mix was pumped directly into her blood to keep her brain from suffering necrosis. The celphala-extractor then pulled away from Asuka's body. A device was already implanted where her head should have been to keep the body alive momentarily.

"Okay proceed with Embryo extraction" Doctor Shirow ordered.

The cephala-extractor's onboard auto-doctor began shaving away at Asuka's scalp removing all of the hair until she was bald. The machine then began making precise incisions into Asuka's skull as her scalp was quickly removed and her brain was delicately removed from her head into the brain-case as well as some of her blood. Once the brain-case was secured it was taken out of the cephala-extractor.

"How's the patient?" Ogawa asked.

The doctor does a quick read of the vital scans, "She is doing perfect, we will take her to cybernetics right away. Apparently Mr. Yutani has been working on a new synthetic model. Trial runs have been promising with several animal subjects"

"What about humans?" Nurse Ogawa asked curiously.

"Officially, Yutani is going to be the first. Let's keep it that way" Doctor Shirow sighed.

CHAPTER 4: THE AFTERMATH

During this ordeal Asuka was as active as ever even without a body she was able to dream. Asuka was at home in her personal dojo, practicing her grandfather's kazama-style, a form of traditional Japanese Jujutsu, specifically incorporating the Daitō-ryū Aiki-jūjutsu system. Meanwhile outside of the dream. Asuka's brain was carefully removed from the brain-case then placed inside a custom made synthetic skull. Her blood was being artificially circulated inside the artificial skull as well as fluids being pumped into her bloodstream to supply her with food and water from a series of hollow tubes.

Back in the dream, "Asuka-chan, spar with me" Asuka looked up to see her older brother Jin was carrying two kendo sticks.

In the real world, Asuka's new skull was lowered onto her new synthetic spine. When in the dream she could slowly feel sensations returning to her.

In the dream, "Alright, let me get changed into my kendo gear" Asuka pointed her thumb towards the door.

In the real-world, Asuka's skull and spine are then left suspended over a large chasm. Below her are synthetic bodies: some complete, some aren't.

"There is no need for that," Jin spoke in a serious tone.

Asuka's skull and spine are then lowered into the chasm below. Her spine is then fed into her new synthetic body.

"Eh?" Asuka looked at him confused. Jin tossed Asuka a kendo stick. Her reflexes allowed her to catch the kendo stick perfectly. Jin smiled before charging at her at full force. Muscle memory returned to her.

"Jin, what's your problem!" Asuka growled.

In the real world, Asuka's synthetic body was floating inside a yellow solution.

In the dream, Without saying a word Jin continued his barrage of attacks. Asuka barely was able to keep up with his swings. "Jin, stop this! This is dangerous, we are not even wearing any gear!" she cried.

"Dangerous, such weak excuses!" Jin growled. Again he began laying down a siege of swings and jabs.

In the real world, Asuka's body is raised covered in the yellow solution then it turns into a teal color. The teal covering hardens before cracking. The teal covering crumbles revealing Asuka now has human-like skin covering her synthetic endoskeleton.

In the dream, Asuka continues to deflect Jin's attacks as best she could. Growing exhausted, she missed a parry swing allowing Jin to impale her shoulder with the kendo stick. "Ahhh!" Asuka's mind was flooded with excruciating pain, she hesitantly looked at her shoulder.

Her eyes widened in place of Jin's kendo stick was a black stinger. The stinger was attached to a long segmented tail that was apparently growing out of Jin's lower back. Jin's human features began to melt away as he slowly approached her. His hands were replaced with three long clawed fingers. Slowly his body was replaced with that of a xenomorph.

"Oh shit!" Asuka muttered. The xenomorph was now within striking distance. It towered over her, beads of saliva dripped from his jaws. The creature placed its skeletal claws around the sides of her temples. The xenomorph peeled back its lips, brandishing its sharp teeth. She could see its inner jaws reeling back ready to punch a hole into her eye socket.

"NOOOOO!!!" Asuka screams herself awake.

She was in her bed. She glances down at her forearms and checks her leg. They are all there. Was it all a dream? Asuka thought. She attempts to walk but clumsily falls to the floor. Damn it, why aren't my legs working? She uses the furniture to help herself up as she hobbles to her window's curtains. Expecting to see that all too familiar Osakan cityscape, her window now looks out into the deep black void of space. "Nani?" (What?)

In the distance she can see several spaceships coming from the Earth's surface. Her bedroom door opens, Nurse Ogawa quickly runs over to guide Asuka back to her bed. "What's going on? Where am I?"

"You are on Gateway Station at your family's Penthouse. You were hurt and taken to the hospital on board the station. Doctor Shirow will explain the rest to you shortly" Nurse Ogawa bows politely. Doctor Shirow then enters the room holding a mini-computer tablet in his hand.

"Konichiwa, Yutani-san. What I am about to say will be difficult to believe. Allow me to run a diagnostics to your systems" Shirow reaches behind Asuka's ear then tugs on it. Her ear makes a slight pop noise as it peels off of the side of her head like a cabinet door. The doctor sticks a device inside of her head. Asuka's eyes roll in the back of her head. The whites of her eyes reveal the Weyland-Yutani logo.

Asuka in her mind's eye can see a flood of evasive pop ups. Mostlythey were just diagnostic screens. "What is this? Why am I seeing UI windows?" Asuka asked.

"Pay them no mind, dear" Shirow continued his diagnostics check.

"So what happened to me? Am I a robot now?" Asuka had so many questions. The screens quickly began to close themselves as the diagnostics check was complete.

"Well yes and no"

"Eh?"

"Your brain is human but everything else is not. I'll start from the beginning. You and your friends were attacked by a hostile alien-lifeform. When you came into my hospital, you were in critical condition. You were missing your forearm, your left leg and your lower jaw was barely attached to your skull"

"So you extracted my brain and now I am a cyborg?"

"Excuse me, Yutani-san. Allow me to finish. Yes, we extracted your brain. But that is not all. Yutani-san, Mr. Yutani, your father requested us to extract your womb and ovaries. It was hard work and we managed to fully integrate them into your system. Making you... err your body the first synthetic to be biologically compatible with human organs."

"He did what! I guess my father sees me as nothing more than a baby making machine. Tsk" She snorted. Asuka was not against being a mother one day but the thought was the furthest from her mind. Secretly she was grateful.

"Surely, not" Doctor Shirow then smiles, "Tomorrow, we will help you relearn how to walk. I'll see you soon"

October 1st, 2192
Earth: Osaka, Japan

A black dropship soars above the Yutani Penthouse. It was the dead of night. Rain was pounding against the metal skin of the dropship and the buildings down below. Onboard the dropship were men and women dressed in black armor. They were the Wraiths, Weyland-Yutani's covert operative task force. Their mission was a personal one. The leader of the Wraiths, Jin Yutani, was sent to extract their family's heirlooms from their penthouse. Given the hasty evacuation of Earth, last month. No one was able to go back for their personal belongings. The xenomorphs had since developed a series of complex hive clusters across every continent in every major city.

One such hive cluster was in Osaka. It was hard to fathom that a mere month ago this was just a budding nest. Now the hive has extended beyond apartments, the museum and the college university. The massive resin mound resembled an evil castle as it towers above the empty Osaka streets. The only structures taller than the Mound were the skyscrapers; Yutani Tower stood out as the tallest among them.

The black dropship circled around the tower. The pilot spots the designated landing platform. The dropship slowly made its descent. Jin stood up from his seat.

"Okay, team. Listen up. Our mission is to enter the penthouse. Extract the artifacts then fall back to this position."

"Sir, what about the aliens?"

"Unknown, the xenomorph XX121, doesn't register on our infrared scanners so expect anything out there. Any other questions? Alright then, let's take this slow"

The Wraiths charged out of the bowels of the dropship equipped with their standard issue M41 Pulse Rifles. Jin split his team into two smaller teams. Jin will lead the alpha team to the penthouse while the bravo team will stay behind to defend the dropship. The rain began to pick up as winds whip and blow across the skyscraper. Then suddenly the rain stopped for a few moments before it had returned. Unaware of the cloaked alien ship that had flown above the Wraiths.

SPLASH! SPLASH! Two hulking silhouettes arose from the glitching distortion. One male and one female. The male was bulkier, masculine but shorter than his female counterpart; while the female was leaner, feminine and taller. Both alien hunters wore their predlocks in a ponytail.

The male clicked his mandibles, "Youma..." he spoke to the female.

"Akuma..." She spoke back.

"Oomens... up ahead of us... be careful of the kainde amedha below the   lower levels..."

"Aye... May we have a successful hunt, brother..."

"Same to you, sister... Oh, Great Hunter watch over us, may our blades hit true!"

Meanwhile Alpha team had successfully cleared three floors, no signs of a xenomorph infestation in sight. The wraiths occasionally keep their eye on the motion tracker. Pump... pump... pump... beep!... beep!... beep!...

"Sir! We got Contact," Nina whispers, "6 o'clock"

"Remember, fire only when engaged," Jin commanded.

"Yes, sir" Nina and the rest of Alpha Team nodded.

BONG BONG BONG, the sound of heavy movements resonates from the air ducts above. Shadows of inhuman beings began to take shape on the walls. Its cigar-shaped head and lack of dorsal tubes betrayed its identity.

CHAPTER 5: THE HEIRLOOM

The Wraiths quickly took cover in the adjacent hallway. Xenomorphs, even those castes that are considered weaker, would be a tough fight for even a Wraith. In the past twelve years much was learned from the Xenomorph XX121. Though one could say in the past seventy years since the xenomorph's initial discovery in 2122. However the earlier findings were scarce and later discoveries shed light on the fact that not all xenomorphs documented were of the same species.

The Runner or Scout, was generally accepted by Xenomophologists as the weaker variant of the Stage IV xenomorph. Their lighter frame, lighter carapace, and long spindly legs gives this xenomorph an overall speed advantage compared to their stronger counterparts. That said one wrong move from the Wraiths, the Runner would surely either attack them or worse... retreat and call for aid.

"Sir, it's a Scout. It appears to be alone, shall we proceed?" Nina turned to her commanding officer.
"We will take an alternate route. There is a staircase down this hallway. That should take us directly to my family's penthouse. Okay let's move out" Jin commanded.

Meanwhile back on the landing platform. Akuma and Youma carefully watched the Wraith's Bravo Team. Youma clicked her mandibles in anticipation. The heat signature of every oomen was almost too much, she wanted to engage. Akuma clicked his mandibles letting out a low drawn out growl. "Wait... Now is not the time for that..."

Akuma taps at his wrist computer. A small droid is propelled from his battery back. The droid cloaks before continuing its resonances. Akuma directs the droid to the penthouse. The yaut'ja siblings didn't come to Osaka to hunt. They came searching for something, something precious to only them. They had searched twenty-two museums and four penthouses from weapon collectors already. Little by little, they had recovered tiny tidbits of information that had led them to the Yutani Penthouse.

There through electronic eyes. Akuma saw it in all of its glory. The fabled Kainde-Amedha Slayer, a Yaut'ja sword forged less than 600 years ago from the tooth of a Xenomorph Empress. It is said that the sword had claimed the lives of over a thousand kainde amedha. The sword was most famously wielded by their father, Yokai. However it was lost during the mass hunts on Earth. It was here in Japan that Yokai took part in his last hunt. "Found father's sword," Akuma clicked his mandibles. Youma roars in excitement.

"What the heck was that?" One of the Wraiths asked. The Wraiths were put on edge. "Did yall hear that here?"

"Sinclaire, take us into the sky. Our position has been compromised" Lieutenant Chaolan orders.

"Sir, what about Alpha Team and Commander Yutani?" a Wraith grunt protested.

"They'll have to endure until we can find a safer extraction point," Choalan explains. That roar sounded familiar to him. It was during his time with the Imperial Marines on LV-602. Hot steaming Jungles. His platoon was sent in for a rescue mission. When they arrived there the marine platoon that needed rescuing were all killed. Some were skinned with their corpses left hanging from the trees. Others were found missing their spines and skulls. In the distance, Lee could hear that same roar bellowing in the distance. Almost as if IT was taunting them.

"What is it, sir?" the young Wraith asked.

"Nothing, just follow your orders" Choalan climbed aboard the Dropship. The young Wraith saluted before doing the same. Once everyone was aboard the dropship took back into the skies.

"The oomens have left..." Youma, directs her plasmacastor up. She clicks her mandibles in disappointment. Even if she did fire, the plasma bolt would alert their presence to the kainde amedha.

"There are still oomens left on the upper floors... they are getting close to the kainde amedha slayer... sister, we must hurry" Akuma shook Youma's shoulder.

"Grrrr... Fine. I hold a claim on the oomen hunting captain's skull..." Youma growled.

"As long as the Kainde Amedha Slayer is in my hands... Its value is worth more than an oomen trophy..." Akuma taps at his wrist computer to recall the droid.

Meanwhile... Jin and his team have now arrived at his family penthouse. The golden walls were illuminated by ground lights. The interior was a fusion of post-modern style and traditional Japanese style. On an amber wall was a collection of various different weapons from across the ages.

A stone knife from the Jomon period. An Ashigaru spear from the Heian period. Several Sengoku War Katana from the Azuchi-Momoyama period; they were all wielded by the Yutani's famous ancestor Mitsurugi. A Japanese WW-II Rifle. A Mid-21st century E-Rifle from the C/NAC-Japanese conflicts. Last but not least in the middle of the amber wall was a semi-transparent crystalline blade attached to a bonewhite handle carefully crafted to resemble a xenomorph chestburster.

"There it is... My ancestors prize from the great demon of Edo. Onikoroshi no ken" (Ogre Slaying Sword)

"Great Demon, sir?" Nina asked curiously.

"It's an old family legend. It was said that my ancestor had bested a great demon for this sword. I once thought it was a mere legend. But now..." Jin stares at the chestburster shaped handle. "I am now certain this blade came from an alien warrior of sorts."

Lieutenant Nina Williams didn't believe in Legends. She only believed in what she could see with her own eyes yet the way Commander Yutani spoke of the history of the blade. Almost convinced her to believe in the story as well. Jin sheathed the alien katana.

The black dropship soared past the penthouse windows. Nina, now free from her thoughts, exchanged a glance outside. "Lee?! I mean Lieutenant Chaolan, what are you doing?" Nina radioed.

"I am relocating to a new extraction point. Initial Landing Zone is compromised" Chaolan reported.

"Xenos?" Nina asked.

"Not quiet... I have a feeling something else is here, watching us. I'll explain later"

"Chaolan, where is the new extraction zone?" Jin radioed.

"North of your position in the adjacent skyscraper"

"Sir!" Nina protested. Her eyes widened as she saw three little dots appear on Commander Yutani's arm. "Sir, look out" Nina threw herself into her commanding officer. A blue flash of light burst through the tempered glass. Plasma fire scorched the metal plating of Nina's uniform.

"Williams! Are you okay?"

"I'm fine sir..." Nina replied with heavy breath.

"Wraiths, in position." Jin commanded.

The rest of that glass pane suddenly shatters. The glass fragments bouncing off something transparent. Briefly giving shape to a hulking humanoid figure. The light bends around the figure but given the low lighting of the room, made this harder to see. A pair of blades suddenly materialize from the shimmer.

"Aghhhhhhh!!!" One of the Wraiths screams. The two blades are now sticking out of his back. The young man was being lifted off of the ground by a good three feet. Whatever did this to him must have been at least 8 to 9 feet tall. Suddenly a clicking growl emanated from the shimmer. Yellow eyes flash out from it.

The Wraiths began opening fire on the shimmer. Jin and Nina quickly ran further into the penthouse. Youma used the dying Wraith Operative as a human shield. His body soaks up most of the bullets before being thrown towards his comrades.

"Where did it go?" Cpl. Sanders asked.

"Cpl Wilhelm?" Sergeant Masters asked.

"He is dead, Sgt" Sanders informs her.

"Let's rendezvous with Commander Yutani" Masters makes a hand gesture towards the back of the room.

Youma quickly ran outside onto the hooded balcony before turning towards the oomens. She clicked her mandibles aggressively, she hated being used as a distraction. She wanted to jump in there and get her blades bloody, the thought of rending the oomens got her excited but alas her brother was only interested in claiming the sword. She wanted the sword too but what better way to honor her father than to wreak havoc; to spill copious amounts of ooman blood?

Akuma smashes through the window leading into the master's bedroom. He had hoped to cut the oomans off from escaping. He smashes open the bedroom door. He briefly spots the oomens heading into the hallway. Akuma changes his biomask's vision to X-ray vision. He spots the humans as skeletons. They were heading towards the study. Akuma sprints down the hallway before making a right turn. He could hear the footsteps of his sister following behind him.

"Youma... switch your biomask's eyes... to see the hidden sight"

Youma's biomask switches to X-ray vision. She stops in her tracks as she points her plasmacastor towards the general direction of the oomans. Phssshk... she blasts a hole through the metal walls. The explosion rocked the room. The Wraiths were thrown from their feet from the explosion.

"Youma! That was reckless..." Akuma growled. He turns his vision downwards. The exoskeletal frames of the kainde amedha had grown more active. "Chit! Youma, retrieve father's sword at all costs!"

"Yes, brother!" Youma rapidly clicked her mandibles in excitement. She could tell this greatly annoyed her brother. He was always one for tactics and stealth. Youma preferred direct confrontations over carefully planned out fights.

The ground shook and the sounds of prey and predator screaming permeated the air. The xenomorphs turned their collective attention towards the general direction of the penthouse. The Queen sat on her resin throne. Her ovipositor was translucent and swollen. The rear end of the egg sack had just laid a fresh ovomorph. The ovomorph began to stretch out its root-like tendrils. Slowly it moved across the ground at a snail's pace. The Queen bellows to her children with a thunderous roar. The lower caste xenomorphs hissed in collective rage.

Masters and Sanders had finally caught up to Yutani and Williams. "What the heck was that thing? Why is it attacking us?" Sanders bellowed.

Jin stood back up. "We make a break for the extraction point, let's go!"

The Wraiths double time down the emergency stairway.  Jin briefly turned his head back to the massive hole in the wall. Two pairs of three dots in a triangle formation danced across the adjacent wall. "Double Time it!" Nina demanded.

Jin spots an exit stairway. He kicks open the door, it flings open until the door smashes into the wall. "Down here!" he points down the stairway. The wraiths make it to the 20th floor. They were now in the catwalk bridge corridor. This corridor will lead them to Tower-2, where the Weyland Penthouse is located. If they are lucky and make it up three more floors, they should be able to rendezvous with Bravo Team.

"Seal the doors" Nina orders Sanders and Masters. Sanders pulls her blow torch and begins to seal the door closed. Nina takes a brief glance out the window. All she could see from down below was a sea of dark colored carapaces.

"Commander, we must move now!" Nina insisted.

"Right, Sanders, Masters. That's enough step away" Jin ordered.

The wraiths resume their trek towards Tower-2. The sealed double doors are then blasted open by plasma fire. The shockwave sent the Wraiths flying across the catwalk corridor. Youma roared. The commotion above drew the xenomorphs from down in the street's attention upwards. Like a swarm of angry hornets they scattered in all directions aimlessly. The xenomorphs are now scaling the walls of both towers like a swarm of angry ants.

Jin pulls out a grenade, he bites on the pin. He pulls the grenade away from his face before tossing it down the corridor. The grenade bounces off the floor, it now flies in the air. Youma is pulled out of the doorway by her brother. The grenade as if in slow motion began to bubble up, the discolored surface began to glow a bright hot white glow. FLASH! BOOM!

The sound of pulse rifles echoed in the halls of the second tower. Sanders, Williams, Yutani, and Masters were blasting away at a small horde of xenomorphs that managed to follow them. Fortunately they were of the smaller weaker castes. Born from street roaming animals. The weaker xenomorphs began to retreat. Jin directed his black op soldiers up to the next floor. He tosses a second grenade down the stairwell before quickly slamming the metal door closed. BOOM!

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

Youma growled as she kept firing away at the kainde amedha. Their carapaces burst open showering the environment in their burning gold colored acidic blood. Akuma on the other hand was scanning Tower-2 of the oomens. He spots their skeletons moving up to the 19th floor. They were out of range for his plasmacastor. At this rate they'll lose their family heirloom. Then Akuma zoomed out his biomask's electronic eyes to the whole of Tower-2. He spotted another pack of skeletons standing guard around what appeared to be an oomen ship.

"Youma... Retreat... back to ship!" Akuma clicked his mandibles furiously.

"Flee?!" Youma roared.

"The oomens are fleeing! Now quickly... back to ship... else the stronger and smarter kainde amedha will appear!" Akuma gruttaled.

"Yes brother" Youma lowered her head in defeat.

The two yautja siblings bolted down the corridor. Akuma's X-ray vision picks up on multiple kainde amedha converging on their location from the lower levels.

--- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- --- ---

Jin and his team managed to reach the extraction point. Bravo Team greets them. They are surprised to see one of their members was missing. Jin gave the Bravo team commander a glance before boarding the dropship. The bay door closes as the dropship slowly lifts off the ground.

CHAPTER 6: THE JOB

It had been years since the xenomorph outbreak had claimed the Earth. How did this happen? Some would say it was the result of new age religion. Some would say it was the incompetence of those in charge to prevent the spread of the alien. The end result of which left billions dead. Though that is not to say that only a lucky few made it off-world. Millions were spared by the combined might of the most powerful of nations and corporations. However during the exodus, sightings of a mysterious alien craft beyond Earth's orbit have been reported.

May 30th, 2194
Alexandria Colony, Ted Talk Convention.

"Are you ready for this?" asked one of the technicians.

Asuka sighs, "Yes, I am ready"

"Good, your on in 15"

Asuka grips her script manual tightly. It had been roughly four years since her operation. She remembers it well.

During the first year alone It was difficult. Asuka remembered sitting in a hospital bed staring blankly into a wall size mirror at a synthetic; a life-like doll of herself. Several fluid filled tubes were hooked into the synthetic. Asuka rationalizes this is where they provide Asuka's brain the valuable nutrients the brain needs to continue its function.

Doctors and technicians would periodically visit her to see if the synthetic body was functioning. The only part of the synthetic she had mastered was moving the eyes. It took her about five hours before she got the hang of moving the sythetic's mouth. Soon she learned how to move the synthetic's tongue. Soon Asuka regained her ability for speech.

Months had passed, during this time she slowly regained upper body motor control. Next she was her legs. Learning how to walk again was her biggest challenge. The synthetic body was very clumsy to control. Fortunately her new body was very durable, unfortunately the doctors had programmed her body with pain receptors.

Although she had recovered from the brink of death. Each time she goes to sleep the nightmares return. She dreamt of the Hive. The bodies of her fellow students being glued inside prisons made of resin. The aliens were always watching. They blended in the walls. They blended in with the corpses. No matter where Asuka turned her gaze, she could still see those awful demons. Their chilling grinning metallic fangs gleaming in the darkness. Asuka snapped herself out of the memory. She fills her synthetic lungs with air before standing up.

"I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO OUR GUEST OF HONOR, ASUKA YUTANI!!!" The announcer's voice boomed through the microphone.

The cameras were now all on her as well as the audience. She sat next to a man she knew quite well. Shinji Matsumoto; He was a synthetic engineer. He was the lead programmer and designer of the Emiko models. The host asked both Shinji and Asuka a series of questions revolving around synthetics and their impact on humanity. Shinji goes on to explain the importance of synthetics and human relationships. Shinji then went on to tease about what the public can see from Weyland-Yutani's synthetic department.

The big screen televisions behind them suddenly flickered on. Revealing the next model of android from Matsumoto's department. The Fujiko model. At first glance she wasn't too different from the emiko models aside from looking like a different attractive japanese woman. However, according to Shinji, he promised that this new synthetic would be more human-like than any previous model.

Asuka raised an eyebrow. She was thinking to herself why would you need to improve synthetics? They are already capable of blending in with humans, granted as long as they don't injure themselves. Bleeding white is not what humans do.  Deep down Asuka hates synthetics. They have always given her the creeps. Their analytical minds intimidated her as well. Why do they make them so human-like in the first place? Asuka would feel more comfortable if they would look more like a tachikoma.

"Mr. Matsumoto, the Emiko models are already popular in Japan and Japanese colonies. What has led you to decide to make an improvement over the Emiko model?"

"Well... you are looking at her," Shinji gestures his head towards Asuka.

"Ms Yutani, if you don't mind standing up for us?" Shinji motions the girl to stand up. "I have made a considerable amount of improvements over Emiko through designing a body compatible for holding human organs. Asuka Yutani as you may be aware of had suffered several life threatening injuries during the outbreak. It was a risky operation. However, we have successfully transplanted her brain inside this synthetic's body..."

Asuka's thoughts were growing hazy as she began to feel claustrophobic. She heard something skittering on the floor. She spotted something wasn't right with the audience. Why were they all smiling at her? Asuka felt a sharp pain in her chest. It tugged and tugged. It felt like something wanted out. Blood shot out of her chest. Red blood. A small featureless head wiggled its way out of her sternum. Asuka stared at it. It was a chestburster.

The chestburster turned its head towards her. Its small little arms grew rapidly into fully developed arms. Its clawed hands grapple a hold of Asuka's head. The rest of the chestburster soon began to fully develop. It pulled its legs out of her chest region, leaving only its tail inside the wound. The alien lifted Asuka up by the skull. The xenomorph peeled back its lips. She could see its inner jaw getting ready to strike.

"NO!" Asuka screams herself awake. She takes a good look around herself.
She is back home... well her home on Sakamoto Station. The doctors and nurses came in, they explained to her that she had passed out during the interview.

A year later...

August 12th, 2195
Anchorage Station.

A Bison-class Starfighter enters the station's starport. A young woman in her early 20s steps out of the bay doors ready to get to work. Rina Hayami, a hard working roughneck girl that is proud of her work. At least to those that work with her. However this was an alias. Aside from dying her hair black, sporting aviation glasses and having spent months working on her idea of a hard-working American accent. This woman is none other than Asuka Yutani.

"Ah, it's you!" a feminine voice shouted across the starport.

"Crap," Rina growled. She recognizes that voice. Super high pitch, a bubbly personality, and a thick French accent. Rina locked her gaze with a very gaudy blonde woman. "Lily," Rina's voice hid no sign of disdain for her rival.

"Well well well, looks like we are destined to work on the same ship, oui?" a young french woman stepped up to Rina. Her hair was long and blonde, her attire completely mismatched the environment around. A blend of blues and pinks on a predominately white dress. She looked more like a barbie doll than a gritty space trucker.

"Can you please change into something else?" Rina stared at Lily's odd choice in clothing. It was impractical for any sort of heavy lifting. "We are here to work, not look pretty!"

"How rude, such ugly manners. Although you have a cute face but you choose to dress like a man"

"It's called a uniform," Rina tosses Lily, a pair of worker fatigues, "get dressed. I don't want to miss orientation"

"Merde, American!" Lily curses.

There they were all gathered around a white table underneath a series of micro-television sets hanging from the ceiling. There was a caucasian man of average height with a beer gut. He scratched at his big bushy black beard. He removed his Weyland-Yutani cap from his head to itch at his black mane before placing the cap back on. He stared at the new crewmen with his sleepy hazel green eyes.

"Okay, I am your captain. Ummm the name is Ron Perkins, is what I mean. Captain of the USCS Rickenbacker. I would like to introduce you to my executive office, warrant officer and chief science officer," the bearded man spoke.

"I am executive officer Hinata Asakawa, it's a pleasure to meet you," said Hinata. She wore a white sleek corporate uniform. Her black hair was short and combined back.

"I am warrant officer Bill Kawalsky" a red haired man with pale pasty skin and red bushy hair.

"Science officer, Birch" a modified working joe spoke in a clear consistent manner.

"Okay now that the crew have introduced themselves, how about you?" Ron gestured to the new roughnecks.

"My name is As... Rina Hayami" Asuka introduced herself.

"Lily Rochefort,"

"Robert Mallinson"

"Joss Anderson"

"Josie Rizal"

"Dan Cobb"

"Well thanks for coming. Alright now listen up, newbies. You are going to take all the cargo from the stockpile out there and bring them in the cargo-bay here. Mkay? Got it? Get it? Good"

Rina enters the stockpile. There she spots a tall yellow exoskeleton. It was a P-9000 CAT Power Loader. Rina climbs up on the power loader, she then straps herself into it. She pulls down the cage, locking herself into the power loader. She then thumbs the control stick. The massive blocky feet of the Power Loader begins to move to Rina's command.

She rotates the power loader arms to test its capabilities. Rina looks over to a crate filled with Liquid Nitrogen. She thumbs the control stick forward. The Power Loader stomps its way to the crate. She carefully aligns the power loader's fingers into the side sockets and lifts the crate up. She swings the Power Loader's arm towards the Richenbacker.

"Good work, ummm" Captain Perkins looked down at the dossier, "Hayami. See that is the dedication we would like to see from yall"

Lily who had her arms crossed, teeth bared like a mad dog. She climbs aboard one of the power loaders. "I will not be upstaged by someone so gracelessly at what she does!" Lily directs her power loader to grab a crate before heading off to the cargo hold.

"Good, competition is the name of the game" Captain Perkins stood there smiling. He spots John Mallinson also getting into his power loader. Perkins knew he could relax now. Joss Anderson stood at the sidelines writing some down in his notebook.
