So if you really want a mod made for this game, your best bet is to learn how to make it for yourself.

Agreed, but it seems lucifero wants everyone else to do his work for him.

I didn't say it to sound mean. There's just not many modders left.

I always intended to learn to map, at the very least but I just never found the time. Makes me sad.

Don't feel bad. I can't make a map at all. I never liked the interface of DEdit to make maps.

maybe my idea its a bit complicated for make
if you can not use the cloud of steam for copyright reasons I wonder what could be the alternative solution.
The alternative solution is to plaster "AVP2 FREE DOWNLOAD HERE" links everywhere. Seriously, that is the solution.
I don't know why ppl make such a big deal out of the fact that it's not on Steam. I've gotten several people into the game.
Just refer them to this page as I've done countless other times.
True, it won't give the community the same population it would if it actually were sold on Steam, but it's something.

True that.

Maybe i'll host the entire game one day....  and spread the word like crazy !
maybe yes im crazy but
rome is not build in 1 day (same babilonia)

I had in mind a triple server or the reunification of more networks
in order to manage in a different way the resources that already have
a single client file the same for everyone who manages registration, installation of the game and all updates.
a server that handles the register users and can now be used as a vocal chat to manage new players and give you assistance in all languages

a server that handles the various counters and scores to be able to manage the various dowload or uploading and archiving historical
and finally a good server with good bandwidth to handle one or more of a dedicated server
a perfect machine capable of feeding itself of victims to be divided in 9 Circles of Hell

It would be nice to have AvP2 on steam but I know that there will be an issue with the rights. I know Herr_Alien did make a Team Fortress 2 AvP2 mod that does simulate AvP2 gameplay. However, I'm not sure if he is still working on it. If someone where to host a TF2 server with his mod it might be viable.

You plan to make more custom content?  skins/soundpacks/mods?

Let me know!

game play its more similar avp2 then tf1 but its
very nice and old mod expecially for capture the flag domination or story mode .
try to dowload this old version :
http://longliveavp2.cu.cc/pages/downloads.html

a russian server its always up required russian connetor and a cd key for join.(if i dont remember wrong)
server is not visible insde list because use a old vanilla server .

an example of what I had in mind to not start from scratch
is fortress-forever in pratice tf1 game play in source engine (multiplayer only)
http://www.fortress-forever.com/development
this mod its free and have a free hub insde steam.
http://steamcommunity.com/app/253530/
i suggest to play very nice!

It would be nice a AVP2 forever but I will remain a dream.

but also create a hub for official AVP2 inside steam would not be a bad idea.
i allude jp idea

the question is not whether legal or not legal, but whether it is ethically correct to do it
maybe some swedish hoster "The DMCA and US law does not apply in Sweden" - PirateBay

darkness would be only the beginning

No wonder, it lacks every possible features that exist.
I never ever saw a world editor in which you had to make every polygon without the function extrude, add or subtract.
The way it handled prefabs was absolutely disgusting too  :D
