It would be nice to have AvP2 on steam but I know that there will be an issue with the rights. I know Herr_Alien did make a Team Fortress 2 AvP2 mod that does simulate AvP2 gameplay. However, I'm not sure if he is still working on it. If someone where to host a TF2 server with his mod it might be viable.

game play its more similar avp2 then tf1 but its
very nice and old mod expecially for capture the flag domination or story mode .
try to dowload this old version :
http://longliveavp2.cu.cc/pages/downloads.htmla russian server its always up required russian connetor and a cd key for join.(if i dont remember wrong)
server is not visible insde list because use a old vanilla server .
an example of what I had in mind to not start from scratch
is fortress-forever in pratice tf1 game play in source engine (multiplayer only)
http://www.fortress-forever.com/developmentthis mod its free and have a free hub insde steam.
http://steamcommunity.com/app/253530/i suggest to play very nice!
It would be nice a AVP2 forever but I will remain a dream.
but also create a hub for official AVP2 inside steam would not be a bad idea.
i allude jp idea

maybe some swedish hoster "The DMCA and US law does not apply in Sweden" - PirateBay
darkness would be only the beginning
