Hey all, Just wondering who still plays this game as i am an old player who wants to return.
It may just be a hope a dream a myth but i really do hope the community isn't completely dead.
I left just as the majoirty of the Demo players joined the full version game. Some old players may be about but i went by the names of..... Cuddles, Fluffy, Ares or Pistachio

hey do you have xfire, we get games going on r3 everyday. its not dead, people still play.
Uninstalled it a while back, but can easily get it again. Do you know if there are many EU based players? I take it, all the links to patches etc. are on this forum.
I'm on from time to time. Haven't been on recently though. My xfire is predator453.

most of the people i play with are from the EU. I think all my clan is from the EU. We have been getting some good r3 survivor games, its cool because its easier to track down humans hiding and makes it more interesting. Do you have xfire?

Well that is great news! i will be getting my new PC within a couple of weeks. I will get xfire etc. and start to tear it up once more. Will have to work back towards my 2.0 stag rate ha!

I have my old AVP2 game just oit is missing disc one...disaster! Although i still have my CD key, so can i download the game from anywhere really?
I wanna play AVP2 multiplayer. I never got a chance to. I never say the option for it when I played. It was empty. How can I play?

I love this game. It's not perfect, since a few weapons are rather OP but overall I still love it much more than the latest AvP for consoles. I still play it from time to time.
Just re-installed it today and started playing on the WPC server. Is there a Mr. Runner on these forums?

Gawd I remember spending so much time in this game...Predaliens would leap through the air and I would shoot them down with one Sniper shot...being a predator using nothing but the combat stick..runner coming at me swipe off with your head!
Also took out a few queens a combat pred.
Aliens was by far the easiest. Espcially Predalien..lol never died!
If there is still a big community I will get this and I will play.
I always play it every now and then, seeing how Colonial Marines and AvP3 turned out, i am more than happy that we have AvP2 and it still works on Windows7! Amazing

Add PIFFKUSH to xfire and lets get a game going, I cant stand the new aliens colonial marines game, the alien is stuck in 3rd person!
and the sense mode is no were near as good as in r3
fWOOT! Still have it and on the main comp( A Dell Dimension) it ran SO GODDAMN FAST! I was like, W00T! I even ran a juicier gore mod, a laser on pistol mod, and a flamethrower flame mod, and it still ran fast. Awesome, and it brought back MP memories. I never was too good online. Got killed a lot. Mostly by n00b haters, who never go easy on the newcomers. Geez, if only some people were nice to the n00bs and helped out a little.

Yeah dude. I remember playing lots with you too, back in the day. I may install it later on and pick it up again if I have time.

After the disaster that was A:CM, I'm in the mood for some good Aliens combat.
Plus, this was like the multiplayer game of my highschool years.
I can't play it on my laptop, I need a mouse or something. I wish they would port it over onto the consoles so you download it off steam or something.

and this game is kind of abandonware at this point, unless its a physical copy there are no sales.

Is this topic about Aliens versus Predator 2 for the PC? I didn't know if it was or another game, but if it is may I express my feelings for that awesome game! A friend of mine had this on his computer back in 2004, it by far is my favorite game I've ever played, it was awesome! " My favorite campaine was the predator's".
I just started playing the game recently. I put it on the hardest level and it's pretty damn hard. Anybody ever beat on it this level. I love this game though. I need to get the expansion pack online somewhere. I never played that.
I've been meaning to re-install it and get back into it. How many people tend to be online at any given time, and what game type gets played? I was on daily in 2010/11.
For what it's worth, I mainly play Praetorian, and prefer deathmatch/team deathmatch. I sometimes play Runner (my old class) or Marine too.
I've been getting on there daily. My screen name is the same as the forum name I use.

I didn't know this game still is going i thought it was disconnected in 2008. I would love to play this once again its been forever for me. Always been my favorite game. Once i get home internet within the next month i would so be down to play AVP2 again. I used to love playing survivor in the (5/10) Strength and Honor server. I played a bit recently. Game still plays very well. Still looks decent too, surprisingly.
It's funny thinking about how much hardware has changed in the last 10 or more years (I was running a 64MB GeForce 2 at the time this game was released, haha!) - reminds me how old this game really is - yet this game still just feels very natural and really good.

I just noticed that the master server patch updated to 1.5.4. Servers are now showing up again.
There are about 20 people online right now at 11am.
*edit* as the day goes on more people are showing up too. Im glad to see the online community is still kickin.
Here's a site to check to see which servers are up and if anyone is playing in them. It's better than booting the game and then checking them manually.

the update broke the servers showing up on xfire.
instead of going through the game and looking, it was easier to see who was on and who was playing.
if it aint broke dont fix it but what ever,.
Finally got it to work on my computer so and play it all the time.
Has a funny glitch though. The Alien night vision and Pred Tech have had the inverted colors corrected.

it isn't a glitch, it's your GPU - keep in mind avp2 is 10+ years old... modern graphics cards can complain.
Just jumped on to play a game. Pleasantly surprised by the number of people playing! Had a great match. Never let this game die folks!
While I think the game pales in comparison to its predecessor, I still play it every now and then and it is still entertaining even after a decade. Although I usually do single player and not multiplayer.
Funny, just like I played Halo 2 before Halo CE, I played AvP2 first and got hooked on it. I tried to play the original and found I couldn't get into it the same.
