DIRECT PREQUEL TO THE ORIGINAL ALIEN

Hey folks,

Posting my screenplay for a direct prequel to the original ALIEN movie. Tried to get this to Ridley Scott but they won't entertain pitches for a rogue alien movie. Story is set about 6 months before the events of the Nostromo. No engineers and it explains what the space jockey was doing when it crashed on LV-426. Entirely different alien, based on the artistic rendering of HR Geiger's dead girlfriend, Lin.

is Rook, whilst female, suppose to be the same Model synthetic as Ash (and Rook from Romulus)? I ask because you refer to it as an 8-2, but it should be an A/2 😊

Good catch. Checked the ALIENS screenplay and it does indeed say A/2. I always thought Bishop said 8-2. But yeah, same time period, same model.

Any chance you could type a quick synopsis, sometimes I think it helps to get the overview of what your story is going to be about from your perspective before someone else reads it. And in regards to the space jockey do you have any reference photos from HR GIGERS gf? Thanks!

Don't want to give away too much to readers but the space jockey's transmission is intercepted by a deep space probe and there is another crew that's order to investigate where the transmission was being aimed at, while the nostromo is tabbed to investigate its origin.

No, I was looking for an original alien so I went through necromicon and thought that image was interesting as an AI alien spawned by "space jockeys." But I did eventually come across the comics which probably took its cue from the same rendering. I did add some of that lore in a subtle way once I found out about her. She comes to victims in their dreams, according to the comics. And there's a character that has a dream about a women with horns. Although the character is aware of the alien at that point, so it doesn't come off as fantastical in the moment. Only someone who knows about the woman in the dark would get the reference.

Since LV-426 is likely never gonna get explored as a concept, can this kind of co-exist in the same universe as Prometheus?

With the space jockeys being differentiated from the engineers of course

I would imagine it could. It doesn't really violate anything in Prometheus. LV-426 is a mere reference. The video pitch I linked in the original post would give you some idea.
