Interesting interview, Jorge kind of has some inconsistencies with himself a few times in this interview though, you can tell he would be a brutal boss.

It's a true miracle great movies get made so its a wonder we cling onto the things we love like we do.

Thanks for that reminder, @SM. I would add, "And reputations are staked and burned on mis-remembered trivia." At least in the world of fans...

They grounded O'Bannon's script, but their attempts to claim authorship and general treatment of him was laughably dickish.

I read that as "Dickensian." Not sure that wouldn't apply here, too?

Did someone say Resurrection? You know I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to pitch Winona Ryder for season 2 of Alien Earth. Sorry!  ;D

Great interview. What an interesting guy. Really good insight into his job particulars and the environment of the studio in that timeframe. Loved his honest and direct approach to being a reader against playing it safe. Feels like the industry needs more people with this mindset.

Hello there.  Alien Resurrection was such a great movie. Inventive and original. Not just a " copy " or a reboot   The music is great. The casting too. The idea ..... so much better than alien 3 ( just a number ) not good enough to have a name ....hi Mickael Bein   Why ?  Just watch the Jorge interview. The movie was full of people like that. Why nowadays people are unable to make this kind of movies anymore?

Great podcast guys!! It's so cool to hear some insider baseball with Alien Resurrection. The scene with Ripley and her clones gave me nightmares after I saw it haha.

Also, I can only imagine how awesome a Guillermo Del Toro Alien film would have been?

Great podcast.  You guys are continually knocking it out of the park.
Loved the insight into AR around JPJ and his directional style and the whole process of how scripts go from being written, submitted, evaluated and then green lit.

Also loved the little anecdote of Sigourney's professionalism to dive deep (literally) for her role as Ripley 8.
