What Animal Would You Want to See a Xenomorph Fight and Kill? (Read 1,014 times)

Given how Prey had a Predator go up against a Grizzly Bear and emerge victorious, if a future Alien movie or in the TV show Alien: Earth had a Xenomorph go up against any animal to show its strength, what would you want it to be?

David

Lion, tiger...

What could even do anything meaningful to one? Almost any animal would either be immediately overpowered by the Alien, or bite/gore the Alien then immediately die from acid splash.

For the same reason why we saw the Predator fight the bear, because it would be awesome to look at. We know how it goes down, but to see it go down? Cool factor.

I mean we know what a Predator can do vs a Tiger or a Lion after one of them fought a bear, but we'd still want to see it go down regardless just to see how.

Also seeing how the Predator managed to throw the bear around in that fight, wonder if a xeno even is on par with that kind of strength. Visualization would be great to see, especially for power scalers and debates for what ifs like myself.

But a predator wants a good fight, not to kill or incapacitate as quickly as possible, and biting one isn't an auto-lose.

Also I didn't ask why, I asked what.

I know, just that for the sake of displaying the Alien's physical capabilities on a non human or Predator being would be a fine scene to have.

As for what, let's make a nod to Music of the Spears and have it fight a big black cat like a leopard or a jaguar. If it's on Earth, let it sneak into a zoo in it's hunt for hosts and have it suddenly get ambushed by one of the big cats in there and a fight ensures.

Gimme the rhynth stampede from AvP but with elephants or rhinos.

Neila

Well, a visit to a zoo by the xenos could be interesting and offer a lot of action.

or a kind of farm in which a xeno catches a chicken and holds it in front of a facehugger's snout:

"Seriously, buddy? The thing already lays eggs." haha

Wysps

Squid or octopus 🐙🦑 I think a scene completely underwater could have some potential.

I'm always wondering how facehugger works with larger and tinier lifeforms. Like, how does it look when it jumps on a cat. Does it even bother jumping on a cat since there is not gonna be significant gain in scale in the next stage?

And what does it do when the only lifeforms available are plants and insects? Does it start spraying Plagiarus praepotens on these things?

BishopWantsIt

An Alien is not a Predator. Its strength doesn't come from 'strength'. It is the stuff of nightmares.
That said, I hope I never see an elephant stampede or a tiger vs Alien, even though judging from what you see in films, a tiger would destroy a single Alien and kill itself in the process.

BlueMarsalis79

It probably hibernates, or seeks a larger animal.

The Cruentus

One of the novels has the scientists pit earth predators against an Alien, I think one was a panther? I might be wrong.

I was really hoping for a neomorph, alien showdown in covenant
