Playing on PSVR2 and everything looks beautiful!
Played for another hour and a half! Literally screamed out loud when a Xeno dropped from the ceiling behind me lmao!
Noticed another Alex White-ism

Encrypted emails regarding sabotage to Gemini Lab's Xeno project for a certain corporation. Not sure if it's Seegson like in the Cold Forge or if it's Wey-Yu but cool call back if you've read Alex's books.
Also a fun Prometheus nod

I'm about 13 hours in and it feels like I'm getting close to the end!
And I just beat it! Wow that last boss encounter got my heart racing and also made me scream out loud again lol!
Overall this was an extremely cool experience that I'd highly recommend! The attention to detail in regards to the level design was gorgeous, for example the shiny floors had faint boot prints scuffed on and when there was blood pooled on the floor you'd see bloody xeno footprints coming out of it. The lighting was also phenomenal (at least with the PSVR2) which heightened the tension and really enhanced the atmosphere. The xenos for the most part rushed you and as long as you had enough ammo they were relatively easy to overcome, however you have to manually reload the guns and when you have multiple xenos coming at you this can get hectic real quick! And each Xeno still takes a good chunk of your ammo to kill. For example (on normal mode) the pulse rifle uses about 1/4 - 1/3 of your ammo to take one out, same with the shotgun and the revolver takes about 1/2 the ammo to kill one. Both the shotgun and revolver require you to individually load each bullet/shell into the gun which takes precious time and adds to both the tension and the realism; and maintaining a solid inventory of ammo was also a challenge but one that forced me to further explore the settlement. Survios made the claim that this was a spiritual successor to "Isolation" and in many ways that rang true from the save points to the motion tracker to the consoles with details that informed you of the settlements rise to chaos. I did indeed feel as though I was in an Isolation-esque scenario. Also Amanda Ripley and Sevestopol are mentioned.
Initially when I saw the achievement list and the mention of a Part 1 I immediately thought that this was going to be a 4-6 hour experience as the only other VR game I've played was Star Wars Tales from the Galaxy's Edge which also originally released in 2 parts with both parts being roughly 4-5 hours each. However my expectations were completely wrong as it took me 14 hours to beat Rogue Incursion (took me 9 to beat both parts of Star Wars). So even though it is part 1 it still feels like a complete experience and bodes well for a Part 2 feeling more like a full fledged sequel.
Alex White continues to write solid Alien stories, however the cliffhanger ending leads me to believe that the real meat of the story is yet to be shown!
I'll finish off with my nitpicks: first would be grabbing collectibles out of boxes as you'd end up grabbing the whole box and clumsily trying to get the ammo out of said box which was annoyingly frustrating at times. Also had a few glitches during scripted events that would leave me stuck trying to figure out what to do next when in reality the scripted event just wasn't loading. Lastly the xenos between crawling along the wall, leaping and standing they'd sometimes get caught up in the geometry and glitch out.
But mostly it was just an awesome experience to literally feel like you're in an actual setting from the franchise! 8.5/10
